As the title says, I am currently looking for 2 to 3 people who would be interested in helping me open up a naruto based roleplay.
SMALL THOUGHTS (You can skip this) Originally I was just going to see if I could find a group to rp the characters either here or on tumblr but my search came empty handed and indie roleplaying is something I'd rather not try again. Therefore I thought, well if you can't find it, make it. So this is how this idea came to be. My rambling aside now, I'll just give a quick rundown of what them theme of the roleplay will be and all that stuff that is needed for you to see if you want to help out.
THEME Yes it is Naruto based meaning you will only get to roleplay the characters from the series but instead of going the canon route, I've decided to make it au. It's nothing too fancy, just your regular school theme since it's pretty easy to work with from my perspective. What that means however is that your characters won't have any of their kekkei genkai or special jutsus but it also means that anything that happened in canon (i.e. character deaths) did not happen here. As far as the school theme goes, I want to have a good range of characters available including some of the younger ones therefore I'm thinking of making it from perhaps high school to college but that can be decided later, just know it will be a school. I know a canon rp might be more preferred but since there's pre time skip, time skip and post war,etc. timelines to go by, it would just be a bit of a mess to keep a coherent theme going. So, what I will do instead is make a group on the side in the rp for those who want to do canon naruto plots. Again to reiterate, it's a school theme so people can stick to 1 timeline, 1 age and such but you will have ample opportunities to do some canon plotting in the rp here and there. (Maybe even for an event who knows as of now)
LITERACY The rp is semi-lit meaning you do not need to write novelas nor are you expected to do para or 3rd if you're not comfortable with it. However, it is asked that one liners be avoided and you attempt your best to stay in character and avoid overusing memes, emojis, etc. Also, proper writing please- no more abbreviaitons when having casual conversations- and nONE OF t his. (No, just stop. Please. Sorry-)
PLATFORM Platform is most likely on Facebook because the risque life is the best life is it not- /slapped. No, but seriously the only reason why I'm sticking to FB is because I'm most familiar with that site and because it's user friendly for most people and the cleanest as well. If by any chance Facebok is being well, itself and disabling others, then the platform this rp will most likely move to is MeWe which isn't that hard to use either but not preferred in comparison. However, since we are going to be on FB I know it may be a worry to get disabled so don't worry about the name on your account, you can recycle a kpop rp account with an idol's name, use a random name, etc. As long as you indicate your character with the alt it's fine.
CHARACTERS As stated before, I do want to open up as many characters as I can for everyone both from the anime and manga (Even filler characters if you want) BUT I will not be accepting Boruto/Nex Gen kids (Simply because it will be weird having them at the same school w/ their canon parents and I also don't want people who rp the parents to feel pressured to pursue a relationship with the canon romantic interest of their facelaim. I know those ships aren't everyone's cup of tea and I want to respect that as much as possible) and OC's (This is just because I want to get people to rp the actual characters first and to avoid any mary sue oc's or inconsistencies, who knows, I may feel nice and allow this later) Finally, a last note regarding the characters, I'm just going to state this in case there's someone who may possibly have this question but yes, even though this is au, all the character's personalities, relationships (Only the family ones are mandated to stay intact. You can decide whether your character is friends with the others or if you want to start fresh,just make sure the other typist is okay with it.Don't worry, like I said, you don't HAVE to do any of the canon relationships nor should you feel obligated to by anyone.) and profiles ( general likes, dislikes, hobbies, etc.) will stay the way they are in canon.
NOTES FOR THE ADMIN POSITION I don't really have any specific skills I ask for from my admins such as coding or graphic design knowledge. You also don't have to be experienced in admining rps (Although that would be preferred). What I do need however, is that if you apply to be admin you do the work, you're active and talk/interact with the members, set an example for others by following the rules and contribute to admin discussions.
I think that's about it but if you have any questions regarding the roleplay or the job let me know via pm. If you want the job just send me a pm or comment here. Or, if you're just interested and want to let me know that you might join once it's opened then you can comment that too (for encouragement :D ). As far as characters go, I am still undecided between who to be although I'm most likely going to beSauceg-Sasuke. If I can't make an account for him for who knows what reason, I'll just go for Sakura (Since I already have an account with the name and I can't change it yet, so why not take advantage?) What I mean to say by this is, my commentary aside, you don't have to be 100% sure who you're going to be to apply for the admin spot but if you know right off the bat then splendid.
Once I get the 2 admins (or 3 although my inner pessimist is saying that's highly unlikely-) we can discuss faceclaims more thoroughly (Which is code for, I'll finally decide on someone rip), exchange accounts, discuss details, etc.
