Yoo Hyeri
POSITION: CEO
AGE: 32
PERSONALITY: intelligent, friendly, ambitious, perfectionist, stubborn
The owner and founder of Yunrae Entertainment, Hyeri embarked on her journey into the business world at a young age. Filled with ambition and unique ideas, Hyeri has slowly but surely built a reputation for herself. She knows each and every one of the head staff members
personally and is known to have a level head.
Known to stroll around the trainee levels of the company building, Hyeri
serves as a kind of "older sister" figure to everyone. She's easy to talk
to and very energetic, but she knows what she's doing despite her age
and outside appearance and will not hesitate to enforce her power when she has to.
“
Jeon Jinhyuk
POSITION: producer, vocal coach
AGE: 34
PERSONALITY: eccentric, clever, open-minded, skittish, quiet
The slightly shyer one of the Jeon brothers, Jinhyuk is an artist in his own right. Known to work closely with producers in the company such as Mirae and Ina, he has a variety of connections despite his quiter demeanor and met Hyeri through various coincidental events.
He's quite awkward around the newer trainees, often relying on his brother or others to help him communicate, but he means well. He tries to help everyone as much as he can but he can only be in so many places at once. He's always welcoming towards people who wish to learn more about music however, and finds special pride in those that know how to produce. He's always looking for talent like that in trainees and won't hesitate to tell Hyeri about it - even pushing for a self-composed title track by said trainees/members.
“
Han Sanghee
POSITION: Cosmos' manager
AGE: 29
PERSONALITY: motherly, responsible, caring, impatient, independant
The manager to Yunrae's first ever idol group, Sanghee feels a bit of pressure, but she takes it well. Having initially went to school as a nurse, she's trained in first aid and helps out around the company when she can with medical situations. She met Hyeri back in high school when their schools went to the same camping site for an MT and have been friends ever since.
A mother figure to the girls of Cosmos, Sanghee is kind of seen as the "grandmother" to all other managers and trainees/idols in Yunrae. She's known to be the subject of many jokes, yet no one really dares piss her off. She, like Hyeri, knows when to use her power and how, and won't let things get to out of hand.
“
Kim Jisoo
POSITION: Suite's and Diamond's manager
AGE: 27
PERSONALITY: straight forward, determined, lazy, talkative, childish
Originally a trainee manager, Jisoo was the one of the first three managers to graduate from the YRT2016 manager training program (or that's what he calls it). He had originally been one of Hyeri's underclassmen back in university and she offered him a job not too long after he graduated.
Playfully referred to as the least competent Suite manager, Jisoo usually ends up fooling around with the members more often than not. He's regularly scolded by Kyungsoo and comforted by Seohyun about his seemingly lack of authority but, seeing as Diamond houses most of the maknae-line of Suite, Kyungsoo manages to reign them in with his childish personality. Somehow.
“
Ahn Seohyun
POSITION: Suite's and Clubs' manager
AGE: 25
PERSONALITY: cute, feminine, curious, naïve, tardy
The only female manager for Suite, Seohyun is actually Hyeri's cousin. As such, the boys don't dare to disobey her. She was pretty aimless in life, often fluttering from one passion to another, and was considered a failure to her family until Hyeri offered her a job. Now Seohyun's dream is to make sure her boys succeed and prove everyone else wrong.
Technically, Seohyun has no manager like qualities. She is easily taken advantage of by the Suite members, but most of them feel bad immediately afterwards. Shy and feminine, Seohyun is very much every boy's ideal type so the boys of Clubs' especially feel a kind of protectiveness over her.
“
Bu Kyungsoo
POSITION: Suite's and Spades' manager
AGE: 27
PERSONALITY: brotherly, smart, strong, sarcastic, insensitive
Probably the least liked manager of Suite, Kyungsoo directly applied for a position in Yunrae after graduating from university. As Hyeri was holding interviews personally, they immediately hit it off and Kyungsoo was accepted. He considers himself the oldest of the Suite managers despite being the same age as Jisoo and definitely acts like the leader between the trio.
While he's disliked by most female trainees for his "mean" manners, Kyungsoo perfectly keeps the two members of Spades in line. He's very much a "bro" as quoted by Seungcheol, and it's probably for the best that Spades has the least amount of members - less people for Kyungsoo to accidentally offend.
“
Lee Alicia
POSITION: psychologist
AGE: 26
PERSONALITY: strong, boyish, disciplined, strict, stiff
Alicia and Hyeri met after a business trip in Sweden. Alicia, having been born and raised in the European country, immediately jumped on the chance to work in a foreign country. Having previously studied psychology, Alicia helps Kurami along with making sure the trainees are in top mental condition.
Despite her stoic exterior, Alicia is a good role model. She makes sure everyone is doing what they should be, when they should be, and doesn't take no for an answer. She's harsh, but in a tough love kind of way.
“
Song Minho
POSITION: marketing intern
AGE: 24
PERSONALITY: empathetic, dramatic, flirty, selfish, posessive
Minho was originally a salesman, who, after falling into bad habits - mainly gambling, found himself in a bit of a pinch. It was at this time he chanced upon Yunrae, and after talking to Hyeri, was offered a more stable job. He's now using his previous experience to pay off his debts by working in Yunrae.
Minho has really no idea what he's doing. He's not one to take work seriously and doesn't quite fit in with the "entertainment company" label, but he takes it in stride. Ever thankful to Hyeri, he works hard and is quite well known among the trainees - especially the females.
“
Yoon Jisol
POSITION: intern
AGE: 24
PERSONALITY: carefree, relaxed, cunning, ambitious, bratty
The younger twin to Jihyun, Jisol became an intern at Yunrae after her twin started working there. She's mainly the coffee girl, running around doing errands for other people, but often takes over the role of Hyeri's secretary when she's feeling helpful.
“
Yoon Jihyun
POSITION: trainee manager
AGE: 26
PERSONALITY: mature, flexible, clever, whiny, impish
The older Yoon twin, Jihyun was recruited into the manager world by Seohyun. The two had been friends for quite some while and when Hyeri realizes started looking for another trainee manger, Seohyun referred her to Jihyun. While Jihyun is not the most experienced manager, she, like her sister, is very clever. She's good on her toes and can work around any kind of problem - allowing her to quickly adapt despite the short amount of time she had to prepare to become a manager.
“
Jung Henry
POSITION: dance coach, choreographer
AGE: 30
PERSONALITY: dedicated, observant, confident, strict, brash
Henry was the second employee of Yunrae Entertainment. Hyeri had scouted him personally, having walked past his dance studio many times on her way home, and Henry, getting a good feeling about the deal, accepted. Handing his studio off to his cousin, Henry became Hyeri's first full-time worker. Now, Hyeri often entrusts Henry to deal with large projects (YRT2016 for eample) and he's almost as experienced as she is.
As one of the only staff members that deals with all the trainees, Henry is quite well known between the idols and trainees. He's usually either hated (by the non-dancers) or loved (by the talented) but either way, he's there to help. He's usually the first one to catch onto warning signs, being the staff member most directly invovled with the trainees, and has - on multiple occassions - stopped a practice session in order to refer a young teenager to Kurami's office.
“
Jeon Minseok
POSITION: lyricist, rap coach
AGE: 28
PERSONALITY: eloquent, witty, sassy, funny, clumsy
The more outgoing, younger Jeon brother, Minseok is basically everything Jinhyuk isn't. Able to actually speak without stuttering, Minseok impressed Hyeri with his eloquent speech and mannerisms (despite his actual personality being quite different). He's more lenient than his brother, but still presses his students hard. He believes in self-progress, and often gives people ambigious advice that doesn't really help in the end.
Probably the least known staff member, Minseok only works with the rap-focused trainees, and, as such, doesn't have that close of a relationship with most of the idols or trainees. However, those that he does interact with can easily put in a good word. Minseok is sassy and witty - basically a brilliant conversationalist, and many a trainee has gotten over writer's block simply by talking to him.
“
Chen Xiuxin
POSITION: visual director
AGE: 24
PERSONALITY: shy, creative, imaginative, hard-working, passive
Xiuxin, having debuted in China as an idol herself back when she was 16, moved to Korea after her group, 幸运女 (or Lucky Lady in English) disbanded after 4 years. The group was decent at best, having an okay fan following but never really made it big. Her past still attracted Hyeri however, and Xiuxin was picked up soon after moving to Seoul.
However, Xiuxin refused to work as an idol, having finished with that part of her life. Instead - seeing as Yunrae already had a vocal coach - she became the visual director. In charge of coming up with concepts and teaching the trainees and idols how to act in public, Xiuxin draws upon her past idol life and empathizes a lot with the idol groups of Yunrae - hoping for their success and happiness.
“
Shin Kurami
POSITION: receptionist, psychologist
AGE: 26
PERSONALITY: cheerful, kind, understanding, shallow, rude
Kurami is one of the backbones of Yunrae, despite being fairly unappreciated. Hyeri, after listening to Xiuxin's stories of depression and anxiety after being an idol, immedaitely went off to personally search for someone that could help her trainees. Kurami passed her test, and serves as a psychologist and psychiatrist for the trainees (as well as the receptionist when no one is in her office).
Kurami is one of those staff members that you either never have the misfortune of meeting, or you see so much that you end up tolerating her. She's quite the interesting person, being understanding yet shallow at the same time, and likes to psychoanalyze those around her even when she doesn't have to. It's a bit creepy to be honest, but Kurami means well.
