14 year old Jiyong attentively wrote the words on paper with gentle . His eyes squinched as he struggle under the moon's silver light as his only lamp. Earlier that day, Jiyong's eyes had been stuck on his dad's who was leaning over the patio. A few minutes passed of Jiyong wondering what caused the deep frown on his father's face and he finally collected enough courage to ask.

​"Dad, what's the matter?" he whispered into the wild breeze.

​His father let out a breath of air through his nostrils, composing himself. "Jiyong," he started before becoming uncertain, "No, nevermind. This is amidst your mother and I."

​Jiyong narrowed his eyes. "I'm old enough now dad. There's no need to hide things from me."

​His father stared at him for a moment before gesturing to the chair across from him. "Come and sit then." Jiyong did as he was told and waited for the story to begin. After a moment of silence, his father said, "I'm being haunted."

​Jiyong worriedly frowned. "Haunted? By what? We can call the police and-"

​His father cut him off mid sentence with a mild chuckle. "No, it's not what you think." He heaved a sigh. "When I was younger, I was a terrible player. Always having so many girls in my bed every night. I reciprocated my ways when I met your mother. She accepted me with open arms even when she knew about my past. She loved me when no one else could, not even myself and for that I will forever be grateful. Nevertheless, I can't help but feel guilty when I am in bed with her. When I make love to her, my mind goes to the various girls I have been with and it compares their bodies to hers." His lips trembled. "That is what I will always regret."

​Jiyong could only stare at his father in sympathy. Later that night, Jiyong could not fall asleep. The words spoken by his father still echoed in his head. He couldn't endure it anymore so sat down at his desk and began writing a letter to his future wife.

​A/N: Hello! It's been so long since I've last updated xD. This story is one-shot and once again it's not mine but just as much as I've wanted to write a story, this one has been on my mind for a while now. It's just perfect! Credits to the owner.
