It was raining. 

The water fled from the sky, screams and screeches of thunder and lightning chasing the droplets that splattered onto the ground. The rain beat and battered at purple wine hair, the wet strands framing the man's face in beautiful, heartbroken disarray. 

Lips as pink as Cupid's aura quivered- eyes as dull as granite were glittering with tears. The viridian green orbs were misted over with the look of someone who had lost the world- a look of a man who had been haunted for years. Haunted by the ghost of heartbreak, the ghost of expired hope. 

It was a terrible day-

oh, it was such a rainy day.

A day in which his lover would caress him from the back, enveloping him in a world and universe of feather light touches and almost too sweet whispers. A day in which the horrible wailing of the sky would be background noise for the man and his lover- a day in which the mighty fire roaring inside their home was colder than the stares they exchanged. Days like this never even registered in his mind- the rain from the skies had never even touched his sun kissed skin-
