Truth
Age“And then she kissed me!”
“Are you sure you just remember things differently?”
“I swear on my own life that happened it Seongwoo.” Eunha sat at her brother’s kitchen counter holding her now cold cup of coffee.
“And how drunk were you when it happened?”
“That’s not the- I didn’t even tell-” Eunha ran her hand through her hair, “What are you trying to say?”
“”Well all I’m saying is that usually married women don’t go around kissing their best friend and then wake up the next morning and act as nothing happened.”
Eunha groaned and laid her head on the kitchen counter, regretting everything from the night before. “What if it meant nothing Seongwoo?”
“Well, that’s the thing Eunha, it could have just been a drunken kiss,” Seongwoo said. “But you need to tell her how you feel so you know whether or not it was just a kiss or not.”
“I wish it was that easy. But I don’t want to ruin what we already have.” Eunha sighed quietly.
Seongwoo took a few steps back and leaned against the stove, clearly aggravated at Eunha. “I know you don’t want to ruin your friendship, but I can’t simply sit here and watch her play you for years! I mean how many years have you been in love with her? And now when she's showing signs of feeling the same you suddenly don’t want to tell her how you feel?”
“Why are you making her seem like a villain now?”
“It’s just- I just can’t sit here and watch you fall madly in love with a married woman Eunha.” Seongwoo retorted. “Besides; isn’t her husband is cheating on her? What if she’s just using you to get over him? I know I can’t be the only one seeing this.”
Eunha’s mouth hung open, unable to think of a response to counter Seongwoo’s argument.
“What if he’s right?” Eunha thought about how she had been used multiple times before, almost used as a stepping stool for people to get there ways in life. “Is Mina doing the same?”
Although she had felt a difference in the times before compared to Mina, Eunha knew she was too blinded by love to see through anything Mina did to her.
Eunha buried his head in her hands, hoping she could avoid Seongwoo’s questions, in a rather childish way.
“I don’t want to argue about this Eunha. I really don’t.” Seongwoo shook his head as he let out a deep sigh.
“Huh?”
“It’s just-” Seongwoo groaned “just forget it I don’t want to talk about it.”
Eunha lifted her head from her hands and stared at her nervous brother, “What were you going to say Seongwoo?”
“Forget it Eunha. I really don’t want to start an argument because I know you’re going to get upset.”
