The rain dropped insistently, drip-drop it went, slowly creating mist on the windows.

A young woman stared through the misty glass and using her finger, traced on it. Slowly she formed the words,

신혜성.

She smiled weakly at it and then erased it with her hands.

What’s the point anyway?

He won’t even remember you, Rhanie. He won’t even think of you right at this moment.

He’s stuck there in that stupid awards show of his, not knowing that you’re here; All alone…waiting…waiting for him.

He won’t even come.

He won’t even notice that you’re gone now.

Maybe he’s right.

Maybe it’s really not meant to be.

Maybe you’re just stupid to have believed that after 5 years of being together…you’ll be together forever.

Rhanie took a deep breath and turned away from the window. She looked all around the room one last time and sighed. She’s been here for such a long time, what’s the purpose of leaving anyway?

Would it change anything?

Would she get what she wanted if she left?

Would he return to her if she left?

“Well, better than being here anyway.” Rhanie said to herself and sighed yet again.

She took her bags from the living room sofa and started towards the door.

“I’ll be missing you a lot.” She muttered as she looked at the place one last time. “I won’t be seeing you anymore. I’ll…”

Rhanie gulped down the lump that was forming at . She has been telling herself again and again that she was really tired of crying, and she's had enough already. She was really going to stop this madness and just leave it as it should be.

But no matter how hard she tried, tears just fell.

Oh the memories.

She walked slowly, checking her steps, afraid she’d fall.

“Come on Hunny, don’t you even trust me?” His laughing voice sounded from behind her.

She giggled.

“You’re crazy did you know that? What’s this surprise all of a sudden?” Rhanie said trying hard not to laugh.

“Just walk further, you’re close to it now.” He said, his voice sounding so excited, Rhanie couldn’t help but laugh.

She took normal steps this time, and after a while he asked her to stop.

“Okay wait,” He said, excitement truly evident in his voice now. There was a click from what sounded like a door. “Here we go…” He said as he held on to her shoulders and pushed her slowly.

Rhanie couldn’t help but grin at this. Her boyfriend was seriously too romantic. It just made her feel like it was the first time they were together, even if it has been a year already.

“You can open your eyes now.” He finally said.

Slowly, Rhanie opened her eyes and had them adjust to the light.

She gasped.

“Oh my god. Hyesung…this…Bunny!!!!” Rhanie said, turning towards her boyfriend who was grinning widely at her.

“Well, do you like it?” Hyesung said, approaching her and smiling widely.

“Ah…wha—do I look like I don’t like it? I’m speechless here!” Rhanie said laughing. She couldn’t find the right words to express what she felt.

Hyesung spread his arms wide and she smiled and hugged him.

“You didn’t have to, though.” Rhanie said, her eyes closed. She loved the feel of his arms around her.

Hyesung chucked, “I wanted to. This way, it won’t be hard for us to be together now. I’m just a block away from you, and everything you need is right here already.” He said, slowly brushing the hair off her face.

Rhanie looked up and smiled, “You’re so sweet, you know that?”

He smiled and wrinkled his nose, “Because I love you so much, you know that?”

Rhanie wrinkled her nose too and both of them laughed.

“But seriously Hun, I’ll do everything for you.” Hyesung said, his tone suddenly turning serious.

Rhanie smiled at this, her face blushing, “I know.”

“And I’ll be here forever too, I’ll be here for you and with you forever. Remember that.” Hyesung said, hugging her tightly now.

She hugged him back, “And so would I. I won’t leave my bunny ever ever ever ever.”

Hyesung laughed and broke away, “Yes, because if you do, the bunny might get lost.”

Rhanie laughed, “Yeah, he might never find his way home.”

Hyeusng sighed, “I’m really so lucky to have you. And if ever I do get lost, I’ll find my way home Rhanie. I’ll find you.”

She smiled at this.

He’s really everything she ever wanted.

“I love you.” Rhanie said, touching his cheeks.

He grinned, leaned over and kissed her.

She welcomed it like the morning air.

“I love you too.” He muttered in between the kiss.

She couldn’t say anything anymore, she knew this by heart. She knew that whatever happened, she would never forget this.

“Liar.” Rhanie said, muttering to the room and looking at it as if it did her wrong.

Tears suddenly fell.

Rhanie let them flow, “You said you won’t leave me, said you’ll be there for me forever.”

She closed her eyes, tears fell down her cheeks like hot water.

“You said you loved me.”

She sobbed.

“But where are you now Hyesung? Where are you?”

She opened her eyes again and looked at the place one last time. She wiped her tears and took her bags, closed the door and left.

Left forever.

But you lied.
