Forty-eight
A place in time.“Hanbin-ah, you should really get some rest, it’s already been a few hours…you can’t just make a mess of yourself like this” Hayi said as Hanbin continued to work on his dance, as the music boomed in the studio
“Bin-ah” Hayi called as Hanbin continued dancing not paying heed to what Hayi was telling him
“Yah Kim Hanbin, keumanhaera go” Hayi said calmly as she sighed looking at Hanbin
“At least eat something” she said as Hanbin stopped and looked at her
“Leave me alone” he said as Hayi sighed
“Doing this won’t bring her back” Hayi muttered as Hanbin turned off the music
“What does it matter to you anyway?” he asked coldly as Hayi looked at him
“I’m just telling you to take care of yourself and not waste yourself away” she said before exiting the practice room.
Bobby’s phone rang as he answered Hanbin’s call
“Neh Bin-ah” he answered calmly
“Jogi, your friend is here drunk and I don’t think he’ll be sober any time soon. Could you please come to get him?” a man on the other line said as Bobby hurriedly ran outside
“Neh I’ll be there” he said getting into his car.
Bobby soon halted outside the soju stall as he searched for Hanbin and found him drunk and resting his head on a table
“Hanbin-ah!” Bobby called running towards him
“How could you be so careless and drink so much when you can’t even handle your alcohol?” Bobby sighed as he shook Hanbin
“Do you need help?” the owner asked as Bobby bowed politely smiling a bit
“It’s okay, I’ll manage” he said as he helped Hanbin to walk
“Damn you Kim Hanbin” Bobby muttered as he helped Hanbin to the car
“Thank you for calling me” Bobby bowed politely to the stall owner before leaving.
“Hyung” Hanbin called as Bobby drove the car towards home
“Um?” he answered calmly
“…I miss her” he muttered as Bobby sighed
“I miss her so bad” Hanbin said in a shaky voice
“I don’t know why she left me. I kept searching for her, I tried…but I cannot find her” he said in his drunk voice
“She’ll be back soon Bin-ah, don’t worry. She can’t just leave us like that” Bobby said sadly
“Hyung, I’m such a mess” Hanbin said in a shaky voice
“I’m ruined” he said as Bobby sighed and sped the car
“Next time, don’t drink” Bobby muttered.
Hanbin lay on his bed, not caring about what was happening in the outside world. He just wanted to be alone, to himself.
Cha Hyunbi, I still remember the first time we met, and the first time we started talking. Do you?
Why did you leave me so suddenly?
Everything that we had…was it that simple to forget with just a simple goodbye?
Why didn’t you allow me to say my goodbye too then?
Why am I such a mess? Why am I so ruined?
When I look at the sky, is it okay if I think you are looking at it too? After all, we are both under the same sky.
Cha Hyunbi…I miss you.
