'oh, noona.' 

'don't call me noona,' 

'but you're older than me,' 

'i actually look younger than you.' 

'we're getting off topic,' 

every time they meet. every. single. time. 

 

seulgi sighs. 'okay, whatever. why are you here?' 

'to see you~' 

her heart unexpectedly skips a beat then, making her cough. 

'noona? you okay?' wonwoo asks, thumping her on the back. 

'yeah' she takes a deep breath. 

out of the corner of her eye, she sees joy walking over. 'kang seulgi? why are you coughing?' 

'idk. um, wonwoo, stay here, i'll come back,' she pulls on joy's arm until they're around the corner. 

 

'what, don't you want to be with your boyfriend?' 

'i don't get why people keep saying that.' 

'hmm.' 

'anyways. just then, he said he came here to see me, and i couldn't breathe.' 

'that means you like him,' 

'what.' 

'congrats kang seulgi, wonwoo's officially your boyfriend!' 

'what? even if i like him, that doesn't mean he likes me,' 

'he does.' 

'he does?' 

'he was smiling like an idiot every time you weren't looking.' 

and seulgi has another coughing fit. 

 

wonwoo appears out of nowhere. 'seulgi noona!' 

'take care of her wonwoo, she's an idiot,' and joy leaves. 

'noona, you're getting old,' he laughs. 

'i'm not,' seulgi avoids his gaze. 

'hmm?' he tilts his head to one side. 

she covers her face with both hands. 'aish, it's all your fault,' 

'what is?' 

'it's nothing,' 

'tell me,' he knows she can't resist his puppy dog eyes. 

'aish, well, joy just told me something.' 

'mhmm. she was calling you by your full name the whole time.' 

'i didn't even notice. she's dead when i see her next,' 

'anyways. you were saying?' 

'well. she said you l-l-li-' 

'why are you stuttering,' he laughs. 

it comes out as a whisper. 'like,' 

 

he doesn't even hesitate. 'i do.' 

seulgi coughs again. 

'i was going to tell you soon, but i guess i'm thankful to joy for speeding things up,' 

'wha-' and seulgi is enveloped in a big hug. 

her heart feels like it's going to burst out of her chest, but it's a nice feeling. 

'kang seulgi. i like you. be my girlfriend.' 

their previous encounters flash through her mind, and she finds something in common: every time, she wanted to stay with him longer. 

'...okay.' 

he hugs her tighter, then lets go. without looking, she knows he's smiling like an idiot. 

and she feels the smile forming on her face too.
