Poem: Child Of Caera
A Child's FateFrom the depths of the sea
Was a child, filled with curiosity
Dreaming about the world above, he always wondered
When he would see the girl of light
He sought the light with an outstretched hand
As he reached of age
He wished to achieve his dream
To see her world with his own eyes
Join in his dream, in his song of hope and love
Where the sun, illuminated the sky
Pray that the light may sway, sway towards his way
For the child's own fate
From the depths of the sea
Was a child, now at the surface of the light
Regardless of the price, he sacrificed
The gift of voice
She, who was nearly devoured by the sea
Unbeknownst to her
She brought her savior in, to where she lived
Gave his name, where they lived side by side
Join in their tale, in her time, of friendship and trust
Where the sun shone upon the sea
Vow to take the light, to stay by her side
For the child's own fate
May his chosen path lead him with kindness
Yet, he knows two fates await him, be it joy or regret
Near the end, he will find his courage, yet meet his weakness
For the light in his heart had fallen for another
Under the moonlight
With the gleaming knife
He stares upon his beloved
With the words of his brothers in mind
He raised it up high, only to hesitate at the sight
Intertwined with another, she peacefully sleeps
A gentle smile adorning her face
With his resolve, he threw the shard back to the sea
Looking towards the starry sky with content
At the first ribbon of sunrise
He looks upon the ocean from whence he came
With a last glance at his reflection
He closes his eyes
To welcome the abyss that awaits him
From the depths of the sea
Was a child no longer in sight
His beloved cried
With a goodbye
He flew to the sky
