That Heart Wrenching News

“You think this is easy for me? All I am asking for is your understanding. The company was the one who decided that this scandal would be good for me. I am the most boring member in EXO. This dating scandal with Hyeri would bring in some popularity for me. Can you try to understand Jihyo ah?”

Those words have been ringing in her ears since she last spoke to him. Tears slides down her cheeks as she recalls him begging for her understanding. This is their very first serious quarrel since they dated. Truth be told, their busy schedules has taken a toll on their relationship. While Jihyo who is loud and boisterous is actually the calm and patient one, Suho who appears calm and reserved is the one that panics the most.

It has been hard for both to move forward in their relationship because they have to meet in secret. 3 days ago, Jihyo was so excited that she could finally meet her boyfriend. After dinner, things just got heated up because of an argument.

Suho said that he has to pretend to be in a scandal with another idol. This is to boot interest in his private life. While he disagree with what the company has in store for him, he finally exceed to the request.

JHO: So you agreed?

SHO: I have no choice.

JHO: You don’t have a choice or say?

SHO: Well I did. Initially I got angry but after much thought I think it would be good for my popularity. Besides the company said it would just be for about 6 months.

Jihyo was speechless. She stared deep into her boyfriend’s eyes. She felt hurt about his decision. As his girlfriend, she was hurt that he never even ask for her opinions and thoughts. As a leader she knows why he agrees to this.

JHO: I’m hurt by your decision. I honestly am. (She confesses as she withdrew her hands from his.)

Suho understood perfectly what she meant. He watched her walk in silence. Before he could reach out for her, she turned.

JHO: How could you not even discuss it with me?

SHO: I didn’t think it was a big deal. Why are you getting angry at me?

JHO: I am not angry …I am just disappointed.  Sorry… I don’t think I am in the right state of mind to talk to you now. I’m going to leave.

Jihyo turned away and quickly try to get as far away from Suho as possible. Suho ran after the girl and grabbed her hand.

SHO: Why are you like this? Where is the rational Jihyo that I know?

JHO: After dropping such news to me, how do you expect me to be rational?

SHO: Goodness Jihyo ah… don’t make things difficult for me! (He raised his voice at her.)

That was the very first time he did such a thing. Jihyo held in all her anger and disappointment. The look on her eyes was enough to tell Suho that he really hurt her feelings. Jihyo pursed her lips trying her very best to remain calm.

SHO: Come babe, let me send you home. I am sorry. (He apologized softly as he reaches out for her hand.)

She gently pushed his hand away.

JHO: I need some time alone. I’ll go home myself. (She said to him with tears pooling in her eyes.)

Her words left Suho stunned. She quickly puts on her hoodie and mask before flagging for a cab. All Suho could afford was to watch as she leaves him there. She doesn’t want him to see her cry. She is stronger than that. Her heart beats with so much pain. Jihyo wonders if the feelings she is feeling right now is one of a broken heart. She stepped into the dorm and tiptoed her way to her room. She was startled to see Mina awake. Mina who was reading a book could sense something was wrong.

MN: Gwencana? (She held her wrist as she exited the toilet.)

Jihyo looked at her member and good friend before tears began to roll down her cheeks. Mina quickly pulled her into a warm hug. The last she saw Jihyo cried was when they won an award at Music Bank.

Mina listened to every word that Jihyo said and she got very irritated with the way Suho handled this issue.

MN: What do you plan to do?

JHO: You know what, maybe this is a sign. Both of us are too busy with our schedules. I should have known better that it is hard maintaining a relationship as idols. Stubborn me! I really thought this relationship was going to work.

MN: Are you telling me that you will end it?

JHO: What would you do if you were me?

MN: I honestly don’t know.

JHO: I understand if it’s just acting for a drama. However, it is not. I may not be as slim, pretty or as talented as other idols but I still have my pride. That is the only thing that I could hold on too.

MN: Jihyo ahh…. Have you really thought it through?

JHO: I did. Though I know I will end up crying but I think it is for the best right. Right…?

It has already been 3 days since they last communicated with each other. Suho still couldn’t understand Jihyo’s anger. He felt sorry for not discussing things with her but he feels like she over reacted.  He slumped on the sofa at the practice room. It wasn’t his day. He screwed up his own concert preparation. His mind was so occupied with plenty of nonsense. He was worried because in 2 hours, his scandal will explode. While he worry about what and how EXO-L is going to feel and react, his mind could escape the disappointment on Jihyo’s face when he told her a few days back. He was seating and thinking on his own until the maknae came over and sat beside him. Since he informed his group of his decisions, Sehun has been the unresponsive one. However Suho knows that he was the unhappy about this whole charade.

SHO: Are you angry with me?

SH: Nah… (He tried denying it.)

SHO: You know I am doing this for us.

SH: Ani hyung, you are doing this for yourself. If you honestly are doing it for us, I will feel a bit better but nope.

SHO: Hun ah…

SH: I can only imagine how terribly disappointed Jihyo is feeling right now.

SHO: Did Mina share anything with you?

SH: Nope… why would she? Besides… any intention of reconciliation, I have thrown it away. She no longer replies to my text messages nor does she answer my calls.

SHO: Was it because of what happened between me and Jihyo?

SH: I don’t know and frankly I don’t want to know. If the truth… things are like this because of you, I’d rather not know because I will just be angry at you.

SHO: Hun ah….

SH: Let’s get back to practice.

Before resuming back, Suho managed to text Jihyo.

Let’s meet at our usual place at 11pm.

Scandalicious

The girls were in the studio practicing for their comeback when the news broke out. Jihyo pretended like it was not a big deal but her girls knew that it is. Mina tried reassuring the rest that Jihyo is a strong girl.

It is easy to notice how she is affected by all this. She misses her steps, didn’t hit the right note and looks spaced out from too much thinking.  Back at the dorm, she couldn’t even finish her meal. It was 11 when she told the girls that she will be meeting him. The girls hoped that she would feel better after this.

Jihyo walked up the small hill and absorbed the silence. She has been staying away from the internet because she knew it would break her apart. She sat herself on a bench as she looks out at Seoul City.

Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock

It is already 1.15am. She tells herself that he would come but he didn’t. She texted him but there wasn’t any reply. She called him but it was not answered. At 2.30am sharp, she turned to find Mina and Nayeon calling out her name. She smiled at the 2 girls. Nayeon quickly pulls her into a hug. Jihyo finally breaks down and cry.

JHO: He said he would come and I believed him. (She sobs uncontrollably.)

MN: Mianhe Jihyo ah. You shouldn’t be going through this. This is so not fair.

NY: Jihyo ah, look at me. (She demanded.)

Jihyo looks up at her unnie.

NY: Cry as much as you want. Cry as loudly as you want. Come tomorrow, I hope things will get better.

And she did. Once they were back at the dorm, Jihyo quickly washes up and tucked in bed by Mina. The swollen eyes help put her to sleep.

Breakfast appear solemn. The girls know Jihyo is hurting and they tried their best to cheer her up. They were in the van on the way to the company when the radio announces…

‘Breaking news… Fans who didn’t believe that Suho was dating Hyeri got hysterical when they see him leaving her apartment at 4am in the morning. His manager seen fetching his at the lobby seems taken aback by the number of fans who were angry and disturbing the peace at the uptown apartment….’

Jihyo looks away. She continues staring out the window. If only he know how much he broke her heart. Recording was tough today because was not in a good condition. Finally she saw his name on her phone. She didn’t know what to do except reject it.

Suho almost slammed his phone. He knew that he already hurt her too much. This is the 15^th time she rejected his calls. He knew he has to explain to her a lot of things. He returned to his dorm. Although the guys were generally cool and level headed with what was happening, Sehun ignored the leader and headed to his own room.

XM: Gwencana?

SHO: Neh…

XM: How is Jihyo taking it?

SHO: Not well… I screwed up.

XM: Explain yourself clearly. She is a mature girl. I hope she understands.

Suho change into something more comfortable and covered his face. He needs to see whether the girls are back in their dorm. He was just about to leave when he saw the devastating news.

Flashback

A couple weeks ago, Suho’s manager came to Jihyo. He expressed that he is aware of their relationship. He hopes that Jihyo would end it for Suho’s sake. Jihyo ignored it because she personally felt that her relationship with him would and should end only if they want to. Looking at the way it has turned out, maybe splitting was the best option.

Jihyo sat on her bed and crafted the text under the duvet. She already packed her stuffs and will be going back to her grandma’s place for Chuseok that evening. She just needed to get this done and over with and start anew.

“Oppa… As a leader, I understand that sometimes we have to do things we don’t like. I do that too sometimes. Please know that I understand why you make that decision.  As a leader, I probably would make similar decisions. Do know that I am not blaming you.

However understanding it doesn’t mean I could accept it. I am a girl first before I am a leader. There are limits too with regards to how I feel and respond when things turn out like this.

 

It was a roller coaster ride right? This relationship, I meant. While we have little memories together, we do have good ones. So while most of the memories we have are still pleasant, lets’ just continue being sunbae and hoobae to each other. I think it will be good for the both of us. I want to leave this relationship without any resentment. I am sorry if it would take time for me to even talk or text you anymore after this but let’s focus on our career since you already made your choice. If you are angry with my decision, I apologize.

I will cheer for you from afar sunbae. “

 

He read those words over and over again. He let her down. He doesn’t know what to do. Regret came too early. He texted her to answer his calls but received nothing in reply. He tried hanging around the convenient store where they normally went but never bumped into her.

It has been 2 weeks since he last met her, spoke to her, held her hands and kissed her. Although they have gone for almost 2 months not meeting each other, this 2 weeks were indeed more painful to go through. Yes, he saw her on television when she sang with Baek Ayeon and a few others but he wants her. 

He wanted to attend to JYP Nation in Korea but it coincides with his company’s concert. He heard too many stories of JYP Nation male stars who were affectionate with Jihyo. Although he knew that Jihyo trained the longest and probably was closest to the artist in the company he cannot help but felt jealous.

We Don’t Talk Anymore

Suho was staring at the refrigerator in the convenient store. He was thinking if he should buy soju or just beer to drown his sorrows when he heard giggles. He turned towards the entrance and saw Mina, Chaeyoung and Nayeon enters. The girls abruptly stop giggling when they notice his presence. The bow and politely greeted him. When they were about to turned into one of the aisle, he just had to stop and ask them something.

SHO: Mianhe… Can I ask you girls how is Jihyo doing?

NY: She is doing fine sunbae.

SHO: Were you girls coming home from schedules?

CY: Yes we had a performance at an army camp.

SHO: Performance? Is she in the car?

NY: Ani… she went home already.

MN: Mianhe sunbae, we need to get our stuffs quickly before manager unnie come looking for us.

SHO: I really didn’t mean to hurt her.

The girls just bowed and left him there.

 

 

Although life goes on as per normal, Jihyo heart will never be the same again. Although plenty of idols confesses to her, Jihyo was never attracted to them. She did however become close friends with some of those guys. Her outgoing and friendly personality is one that is appreciated by most people.

TWICE is busy preparing for a comeback. She has been in and out of the recording studio since like forever. In her hoodie, she headed to the convenience store just opposite of JYP building. She smiled at GOT7 Jinyoung who happened to be there too. As they make their way back to the company, Jinyoung could help but noticed there is sadness in Jihyo’s eyes.

JR: Gwencana Jisoo ah?

JHO: Neh oppa… why do you ask?

JR: I have known you since the very first time I come into JYP. I can sense when something is bothering you.

JHO: I’m going through a tough time but give me some time. I am pretty sure that I’ll be fine.

JR: Arra….

Like any Music Festival, plenty of KPOP idols will gather to perform for everyone. TWICE has performed at music festivals before and most of the time it will be with 2PM sunbaenim. This time round GOT7 is heading to the same destination. JYPE prepared a bus for the staff and idols.

In the bus, Jinyoung could see that the TWICE members was giving silent encouragement to the leader. He wondered what happened that made the cheerful leader to be so down. In Jihyo’s head, she couldn’t help but worry. This will be the first time she will be performing at the same venue with her ex-boyfriend. Honestly, she don’t know how she would react when she sees him later. GOT7 and TWICE dressing room is just next to each other. Nayeon gathered the girls softly.

NY: Lets be very careful okay.

JY: Yup GOT7 sunbaenim are eagle eyed. They can sense a lot of stuff. Jihyo….himnae.

JHO: I will try.

MN: Don’t worry… We all have each other.

It was rehearsal time. EXO has been rehearsing for quite some time. They needed longer rehearsal time due to the complexity of their stage performance. Everyone can see that Suho was nervous. He has been waiting to see someone he yearns to see for so long. He misses her badly. Sadly, it was his stand-in girlfriend who appeared in the arena. Hyeri brought a small towel and wanted to dab and dry his sweat but he refused.

HYR: Let me wipe it….there are many eyes here.

Sehun, Xiumin and Chen rolled their eyes. Sadly he has no choice. Unfortunately, the moment Hyeri started wiping his sweat, TWICE entered the arena. Although Jihyo’s heart almost breaks, she was smiling and greeting the staff and other idols. TWICE appeared nonchalant. They were smiling and greeting and joking around with each other.

GOT7 who was seated nearby called out for their label mate. TWICE immediately sat around the boys. They waited for the one of the stage manager to do a briefing. Jinyoung handed a small mineral water to her. Jihyo smiled at him and Suho sees that. He felt even more jealous that Jinyoung get to ruffle her hair. TWICE was up next for rehearsal. They were at the side of the stage putting on their audio and mic. The girls tried to be normal but could see that Hyeri was at the side of the stage too. When EXO finally were done, Suho wanted to find an opportunity to speak to Jihyo but has to abandon the plan when he saw Hyeri stood beside TWICE as she introduced them to her boyfriend. Most of the boys look at Jihyo.

NY: Chukae on your new relationship Hyeri sunbae and Suho sunbae.

HYR: Gomawo… We felt relief that we no longer have to hide. (Hyeri explains as she holds onto Suho’s arm.)

The moment Jihyo saw that, she opened ….

JHO: Congratulation sunbaes, I am sure you will care and cherish each other for a long time. Mianhe we got to get started with the rehearsal. (She excused herself and led the girls up stage.)

Jihyo’s heart which was already broken now smashed into millions of pieces.

Jinyoung who was seated nearby kind of have an idea of what is going on. Jaebum who came to sit beside him couldn’t agree more.

JB: Something is wrong with Jihyo….

JR: I thought I was the only one who noticed.

MK: I noticed it too…. (Mark interrupted them.)

BB: Actually I have heard rumours… (Bambam said as the rest of the GOT7 boys gathered.)

YG: But Bam, those are just rumours.

JK: Rumours starts from somewhere.

JB/JR: How come we haven’t heard anything?

YJ: Is it about the dating thing?

JB: What is it about?

BB: I heard Suho hyung and Jisoo were dating but his company kind of forcefully break them up by having hyung participate in the scandal with Hyeri.

JR: You sure?

BB: At least that was what I heard from Amber.

YG: Me too… Although Jisoo… I meant although Jihyo tried to appear like she is okay, everyone who knew her knows that she no longer is the same.

YJ: It when the company interferes.

JB: Damn right!

JB/JR: We have to protect and cheer Jihyo up!

JR: Let’s be there for her. Let’s make sure that she won’t have time to be sullen about what she sees today. I wouldn’t want to see my little sister sad any longer.

When TWICE was done, EXO who was a corner of the arena couldn’t help but watched their hyung watch TWICE in sadness. Xiumin believes that TWICE is a group that brings energy and life. But his hyung looks like he was going to cry.

Suho felt bitter as he saw Jinyoung gave Jihyo water and towel. He felt affected to see JB pinching Jihyo’s cheek. Then it felt weird when he sees Yugyeom and Bambam playfully dancing in front of TWICE but specifically right in front of Jihyo.

Once rehearsal was done, everyone is now back at the waiting room getting and their make-up and hair done. Jinyoung and Bambam happened to chance upon Suho, Xiumin and Kai. They greeted each other but Suho just had to ask.

SHO: Seems like GOT7 and TWICE are close!

JR: Neh hyung. Although we debuted first, we trained with some of them. So we are already very close.

SHO: I can see that, especially with Jihyo. (Suho mentioned with a tinge of jealousy surprising Xiumin and Kai.)

JR: Of course, Jihyo is so precious. I worry about her when she hurts, doesn’t smile and cries.

XM: Sounds like a little sister to me… (Xiumin tried to naturalize the tension.)

BB: Neh hyung, Jihyo may not be the youngest in JYPE but she is the baby of the company.

JR: She will forever be protected by her oppas. She is my darling little sister.

While Suho felt relieve that Jinyoung treated her like his little sister, he could not help but wonder if people know anything about them.

KAI: It must be tough if Jihyo decides to date in the future with so many brothers looking out for her.

BB: You couldn’t have said it better hyung. But compared to her brothers, anyone who wants to date her or even dares to hurt her should be wary of her sisters.

XM: You mean TWICE…

BB: Ani….

KAI: Miss A?

JR: Wonder Girls sunbaenim…

BB: I am pretty sure that if something bad happened to Jihyo, Sunye noona will fly to Korea and deal with that guy personally.

JR: Jihyo is Wonder Girls noona’s baby.

BB: Lately Jihyo is feeling down.

JR: No one could put a finger to it that’s why we are going to go all out and take care of our baby.

KAI: I’m jealous. Your company artist takes care of her so well.

JR: That is why we …

BB: We will match make her with a nice guy.

Jinyoung looked at Suho who turns pale. He already could see that the rumours are true.

XM: Someone in the company?

JR: Not too sure…. Jihyo has many suitors but she has never looked at anyone.

BB: I wonder if she is already dating.

JR: If she is not, we’ll have to sieve through the list of suitors. (Jinyoung jokes causing Suho to worry.)

BB: Mianhe hyung… we got to go. (Bambam grabbed Jinyoung’s arm as he dragged him away.)

Meanwhile, in EXO’s changing room, all the other members could see that their hyung was in so much pain. However they know that he has only himself to blame. He could have said ‘no’ but he chose otherwise.

Suho and Xiumin was on the way to head to the open air area on top of the arena when they saw Jihyo & Mina talking to BTS Rapmon and J-Hope. Somehow, the sight of J-Hope pinching Jihyo’s cheeks didn’t sit too well with Suho. He approached the two groups. The four of them quickly greeted their sunbae.

SHO: You guys should know that idol has an image to uphold. Touching each other’s cheeks will invite rumours. (He reprimands them sternly.)

JHO: Arraso, I will make sure from now onwards we will make sure to stay away from other people’s eyes when we meet Namjoon and Hoseok oppa. (Jihyo stated calmly before excusing herself.)

Jihyo immediately turn to Namjoon and Hoseok.

JHO: Mianhe oppa, I will call you later. We got to go.

Just those few words were enough to make Suho’s blood boil. When everyone left, Xiumin had to knock some sense into him.

XM: Just what the hell were you trying to do?

SHO: They were flirting. I had to stop that.

XM: What is so wrong with that? They are all single you know.

SHO: Shut up! We have not broken up yet.

XM: No… you are being irrational now. Let her go. She deserves all the happiness in the world.

SHO: I am not ready to do that… I love her.

XM: If you did, you wouldn’t hurt her. (Xiumin responded softly before leaving alone to gather his thoughts.)

Suho inhaled the cool air and took out his phone. He opened the last chat window… sadly the last few words exchanged between them wasn’t good. He stared at the screen before typing…

I miss you. I miss you so much.

Too bad for him, the message bounced back. Apparently, Jihyo change her phone number. Suho was at his wits.

 

[BREAKING NEWS!]

Hyeri caught with another guy. The couple were both snapped making out at one of Bahamas exclusive beach. Seems like what EXO-L have been praying for is finally answered.

 

Bye Bye My Blue

Suho was relieved that after months of hell, his charade with Hyeri is finally over. Honestly, he don’t know where to start with Jihyo. He was too afraid to even wonder if Jihyo will take him back. Besides they have not been in contact for quite some time.

He decided to go for a drive to the hill where he and Jihyo used to meet. He was surprised that another car was parked nearby. He wanted to stop but decided not to. He just pass by until he suddenly stops when he saw Jihyo’s face from his mirror. He couldn’t make up who was sitting beside her. Suho was heartbroken. Seems like Jihyo already moved on. He drove around in circles before finally stopping at the convenience store. He once again saw the car. He was wondering if he should just drive away. Then the door of the Mercedes opened and Jihyo exit the car as she waves at the driver who left once Jihyo entered the store.

Suho braved himself. He entered the store and saw Jihyo standing in front of the fridge while chatting on the phone. Like dejavu, she was asking her members what drinks they wanted. Once she put the drinks in her basket, Suho stepped up in front and help lift it.

SHO: Let me help you.

JHO: Ahjussi….. No…. oh….anyeonghwaseyo Sunbaenim. (Jihyo greeted him nervously.)

SHO: Don’t have to be so formal with me.

Jihyo just nodded and tried to take back the basket from him.

SHO: Its heavy, let me just help you with it.

Suho carried it to the counter and wanted to pay for the drinks however Jihyo quickly gave the cashier the money and paid it before he could. Jihyo also took the plastic bags before proceeding to the exit the store. Suho ran after her. He calls out her name in a pleading voice that she could not ignore.

SHO: Jihyo ahh…

Jihyo turn and smile at him

SHO: Can we talk for a short while?

JHO: I don’t think it is a good idea.

SHO: Please…

JHO: I can only spare 15 mins. I have to be home soon before manager unnie comes back.

SHO: Sure… I’ll drop you home too. (He assures her as he took the plastic bags she was carrying.)

They drove to a nearby carpark. They could hear each other breathing because the silence was deafening.

SHO: I want to apologize for hurting you. (He finally said it.)

Jihyo looks out the window trying to calm her heart.

SHO: I realized a little too late about how selfish I was.

JHO: I already forgave you. I really did. You don’t have to worry about that.

SHO: Is there no room…..

JHO: I think you should drop me home now. (She interrupted him.)

Suho reached out for her hand. He held it close to his heart but was disappointed when Jihyo pulls her hand away.

SHO: I really miss you… (He said softly earning only a nod from her.)

He leaned in and gave a soft and gentle kiss on the side of her face. Jihyo immediately teared up. Suho wiped it all away with his thumb. He then retreats back to his driver’s seat.

SHO: I saw you with someone in a Merc at the hill just now. Although I wish you not to move on, I also want you to be happy. Are you?

Jihyo was wondering if he was jealous. She knows he sure did not see who she was with. She wanted to smile at the thought.

JHO: You saw me?

SHO: Uhuh…no I am not stalking you. I just wanted to go up there to reminisce about us. I just happened to saw you in a car.

JHO: I was with Yubin unnie and Sunmi unnie. They wanted to cheer me up. We actually had burgers in the car. (She explained to him earning a smile on his face.)

SHO: Gurei?

Jihyo just nodded.

SHO: You are not seeing anyone?

JHO: Not yet… (She answered honestly.)

SHO: What do you mean by not yet?

JHO: Jinyoung and Jaebum oppa said they would introduce someone nice to me.

SHO: What did you say?

JHO: I agreed.

SHO: Can you not agree to it?

JHO: Sunbae, Nayeon unnie is calling me, can you please drop me home now. I don’t want to get into trouble.

Suho wouldn’t want her to be in any sort of trouble. He dropped her off. However he regrets not taking her number.

 

DMC Music Festival

TWICE was very busy with the rehearsals and all. Their waiting tent was like 8 tents away. Suho wanted to meet Jihyo but he really doesn’t know how to. He managed to convince Sehun to follow him around. They walked around and eventually saw TWICE tent, they purposely slowly walked pass the tent and could hear TWICE laughing with 2PM. Suho stared too long because Chansung waved and gestured the two of them to enter the tent.

TWICE: Anyeong EXO sunbaenim.

SH & SHO: Anyeong … Anyeong 2PM sunbaenim.

SHO: It has been so long since I saw you hyung.

NICK: Neh…we’ve been busy in Japan.

JUN.K: These girls are JYP Nation babies…. Please take care of them if you meet them at music stations. (He playfully asked for a favour from them.)

Jihyo has avoided any eye contact with Suho. It saddens Suho a little. But something caught his eyes. Jihyo was wearing the necklace that he gave her. He wondered if she still loves him. Mina who saw Suho staring at the necklace quickly excused herself and Jihyo to the toilet.

MN: Ji… Suho sunbaenim was staring at the necklace he gave you.

JHO: He did?

MN: Uhuh…

JHO: Mianhe……. I still want the necklace. It’s too pretty to throw away.

MN: Is it too pretty or too sentimental?

JHO: Honestly a bit of both.

Mina and Jihyo was just wondering somewhere behind the stage. It was a cold night. The wind has been super strong. And they are in their crop top, thin jacket and shorts. Mina was holding on to Jihyo’s arm and whines about the cold weather.

MN: Jihyo … hug me. It’s cold.

JHO: Andwe … You are not who I want to hug.

MN: You are mean….

Mina’s laughter was interrupted when a jacket suddenly envelopes Mina. She turned to see silly Sehun staring at him. He is too handsome and she just cannot stop blushing looking at him. Sehun zipped up his jacket although Mina did not slip her hand on the sleeves. She really looks like a penguin now. She blinks a couple of time.

MN: What are you doing? There are people here.

SH: You said you were cold, I was just trying to keep you warm. (He answered like a little boy as he cups his warm hands on Mina’s cheeks.)

Jihyo just stood there and smile at Mina and Sehun. Without realizing, the two boys dragged the girls to a secluded area behind the tents.

Jihyo tried pulling her hands away but Suho don’t want to let it go.

SHO: Can’t I hold it for a little longer? I need strength.

Jihyo couldn’t help but pity the guy. She no longer resists and just let him hold her hand.

JHO: Why? Why do you need to hold my hand for strength? You are always a strong guy who can make decisions yourself. (She said firmly causing Suho to feel guilty.)

SHO: I miss you… I miss you a lot…

Just a distance away, Sehun was just holding on to Mina.

MN: Sehun sshi…. Sehun sunbaenim… (He didn’t response instead he tightens the grip of her hand.) Sehun oppa…. Oppa….. (She calls out to him affectionately.)

SH: You almost forgot to call me oppa…

MN: Aigoo…can you stop being a baby. (She teases him.)

SH: I’m only a baby when I’m with you. (He replied as he pulls one of her hands and kissed it.)

MN: What is Suho sunbaenim trying to do? (She attempts to change the topic.)

SH: Let them settle their issues…. There were so many unspoken words between them.

MN: But….

SH: No buts…. Anyway your comeback is soon, when do you want to go for a date with me?

MN: Why would I? I think only crazy people date you.

SH: And you are one of them… (He fires back playfully at her.)

MN: I have no time, you know that. (Her voice turns affectionately soft.)

Sehun lifted her chin.

SH: You know you look so cute when you are shy or pouting. You make me want to kiss you.

MN: Boyah….. (She pushes him softly.)

Meanwhile, Suho tucked strands of hairs behind Jihyo’s ears. The girl refused to look at him in the eyes. He reaches out her phone and immediately gave his own number a miss call.

SHO: Your group performances are going to be up soon … I’ll call you.

JHO: Please don’t… (She pleaded.)

Suho pulls her into his embrace.

SHO: I need you… more than ever.

He gave her a kiss on her forehead before ushering her towards Mina and signalling them to go ahead because their performance will be up soon. Jihyo looked at him searching for an understanding why is he behaving that way. She doesn’t understand nor did she not want to understand.

The question is, how certain can she be that he wouldn’t hurt her ever again?
