Colour

Habit

Raising my brows I couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight in front of me.

Junho was sitting on the couch, his tablet on his lap and Chansung sitting closely next to him. For a second I feared that he would crawl onto his lap as well, but I shook my head at that thought.

They were talking to each other seriously while gesticulating towards the screen.

Without asking what they were up to, I had a hunch that they were online-shopping again.

Placing the cheese into my sandwich, I decided to join them on the couch.

“Hyung, do you like these?” Chansung asked as he noticed me walking towards them.

Glancing over his shoulder, nodding my head, I admitted that I indeed liked the pair of jeans he was pointing at.

I was very sure that they would suit him perfectly. ‘Maybe a little too well’, I thought to myself, biting into my sandwich in order to hide a sigh.

“I like them.”

“Then you can order these for me, Junho.” Chansung immediately announced, patting his friends shoulder as he added them to the shopping cart.

“Don’t look at me like that, Hyung. Chansung wanted to order something, not me.” Junho said, pouting at me.

Seems as if he had guessed what I’ve been thinking.

Laughing as his pout got more sever, probably noting that I wasn’t very convinced, I told him that this might be true, but that he was still the person who introduced Chan to online shopping.

Taking a deep breath, walking into the living room, I tried to calm down. It had been a ty day and I was craving some Chansung.

This man always managed to calm me down. I wasn’t sure what he did to soothe this unsettled feelings inside of me, but whatever it was, it made me crave for more.

I was really looking forward to some alone time with him. However, it seemed as if I had to wait a little longer to enjoy what was mine.

He and Taec were chilling on the couch while reading some new mangas.

Heaving a deep sigh, I decided to go and make myself something to eat. Lately he was reading a lot of mangas which he got from Taecyeon. It was something both of them enjoyed very much, and that was all that was important.

I smiled to myself as I noticed myself loosening up when sitting down next to him. The body warmth he was emitting was very calming.

Late he’ll be able to concentrate onto me fully, I told myself.

I didn’t even ask Khun what he was up to when he came out of his room whistling a happy tune. His clothes told me everything I needed to know. He was going golfing.

I couldn’t contain a slight pout when I heard that a certain door opened and closed behind me.

It was Chansung’s door.

Sending me his sweetes smile, apologetically raising his shoulders he mouthed me that Chan had invited him.

Shaking my head I just heaved a sight. Sharing your boyfriend with four other guys was hard, I had to admit that. But the beaming smile Chan sent me when he approached me and gave me a goodbye peck, made me realise that I wouldn’t change a thing about that.

A part of me wanted to tag along with them. However, I knew that it wouldn’t be possible when I looked at the empty music sheets in front of me.

Looking up and into Chansungs eyes, made me realise that I had to finish this till he came back. I would be too occupied when he reached home again.

Raising a brow at me before smiling knowingly I received another kiss, a longer and more promising one.

Okay, Khun could have him for the day and play some golf with him. At least I would have a piece of him when they came back.

It was the fourth day in a row I had to share Chansung with someone. This time Wooyoung was preparing to leave the house, closely followed by Chansung.

I had a hunch that they were visiting a vintage shop or an art gallery.

The new song I was working on was making a good progress and I felt relieved that I could work on it some more while the boys were out shopping for eye-catching things.

Chansung was way too distracting for me to finish this piece today if he was around.

“We won’t take long, hyung. I just found this new shop and told Chan about it and after talking about it he decided t go and check it out.” Wooyoung explained to me while stepping next to me.

“Sure, Wooyoungie. No worries. Chansung enjoys going out with you and I can use this short time to finish my song.” I told him with a smile. For a split second he seemed unsure.

Chuckling at him I patted his cheek.

“Have fun, okay? I will order some pizza for the 6 of us later. Just call me before you’ll return. As far as I know you aren’t a fan of cold food, and neither is Chan.”

The timing was perfect.

Just when I signed my finished song did the front door open.

The pizza was ready and Taec, Junho, Khun and I were already waiting for Woo and Chan to reach home.

Wooyoung seemed to be in a good mood, and so was Chan. However, I noticed a crease between his eyebrows.

It was something very typical for him when he was trying to figure something out.

I decided to not bother and ask him while eating with the others. I would do so when we were alone.

Not long after he went to his room, right after getting something from the hallway.

It was a picture.

Very curious about the picture he had bought and the reason why he had been thinking so hard made me follow him right away.

He was lazily lying on his bed, the picture placed on his desk, right opposite where he was lying.

A soft smile appeared when I noticed that he was in by the painting.

I had the feeling that whatever he had been trying to figure out was something positive.

Nothing to worry about, I told myself.

“Do you mind me joining you, Chan?” I asked softly, grasping his attention.

“Of course not, hyung.” He sweetly smiled at me while patting the empty space right next to him.

Once I lay next to him, his arm resting on my shoulders, I checked out the picture.

It was an inspiring painting he had bought. It showed a back that was adorned by different colours.

I could barely look away. I really enjoyed it. But I was curious about Chansung. Would I know what he was thinking when I watched him closely?

My brows rose as I looked right into his eyes when turning my head.

Instead of looking at the picture, he was looking at me.

“Is there something on my nose?” I asked him amused.

“Colour.” He muttered and kissed me.

The kiss was short, but very sweet and I could feel his touch lingering where his lips had been just a second ago.

“Mind telling me what you’ve been trying to figure out?” I asked, combing through his hair.

“I already figured it out. I realised why I bought this painting as soon as I saw your reaction to it.” He smiled as I could only raise a brow at that.

“I felt drawn to this painting as soon as I’ve seen it, without knowing why. But noticing that you felt the same way, made me realise what was so special about it.”

I couldn’t help but look at it again. It was a really inspiring painting. Just looking at it made me crave to go to my piano and write a new melody.

“It portrays us. The six of us, I mean.” He chuckled as he saw my confused look. “With this I mean: Living together and becoming more like brothers than friends, means adopting habits.”

I could only nod at that. Thinking about it this was more than true. We were harmonizing with each other. Forming new habits, if you wanted to call it like that.

“I’m that guy in the picture. And each one of you is a colour.” Chansung started explaining to me, and I literally hung on his lips. It was very interesting to listening to him explaining his mind. “You guys formed a new me. The me that I’m now. A better me, in my opinion.” He smiled.

“And the painting would look horribly empty without us. Without colours, I mean, right?” I asked in amusement.

However, the determined look he was sending me shut me up.

“It would. It would look lonely and empty, just like I me without you guys.” He muttered before kissing me.

“Lucky you, I guess. We already spoiled you.” I huffed when we separated.

“Indeed. I’m a very lucky man.” He laughed against my neck.

“We can hang it up in the living room, so all of us can see it at any time, okay?” I asked, my body getting tingly with every kiss I received on my neck.

“Good idea. I hope they won’t fight about the colours.” He muttered, amusement swinging in his voice as he reached for the hem of my shirt.

“You should tell them what colour they are. At least it’s your picture, right?” I offered and he nodded.

Getting rid of his shirt as well, tracing his collar bones, a funny question came to my mind.

Scooting closer, placing my arms over his shoulders, I kissed him before asking curiously: “Say, what colour am I?”
