Narrator POV

“Sis, wake up. Yah, wake up this instant.” Gentle slaps was given to each Yujin’s cheeks in order to wake her up. Yujin stirred in her sleep and turned her body to the side, completely ignoring the person. The person couldn’t help but pinched the bridge of their nose before inching closer to her.

“Aishh, this girl. Yah, wake up. We have to go.” The person hissed before pinching her waist in frustration.

At that contact, Yujin yelped in pain and immediately sat up straight while rubbing her waist. She looks up and saw her brother was at the side of her bed, glaring down at her. She pouted at him making her brother rolled his eyes both in annoyance and frustrated.

“You sleep like a log. I’ve been trying to wake you up for half an hour already.” He whisper-yell.

“What? Why? What do you want? It’s still dark.” Yujin whined quietly. She is aware that if she whines loudly, the others will wake up – because of the wolf hearing and she will be in trouble. Yujin is an omega in the pack, the lowest rank in the pack and the most hated by the other pack’s members. Although the pack hates her, she still accomplishes her works amazingly and tries to be the responsible omega.

The Alpha of her pack never say or do something bad to her, however, he didn’t stop nor help her when the other pack members bullied and insulting her. The bullied wasn’t a tough one though. The toughest one was the insult. When they insulted her, their acerbity of words will pierce right into her heart. She once cried secretly because of their words but afterwards acted like nothing happened. Outside, she may be looks like an affable lady but inside, she actually curse and mentally hit them for bullying and insulting her. She was grateful though. If they didn’t touch or insult her brother, she could take all of it without complaining or go berserk at them.

“We need to get out of here. The Alpha and the others are sleeping right now so we should use this as an opportunity for us to run.” Without bothering to let her reply, Hajin walk over to her small closet and took out all her clothes before stuffing it in a bag. Since Yujin didn’t have much clothes, it didn’t took much time to pack all her stuff.

Done packing her things, Hajin turn around just to see her younger sister was zoning out. He sighs in exasperation and walk towards her. With hands on each hips, he glare down at her until Yujin raise her head.

Startling, Yujin put her hand over her racing heart. “I almost got a heart attack with those flaring eyes of you.” She muttered.

“Could you please get your of from the bed now and wash up? We’re running out of time. Do you want the Alpha and the snooty yet stupid pack members awake?” Hajin scold.

“Fine, fine. I’m going now.” Yujin pout as she jumped out from the bed and went to her own bathroom- the elders of the pack members actually did it for her secretly since they didn’t like the way she got treated by the young pack members- and wash up. Five minutes later, she exit the bathroom while wiping her face.

Hajin who was now standing by the window with both her bag and his in his hands, ushered her to follow him before jumping out of the window. Yujin nod quickly and followed his action. She landed on the ground with a soft thud. Standing up properly, she dusted her hands and look up at her brother.

“Where’s your mate by the way? She doesn’t want to go with us?” Yujin ask quietly as possible.

Hajin gives her a smile before nudging his head towards a direction. Confused, Yujin tilted her head to the side and saw Hajin’s mate, Serin was standing a few metres away from them while waving her hands on the air like a mad woman with a bag on her right side. Yujin chuckle and shook her head.

“Your mate is childish.” Yujin commented.

Grinning, “I know. More reasons to love her.” Hajin replies.

“Well, what are we waiting for? C’mon, let’s go before they wake up and we’re busted.” Yujin exclaim before trudge her way towards the forest.

Hajin rolled his eyes and follow her. Serin, who just noticed it quickly picking her bag up and rushed towards them.“That’s not nice.” Serin exclaim making the siblings chortled in respond.

A few minutes later, the siblings and Serin halt to stop at the end of their later on ex-pack territory. Yujin and Hajin looks at each other before nodding then step out of their now ex-pack territory. Serin grins and followed their action.

“We’re now officially rouges.” Yujin said.

Hajin and his mate stare at her for a moment before whooping happily. It’s been years their yearned of freedom from the abusive pack members. And now, when they are finally free, they couldn’t be happier.

“Now, where do we go?” Serin snuck a glance at the dark forest.

Two hours later, the siblings and Serin was wandering in other territory. They felt scared for sure because they are rouges. Rouges are never welcome in any territories unless the Alpha of the territories finds that you’re useful for them.

Walking by foot aimlessly making the three werewolves exhausted. Serin who was quite far from the siblings was on the verge of complaining and whining already. But, it doesn’t go unnoticed by her mate though. Hajin and Serin could feel each other feelings. Mate’s bond is stronger than what they expected at first.

“Let’s rest for a while. Serin was mentally complaining about how tired and sleepy she is.” Hajin announce. Hearing those words, Serin couldn’t help but ran towards her mate and engulf him in a tight hug.

“Thank you!” She smiles widely before heading towards a tree and sat down while leaning her body against it. Hajin laugh quietly at her action while Yujin begin to sniffing around them.

“What are you doing?” Hajin looks at her weirdly.

“Can you smell that?” Yujin ask, still sniffing.

Hajin being the curious guy also begin to sniff the air just to sniff nothing except the smell of the woods. “What smell? I can only smell the woods.”

“It’s smells something ... wonderful. The scent is so alluring.”

Hajin kept mute and watch his sister sniffing the air like a crazy person. He furrowed his eyebrows while examining her movements. Her body was reacted differently and Hajin could see her eyes change from brown to blue. At that moment, Hajin know what was going on.

Yujin’s mate was near.

Hajin don’t know how to react or to say. He suddenly has this feeling that Yujin will leave him for her mate. It’s not like he doesn’t happy for her younger sister but in his whole life, he’s her official guardian. He’s arduously taking care of her. In his whole life; he’s been risking everything and even his own life to protect her from any danger. Once, Yujin almost got kidnapped by other packs but thankfully, he witnessed the scene and instantly got to act. Before their parents die, Hajin had been told that Yujin is abnormal. At first, he was shocked but promise to their parents that he will protect her.

“I think I’m going crazy.” Yujin murmured. She looks around until her eyes landed on her brother who has been staring at her. Furrowing her eyebrows, she marches towards him, snapping Hajin out of his thought.

“W-what?”

“What’s wrong Oppa?” Yujin asks in concern.

By now, Serin was already at Hajin’s side. She could feel what he feels and could read his mind. It’s one of the perks of having a mate. Giving him a side hug, she rubs his back comfortingly. Hajin shut his eyes close as he let out an audible sigh.

“Seriously, what’s going on?” Yujin once again question him. Her eyes darted from her brother to her sister-in-law.

“Yujin-ah..” Hajin start.

Yujin leaned forward, “Hm?”

“Let’s say that you found your mate. Are you going to leave me?” Hopeful expression planted on his face. He silently pray that her sister would say no.

Before Yujin can answer his question, a growl from the other side echoed around them. Being the only guy he is, Hajin step forward and bring the ladies behind him. His ears perked up at the sound of growling on their right side. Without a warning, a brown wolf jumped out from the dark and attacks him. In defense, Hajin quickly shift to his huge black wolf.

‘Protect my sister!’ Hajin mind link his mate.

Serin obeys his words and quickly grabs her hand before dragging her away from them. Yujin protest and struggling to pried her hand but Serin’s grip tighten around her wrist making it’s impossible for Yujin to pried her hand away.

“Unnie, let me go! My brother needs me right now. I couldn’t let him fight alone.” Yejin try to convince Serin by her words but Serin was not someone who will disobey her mate’s words.

“I’m sorry but your brother told me to protect you. I’m worried about him too but I trust him that he will protect himself. He’s one of the warriors in our ex-pack. He could defend himself.”

In other side, two wolves was growling and glaring each other. The brown wolf barred his teeth at Hajin, telling him to stop and surrender but Hajin didn’t want to back down. He growl angrily at the brown wolf in respond making the brown wolf growl back. Just as the brown wolf about to jump on him, a loud growl echoed all over the forest, letting them know that it was an Alpha who was giving a warning.

Hajin didn’t feel intimidated by the warning because he got a blood Alpha on him. Since an Alpha was the highest rank in a pack, they didn’t feel threaten nor intimidated by each other.

In the mean time, the brown wolf was freeze on spot. His head lower down in submission to his Alpha.A second later, a huge –larger than Hajin -black wolf appeared. Hajin watch his movement in case the wolf would do something.

In other hand, Serin and Yujin also halt to stop at the sound of loud growl. In a flash, Yujin used all her strength to pried her hand away from Serin’s grip before stalking off to where her brother at. Didn’t have any choice, Serin followed her.

 

Yujin POV

Arrived at the place, I quickly went to my brother side. Soon after, Serin Unnie came and went to his other side. Hajin Oppa was now in the middle while two wolves standing proudly yet intimidating in front of us.

I narrowed my eyes at the two wolves angrily before scoffing when I noticed the brown wolf giving a mock look. Although he still in his wolf form, I could tell that he was mocking at the three of us. Taking a deep breath, I instantly smell a wonderful scent that made me froze. Curious about the smell, I followed the scent until the large black wolf standing a few inches from me.

Since his wolf taller than me by one or two foot, I have to look up. I gasped when his wolf eyes piercing right into mine.

Oh boy.

An Alpha? Really now?

 

Narrator POV

Yujin and the black wolf staring into each other eyes until Serin coughed behind themto break it off. Yujin quickly walk back towards her brother. Seeing that, the black wolf growled in annoyance. Using his alpha tone, he mind-linked the brown wolf to shift back to his human form.

The brown wolf bow before going behind a tree and shifted to his human form with fully clothes. The Alpha nudges his snout towards Yujin direction and stared right into his eyes like he was hypnotizing him but in fact, he actually mind linking him to ask why the rogues were in his territory.

“My Alpha wants to know why the three of you are in this territory.” The guy broke off the quietness.

“I apologize for intruding. We didn’t mean to stay here longer. We just want to take a rest before continuing our journey. Please forgive and let us go.” Yujin told him with a hint of demanding in her tone.

The guy averted his eyes from Yujin to his Alpha. They were mind linking once again while Yujin and the couple beside her just kept mute since they have neither right nor power to say something.

A moment later, the guy turns around to face them once again. “The guy and the girl can leave but you—“He point at Yujin, “must stay.” He finished.

Hajin took a step closer to the guy while barring his teeth. If they want his sister, he couldn’t just sit and watch them took her sister. He vowed to their parents that he will protect her no matter what, so he shall protect her from letting them taking her away from him.

“Watch it. Don’t act stupid and just go with your girl. But, the other girl must stay here.” The guy glared at Hajin’s wolf form.

“No. I don’t want to. If he has to go, then I will come with him.” Yujin hissed at the guy.

The guy inched closer to her before bending down a little to her eye level, “You don’t want to mess with my Alpha, brat. If he wants you to come with us, you shall do it or I will kill the guy and the girl over there.” He threatens.

Yujin gritted her teeth in anger. Her flaring eyes stared directly at his eyes making the guy flinched slightly. He doesn’t know why but he feels like his body was in fire. He feels hot suddenly. Looking down, he saw flames surround him making him gasped both in shock and pain. His body burnt as his loud scream filled in the forest.

Hajin, Serin and the black wolf looks shocked as they witnessed the scene before them. After processing what was happening, the black wolf quickly got into an action. Using his still wolf teeth, he pulled the guy away from her by the shirt.

Yujin’s eyes flick to the side. She gasped loudly with her eyes widened in fear. She doesn’t know how she did that and she was shocked as well. She whip her head towards her brother and look at him with so much fear. She wasn’t a girl who has the heart to make people suffered but now, she just did it. She still could hear the guy screaming but it eventually slowly dies down.

“I’m sorry.” Yujin chanted quietly. She put her arms around her as she shook her head frantically.

Hajin become worry and panicked at the sight of his sister. Quickly as possible, he shift back into his human form with fully clothes and run towards Yujin. Carefully picking her up, he sat down on the ground and out her on his laps. Serin quietly makes her way towards them and brushed Yujin’s hair to the back.

The black wolf growl angrily at the skin ship between the siblings. He contemplates to shift back into his human form but after seeing Hajin placing kisses on her forehead, he didn’t hesitate to. “Get away from her!” He screams soon after he shifted. Without giving Hajin times to process what he said, he snatched Yujin from his hand harshly.

“Hey! Be careful! That’s my sister you’re holding!” Hajin yell anxiously.

“S-sister?”

Hajin examine his feature carefully before averting his eyes down to her sister which is now unconscious. He gulped when he saw the star sign visible on her wrist. Stealing a glance towards the guy, he pray that he will not aware nor notice the sign. If he did, there’s a possibility that his sister is in danger. Hajin know that Yujin and the guy are mates but what if the guy wants her because of her power?

“I want to bring her home.” The Alpha spoke up.

Hajin become alert and quickly protest, “NO!”

The Alpha raises his brow at him, challenging him to stop him further. Hajin, of course didn’t feel intimidated. Even their wolves are practically didn’t have much different.

“If you want her to come with you, my mate and I shall come too.”

The Alpha chortles in amusement. “What if I say no? You do know that you’re in my territory right? Just with an order, you and your little mate could get kill. You’re just---“He got interrupted when he feels Yujin move in his arms. He looks down and saw Yujin stirred before she fully opened her eyes.

Despite the tension, she managed to blush when she noticed that she was in her mate’s arms. “Let me go.” She mumbles.

Thanks to his werewolf hearing, the Alpha could catch what she mumbling about. “Why would i?” He raises a brow. Yujin scowl and folded her arms over her chest. Her mate couldn’t help but averting his eyes to her chest before staring at her eyes back.

“Why ? You ask me why? First, you treat me not-so-kindly. Second, that idiot over there attack my brother, sister-in-law and ME yet you let him. Third—“

“Okay, that’s enough. I don’t want to spend my time with all you nagging.” He snap.

Yujin gasp and pointed at his face, “See? You didn’t treat me right. I’m your mate for God’s sakes!” Yujin frowned angrily. She rolled her eyes when she heard the idiot -she claim earlier snigger. Almost immediately, her eyes darted towards him and dozens of knives was thrown at him.. Mentally.

“You little – mmfh.” The Alpha covered . Yujin looks up and saw the stoic face of her mate. For a moment, she felt scared. What if this mate of hers will reject her? What if he treats her badly? What if he already claimed another girl as his mate? What if he has a child? Children maybe? What if her mate actually someone who wouldn’t take thing seriously? There’s too many what if that was starting to fill her head.

“Whatever in your pretty little mind now, don’t even you dare thinking about it again. I can sense mixture feelings from you. I know that I may seem like a bad guy but if you accept me willingly, accept me whoever I was, if you love my personalities, I will be freely letting you know my real sides. Just don’t get into my bad sides. It won’t be good for you.” The Alpha quickly add the last sentences.

“I don’t know how to react, to think or even to act around you. You’re right about what you said. You seem a bad guy to me. Your expressionless face telling me that you wouldn’t take things seriously. I just don’t want to be with someone who will just treat me bad. I’ve got enough of it from my previous pack.” Yujin played with her fingers.

“What do you mean by ‘I’ve got enough of it from my previous pack’? Did you mean that they treated you badly?” The Alpha knit his eyebrows.

“I—uhh—They—“

“Let’s go home first. You can tell me after you rest.” The Alpha said in his monotone voice as he start to trudge his way towards his own house. Outside, he may look calm but inside, he felt like he wants to kill anyone in front of him.

How dare they treated my mate like that?, He thought angrily.

“What about my brother? And my sister-in-law? Are you going to leave them there? Just like that?” Yujin panicked.

“They will be by my beta. I already mind linked him You don’t need to worry about them. Worry about yourself.” He replies.

“Oh.”

There was a long silence before Yujn decided to break it much to his displeasure. He liked the peaceful moment before Yujin spoke up.

“What’s your name by the way?”

The Alpha sighs in exasperation nonetheless giving her his answer. “Mark Tuan.”

Yujin nods in acknowledgement. Smiling to herself, she mouthed his name several times. Of course it won’t unnoticed by her mate. All the time, Mark was once while glancing down at her.

“What’s yours?” Mark asks back. His mouth curve upwards slightly when Yujin suddenly startled.

“I’m Yujin.” Yujin shyly said.

“Hm.” Was all he respond.

Presently, Yujin and Mark were in the house. Mark bring her to his room so they-especially Yujin could get plenty of rest. On their way, the pack’s members watch them in amusement and confusion.

Amuse because the expressionless Alpha actually bring a girl to his own house. Rather than the pack house, their Alpha chose to bring her to his house. They never saw their Alpha interacts or with a girl before. Well, except for business matter.

Confusion, they are wondering whether they are mates or not. Or maybe the girl is just a fling?

“Alpha.”

Mark halt to stop and turned around. “What?”

“The girl and the guy arrived at the pack house safely.” He informs. Mark nodded his head in acknowledgement and start to walk again. Although his back facing his beta, the beta still showing his respect towards his Alpha by bowing his head and walk away.

“Why didn’t you say thanks?” Yujin chastise.

“What for? I’m the leader not him. I can do anything I want even if I don’t need to say thanks.” Mark simply reply. Yujin frown while her gaze hardened.

Noticing her gaze, Mark looks down at her, meeting her flaring eyes. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, “Why did you give me that expression?”

“You should start thanking people. Although their rank is the lowest, you still need to thank them. You don’t know the feelings of not being thanked. For the whole my life, never once I heard the words thanks from my pack. I did everything for them yet they never once say thanks.” Yujin softly exclaim.

Mark softened, “I’m sorry. I wish I met you earlier than now so I could protect you from hurting. By the way, are you an Alpha or ..?

Yujin tilted her head to the side, “Alpha? I’m not an Alpha. I was the omega from my previous pack.”

“O-omega?”

“You’re going to reject me, isn’t it?”

“No, no. I just confused.” Mark quickly denied.

When they arrived at Mark’s room, he open the door with the help of Yujin and walk towards his bed. He put Yujin gently on the bed before stretching his arms.

“Am I that heavy?” Yujin frown.

Mark freeze on his spot instantly.“You’re not. I just want to stretch my arms. Not because you’re heavy. You’re light as a feather, don’t worry about being fat.” He assured with a small smile. Yujin shyly smiles back with cheeks reddened by seconds. She just couldn’t help it because his smile melts her heart just in a second.

“Well, rest first. I have some business to do. I will return at noon.” Mark informs her. Yujin nodded in acknowledgement and watch Mark exits the room.

Soon after, Yujin exhaled loudly and make herself comfortable on the bed. Her mind suddenly wanders to her mate.

‘Yujin-ah!’

Startled, she looks around. But then, she realized that her brother was mind linked her. Chuckling inwardly, she respond him.

‘Where are you?’ His worried voice filled in her head.

‘I’m in my mate room. What about you? Are you okay? You’re not injured right?’ Yujin bombarded him with questions making her brother chuckled in amusement.

‘I’m okay. Serin’s okay. We get the best treat in here actually and all thanks to your mate. How are you?’

‘Great. I will thank him later and I’m feeling a little unwell but it’s going to be alright. Don’t worry about me, Oppa. I can take care of myself.’ Yujin assured him.

‘That’s what I’m afraid of. You actually don’t know how to take care of yourself. How would you handle yourself without someone nursing you? Especially when I was not the one who’s going to nurse you.’

‘That’s mean. I can take care of myself Oppa. You didn’t need to worry about me. I’m a grown up girl now, and since I could think rationally, I don’t want to burden you anymore.’ Yujin softly voice out.

‘No. You’re not a burden for me. Listen to me carefully; you will be never a burden for me. I’m your guardian and your brother. We’re blood-related. I will never think about you as a burden for me. You hear me?’ Hajin sternly stated.

Yujin couldn’t help but touched by his words. ‘Of course I know that Oppa. I just don’t want you to neglect your mate just because of me. What if Serin Unnie and I were in danger and you need to save one of us? I don’t want you to –‘

‘Stop it. I don’t want to hear crappy stuff from you. Let’s meet tomorrow and I will knock some things in your head. I have to go now. See you.’

Hajin blocked Yujin making it’s difficult for her to explain more. Letting out a heavy sigh, she sat up properly on the bed and looks around. Is she examining the room carefully, the room actually kind of dark and mysterious judging from the black paint on the walls. Everything was either black or red actually.

Yujin kind of expected this from her mate. Just by his looks, everyone knows that he has this quiet, mysterious yet intimidating aura in him. And that’s what exactly made people around him feel either scared not intimidated by him. Plus, he’s an Alpha. Of course everyone would be scared.

As her mind once again wanders to her mate, she didn’t notice that an omega was standing outside the door while knocking on the door repeatedly. Just after minutes pass with the omega constantly knocking, Yujin snapped out from her thought.

Quickly as lightning, she jumped off from the bed and open the door. “I’m sorry.” She apologizes soon after she saw the omega which was look shocked.

“O-oh. It’s okay Luna.” The omega replied politely.

Yujin’s ears perked up at the last word. Luna is the mate of the Alpha. And now, that’s what her rank is.She clears and shift awkwardly on her spot. “Uhh- can I help you?”

“Oh! I apologize for wasting your time Luna. The Alpha demanded for me to give you a breakfast on the bed. Would you mind if I serve you on the bed now?” The omega once again asks politely.

“He told you to do that? Umm—okay, just put the foods on the table and I will serve myself. “

The omega bowed before step inside and one by one setting up the plates on the table. After she done, she went to stand in the corner. Seeing that, Yujin furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Slowly setting her on the couch, she watch the omega. “What are you doing standing there?”

“I’m sorry if I makes you uncomfortable Luna. The Alpha also demanded for me to wait for you until you done with your breakfast. He doesn’t want you to go downstairs until you get plenty of rest. Means that, you could go downstairs and do anything you want at noon.” The omega explains.

Yujin just could sigh. Shaking her head, she raises the spoon and taste the soup at her left side. “This is good.” She praised making the omega reddened. Yujin smiles slightly. She understands why she would be reddened just because a small compliment. It’s because an omega would never get compliment or praise by other people.

Only their family or their own blood related would do so. If you’re an omega and expecting a compliment or praise from your other pack members, you will never get or heard one from them. There’s a possibilities that even if you saved their life, they wouldn’t say thanks. It’s a different story if they like you. They will treat you equally like everyone but for an omega, it’s a rarely case.

“Since when did you work as an omega here?” Yujin tries to start a conversation.

The omega looks at her and gives her a small smile. “At 14. My parents left me for another pack but the previous Alpha took me in. Since then, I got the lowest rank in order to pay his kind heart. I never complaint about it though. Please don’t tell the Alpha.” She quickly bowed.

“I won’t tell him. Besides, there’s no wrong in your words.”

“Thank you.” Was all she responds before becoming mute again. Yujin sighs nonetheless continue to eat her breakfast.

About fifteen minutes later, Yujin done with her breakfast. Noticing it, the omega quickly rushed towards her and cleans it off. Yujin watched her every movements until the omega done. Bowing quickly, the Omega exit the room.

Yujin POV

It’s been about five hours yet Mark still didn’t come home. I wonder where he went and what he did. What does he mean by ‘some businesses? Getting bored, I jumped off from the bed and open the door carefully. Just in case, I look around. To my surprise, it’s actually quiet. Too quiet.

Being the curious I am, I exit the room and went downstairs. Like what I expected, there’s no one here except for me. The omega must be already gone back to the next house. Pouting, I trudge my ways to the couch in the living room and sat down on the extremely soft couch. I could even bounce on it. Just for a remote, I have to stand up and walk over to the table which was located quite far from the couch. Because of not having any experience on how to turn the TV on, I just examine the remote.

“What are you doing?”

I yelped in surprise and quickly turned around just to see my mate’s amusing expression written on his face. Letting out a loud sigh, I harrumphed at him. Seriously, couldn’t he give me a warning? Or at least announced from the door the moment he step inside? There’s no need to scare me like that.

“I’m sorry.” His voice was just behind me. Like extremely close to my head.

“Don’t do that again. You don’t know what could happen. I nearly have a heart attack.” I chastise.

“You’re exaggerating. Werewolf won’t die because of a small shock like that.” He muttered as he walks around the couch and took a sit next to me.

“Well, I can!”

“Don’t snap at me! Don’t forget that I’m the owner of this house and you’re in my territory. I could get you killed by seconds.” Mark growl angrily.

At those words, my body stiffened. I freeze on my sit while just staring at him. I couldn’t believe that I heard those words come out from my own mate. He shouldn’t say that but he did. Not wanting the air getting more intense, I get up from the couch and head upstairs.

“Yujin-ah.”

I halt to stop yet didn’t turn around nor answering him. A second later, someone snuck their arms around my waist and buried their face in my hair. Of course it none other than my mate. Who else could be?

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that. I just have a bad day today and I took out it all on you. Forgive me for my stupid mouth.” He apologizes.

“I never took my anger or frustration out on someone who’s innocent. I know that an Alpha duties are difficult and may give you stress but please remember that you need to control your anger when you’re around people who didn’t do anything wrong. As an Alpha, you should be leading and treating you pack nicely. You should be an example for them not a leader who have this expressionless face anywhere.”

“I’m sorry.”

Sighing, I nod. “It’s okay. I can understand you. Just don’t do it anymore, okay?”

Mark nodded and started placing kisses on my neck. Extricate from his hug, I placed my palm over my neck.

“It tickles.” I rolled my eyes.

He grinned in respond. “By the way, I told the pack doctor to come here today. He will come any minute now, so you better get ready for his check up.” He suddenly informs.

“Doctor? Check up? For what?” I asks, confused.

“You told me that you had been treating badly by your previous pack. I just want to make sure that you’re in a good condition. I don’t want you to get hurt, so I told the doctor to come.”

Smiling, “Thank you.”

“It’s not a big deal. I just want the best for my beautiful mate.”

I flushed under his gaze. Shifting on my spot awkwardly, i look away. A minute later, the bell rings indicating that the doctor has arrived.

“He’s here.” He went to get the door while I went to the couch and sat down there nervously. Soon after, I heard footsteps behind me.

“Good afternoon Luna.” The doctor greet as he bowed slightly. In his hands, there are medical equipments and even a stethoscope around his neck. I wonder whether he was a human or a werewolf because a werewolf doctor was gifted an incredible hearing. They didn’t need the stethoscope but this one needs it.

“He’s human. But, don’t worry though, he’s a loyal doctor and won’t tell human about our creatures. Doctor Zhang has been a pack doctor for about fifteen years now. He started as a pack doctor since he was 14. My great grandfather told him to treat wounds and such. ” Mark explained.

I nodded in acknowledgement and give him a shy smile. Although I have a mate, this doctor was incredibly good looking. With his red hair, his feminine yet masculine feature was enough for me to admiring him. I didn’t notice that I was staring at him until Mark pinched my waist quiet hard. Yelping, I grunt in pain.

“Hey, there’s no need to pinch me.”

“Then stop staring at other guy when your mate was just next to you.” He snapped.

I pouted, “I’m sorry. It’s not my fault that he’s that good looking.” I admit.

“Yah! Aish this brat—“

“I’m sorry.”

Someone chuckled making me snapped my head towards the person’s direction. It was Doctor Zhang.

“You two are adorable.” He commented.

“Adorable my .” Mark mumbles, only enough for me to hear him.

“Stop it Mr.Alpha. Don’t be jealous when she complimented me. It’s rare for me to get a compliment from a Luna.” Doctor Zhang chortled at Mark’s dark expression. “Okay, I will stop. Anyway, could you lay down Luna? I have to check on you before this Alpha shifted.”

“Okay.” I lie down on the couch as Doctor Zhang went to my side.

“Can I have the permission to lift her shirt a little, Mr.Alpha.”

“Go on.”

A little he meant was up until my chest. My bra was visible yet the doctor remained focus on his job but my mate over there was trying to restrain himself from attacking the doctor.

“You said a little.” Mark growled.

“Oh, sorry about that. That was my original plan but seeing her scars, I changed my mind.”

Oh right. My scars. Great, now my mate will know about it.

“Scars?” Concern yet confused tone evident in Marks’ voice. With small steps, he strides towards me.

“I shall not call it scars. It seems more like tattoos actually. This is a rare case but interesting.” Doctor Zhang said as Mark listening to him keenly.

“What do you mean by that?”

“I once treat a werewolf who has the same tattoos. About six years ago? It’s near this territory and he was bleeding too much.” He begins his story telling. By now, I was also leaning forward and listen to his story keenly. “He’s about in his mid 40s. After I treat him, his wound magically turn to scar then turn to tattoos in front of my eyes. I ask him why and he told me everything from where he has an abnormal power which could heal his wounds fast and until his most trustable friends betrayed him and took his pack from him cruelly. His wife and children also got tortured by the so-called-friends.”

Wait a minute. This story sounds so familiar.

“I treat him just for an hour until he announced that he wants to get his wife and children back. Since he already in a good condition, I let him go and until then, I never heard any news from him.” He continued.

“What’s his name?”

“Joo Seungho. I still remember his name until now.”

J-joo Seungho?

My tears start prickling in my eyes as I remembered how my father’s friends tortured and killed my parents in front of my own eyes. I remembered how they treat and stole the pack from my father’s. I remembered how they ripped my mother’s heart. I remembered how they slowly, painfully killed my father that time.

“Hey, hey, hey. Why are you crying?” Someone put me on their laps. I raise my head to look at him. “Why are you crying?” He asks.

“That was my father. Joo Seungho was my father.” I choked in my sobs.

“Was?”

Nodding, “They killed my parents in front of me. They forced my parents to drink poison liquid. They want my parents die quickly so they made them drink the poison and killed them at the same time. They ripped my mother’s heart and killed my father slowly and painfully by cutting every part of his body.” By now, my hands shake as I recalled back the horrible memories.

“Is that why you and your brother along with his mate run away?” Mark asks.

“H-how do you know that we run away?”

“You have your bags with you. It’s an obvious situation.”

“To be exact, that’s not the real reason but I guess, it’s a part of it.” I murmured.

“Did your previous Alpha know about it, Luna? Your power?” Doctor Zhang butted in.

I nodded solemnly.

“Then, my advice for you Mr.Alpha, you should protect her.”

“Means?”

“Luna has an abnormal power. My guess was, she inherited her father’s powers. An elemental powers. May I ask you a question Luna?” Doctor Zhang turned to me.

I nod as I wiped my tears with the back of my hand.

“Did you know how to use or control your powers?”

“No. But, how did you know that I have more than one elemental powers?”

“If that so, you should train how to use and control your power. And to answer your question, you must be inherited your father’s powers. In this case, it’s rare and from what I know, your father was from an elemental generation. That including you. You have a brother right? For that, Mr. Alpha, you should run a test whether he has an elemental power as well or not.”

“Then, if that was it, they could be in danger. Her previous Alpha must’ve want their power to rule our creatures.”

“That’s right.”

Weeks passes, by now I already adjusted myself with the environment in this pack. Mark also did not letting me out of his sight. Precisely, he doesn’t let me go anywhere without him by my side. I just have my own freedom when I’m at home. Outside, someone must accompany me if Mark is busy with his Alpha duty.

At noon, Mark went home with his eyebrows kneaded together. Presently, I was in the kitchen preparing lunch for him.

“What’s wrong?”

Mark heaves a sigh and rubs his tired face. “Your previous pack was searching for the three of you.”

“What?!”

“The Beta asks one of the pack members who’s patrolling the boundary two days ago. The idiot spilled everything and now, they are targeting our territory. Yesterday, they send a warning. If I didn’t let them take the three of you peacefully, there will be a war.”

Our territory?

“What should we do?”

“I’m trying to find a solution. By the way, tomorrow I will personally train you. I want you to be able to use your powers without any difficulties. I will always protecting you but I want you to know how to fight for yourself so the pack member will respect you more. Besides, you and our children will be in danger in the future and I was not there, I want you to protect them and yourself.”

I know that it’s not a best time to blush but I did. Noticing my flush face, he chuckled.

“Why? You thought that I don’t want to have kids with you?”

“N-no. T-that’s not it. I j-just—“

“It’s fine. I know that you’re not ready for it, so I won’t force you… yet” He added the last word with a smirk on his face. If possible, I felt my face burned more.

 

Narrator POV

“We need to take her! We shouldn’t let the best thing slipped out from our hands!” The Alpha from Yujin’s old pack growled. Everyone in the house who heard their Alpha growling and shouting like a maniac person froze in fear.

“We need to form a plan if we want to take her. She’s at the Blood Moon Pack territory. Every Packs know that they rank the first in strength. Even if we gathered all the warriors and strongest members, we couldn’t defeat them. They’re incredibly strong.” The beta said worriedly. He know that his Alpha desperately want the once Omega back but he’s worried of himself and the other members.

The Blood Moon Pack not just ranks first in strength but also has many alliances. Just a call from the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack, all his alliances will gather just in a day. Beside, the Blood Moon Pack was known well with their agile moves. If you hit them once, they will give you double hits just in a second. Among the Blood Moon Pack members, the Alpha is the strongest one. Just a swift punch on your face, it could knock you out.

“The girl is important for us! For our pack! Her wolf is the strongest among all the wolf and we couldn’t let her slipped away just like that. We can rule the world is she’s with us!” The Alpha roar at his beta. The beta shrinks in fear and couldn’t help but kept mute.

“Call our alliances and inform them about this. We will attack them one week from now.” The Alpha announces.

“I understand.” With those words, the beta rushed outside, not wanting to be in the same room as his Alpha.

A week after …

“Alpha! Alpha!” The Beta of the Blood Moon Pack named Jaebum barged into the house in rushed. Hearing the panicked voice, Mark jumped out of the bed in alert and dashed out of the room.

“What?” He shouts.

“The Ash Claws Pack attacking us!” Jaebum told him.

Mark curse under his breath before sprinting down the stairs. Just as he about to exit the house, he halt to stop when an angelic voice announce that she want to go as well.

“No! It’s dangerous and you’re not really trained yet. You just know the basic and I don’t want to risk your life. Don’t worry and wait for me. I’ll be back soon.”

“But, it’s because of me why they attacking us. I should at least show my face there.”

“I said no! Don’t you dare disobey me Joo Yujin.” Mark glared at her before storming outside.

Didn’t have any options, Yujin sighed in exasperation. She wants badly to come with him but she didn’t dare to disobey his words. From the times she spends with him, she witnessed how he punished people when they disobey him. But, it’s his life he’s risking for. Just because wanting to protect her.

How could she just sit down?

After contemplating her decision, she chose to disobey her mate. Despite his warning, she still go to the battle. Her eyes widened when she saw Mark fight with a familiar wolf.

Her previous Alpha.

Looking around, she gasped when she saw many laying bodies. Tears start lining in her eyes as she witnessed the scene before her. She saw the determination in the werewolves’ eyes when they were fighting. Everyone didn’t want to lose.

She took a step forward but someone pushed her back. Startles with the sudden action, she raise her head up just to see a brown orbs glaring down at her.

“What are you doing here? Go back right now!”

“No! Everyone fighting because of me! I don’t want people sacrifice their life for me. That isn’t right. Everything wrong. We should leave in peace not for a war.” Yujin argue.

“I SAID GO BACK TO YOUR HOUSE! RIGHT NOW!”

Yujin flinched at the loudness of his voice. By now, tears streaming down her face.

“No. No Oppa. I couldn’t do that.” Yujin stubbornly exclaim.

Hajin groan. Without a warning, he put his own sister on his shoulder and run with his werewolf speed to the house. The whole way, Yujin keep pounding on his back, demanding to get down but Hajin ignore her. When they arrived, Serin was already standing in front of the door.

“Don’t let her out.”

Serin nodded in acknowledgement as she grip Yujin’s wrist tighter. Yujin keep screaming with tears rolling down her face, wanting to go to her mate. Hajin already went back to the battle while Serin has a hard time controlling Yujin.

“Calm down!”

“How could I Unnie?! Everyone scarifying themselves because of me! My brother –your mate and my mate outside there, in the battle. How would I calm down?!”

Serin was speechless. She knows that Yujin is kind but she didn’t know that she’s this … selfless. Couldn’t help it, she took Yujin in her arms and rubs her back in order to comfort her.

“It’s okay. I’m sure that they will be okay.” Serin coaxed.

For the pass two hours was a torture for Yujin. She couldn’t go out to see whether Mark and her brother is okay or not. She was pacing back and forth until she heard the door open and slammed shut. She whirled around quickly and saw the two men stumbled upon their steps. There’s bruises on each their faces while bloods soaked their shirt.

“Mark! Oppa!”

Yujin sprinted towards them worriedly. Serin who was just come from the kitchen gasped loudly. She also, marched towards her mate while crying.

“Oh my gosh! I’m so glad you’re okay.” Serin hugs Hajin tightly. A soft whimper come out from Hajin’s mouth nonetheless hug his mate back. Yujin was in Mark’s arms, sobbing.

Seeing that, Hajin pulled away from the hug and pulled her sister towards him. “We’re safe. The idiot wouldn’t harm us anymore.”

Yujin couldn’t be happier at the news. With her tiny hands, comparing to her brother, she put on his face. Magically, the wounds start to heal slowly. Yujin’s eyes widened as she pulled her hands away.

“Why? What happen?”

“Hajin-ah, your face.. Yujin—she—how—“ Serin left dumbfound on Hajin’s side as she examine his face.

There were no wounds found on his face anymore. It exactly looks like he never got into a battle or fight.

“Yujin-ah, you –“ Mark gaped at her.

Feeling curious, Yujin slowly took a step closer to her mate and cupped her mate’s face. Just like Hajin, Mark’s wounds, bruises, slowly faded. She gasped once again and looks at her hands.

“How did that happen?” Hajin asks, totally shocked about it.

Looks like someone got another power.
