Love under the Cherry Blossoms
The sand was dazzling as the waved played with them, giving the nature touch. The sound of birds on the sky and the clearness of the horizon, such a beautiful beach, he thought.
Reaching for the small button on his pocket, he grasped it and stared at that beautiful thing. He smiled and laughed.
No one could take the most precious thing from him, he thought. At least, he would try to protect the only thing he was left to reminisce everything.
He still remembered how he heard the man’s voice calling for his name sweetly…Chunnie ah…
How he missed those voices, he couldn’t help but to smile bitterly. Then, he imagined the man on his school uniform, exactly the same like he used to wear.
A bentou box was a simple gift, but that what the reason why Park Yoochun fell for this man.
View of their first date went into his mind, the perfect place under a blooming sakura tree. He couldn’t forget the way the man laugh, cuddled into his arm, sharing their first kiss, as they drowned into their deep love, but he fell to deep.
He opened his eyes as a tear slide into his cheek as he found his answer.
He would wait, even if it took forever.
Yoochun put the precious button, which he stole from the man’s uniform secretly, on his pocket. As he rushed into his car, he kicked the accelerator as the engine scream. It took few minutes before he arrived at his destination. He opened his car door as he brought the big black box.
There’s the sakura tree, just like old time, didn’t change at all. But there’s big difference, there’s no leaves because it’s winter. He wished it’s fresh green like the spring back there.
He couldn’t deny he was a bit sad, but he wouldn’t give up. He sat at the bench right under the tree. Yoochun opened the big black box as his precious cello showed up.
Yoochun remembered everything; the way the man smiled when he heard he played the cello. His dolphin voice that kept echoing on his ear and the only voices he wouldn’t get bored to hear for the rest of his life.
He used the bow as he made a soft tone, like he always did. He smiled when the melody came out perfectly.
It’s one year after the man left him for his study, but one month after the man left him forever. Yes, forever after a plane from Japan to Korea exploded in the middle of sea, nothing was left for him, just a simple button he treasured the most.
“Junsu ah, I miss you…” Yoochun mumbled as he kept the bow struck the strings perfectly. He would play for him. He would play for Junsu so Junsu would come to see him again.
How he wished he never asked Junsu to come back for their anniversary, yet he was too selfish. He couldn’t help but to think it’s his entire fault.
Heart-piercing harmony, yet so beautiful echoed all along the air beside him, he was still smiling.
A white small puffy cold ball made its way to Yoochun’s palm. It’s snowing, yet he didn’t stop. He wanted to play for Junsu. He wanted Junsu in his embrace once again; he wanted to treasure the man once again.
“I’ll wait for you…” Yoochun dried voice echoed as tears escaped his eyelids,” Junsu ah…”
“I want you…I need you…”
Yoochun shut his eyes as the tears made their way to his cheek.
“I love you,” he said the final word as he kept playing. He didn’t know what tired was, he didn’t. Just one thing he knew for sure, if he kept playing, his Junsu would come like always. How he missed that dolphin boy figure when he pecked to the music room at their schooldays.
The way Junsu startled when he called his name, telling him to come in and hearing Yoochun’s play. How Junsu always clapped when he finished, he loved everything.
Yoochun could feel his eyes started to feel heavy and he was so cold. But he didn’t stop, he couldn’t stop and he didn’t want to stop.
My Suie would…come back…for…sure…
…
…
…
Chunnie ah, why are you sleeping?
Suie, is that you?
Of course, it’s me!
The sakura tree was blooming beautifully, as the couple sat under it. Yoochun with his cello as Junsu with his puffy cheek and dolphin voice
I’m not; I’m playing your favourite instrument, Junsu ah…
Eh? Really? I want to hear it once again…
A perfect smile carved on his lips, because he knew he had found his Junsu once again.
I’ll play for you…
Forever…
THE END
