jimin choked on his coke, breaking into a violent coughing fit as he dropped the can. bubbling liquid spilled across the kitchen tiles but jimin ignored it, still too caught up in his shock as he gasped for air. min ing yoongi was who he was talking to. and talking about. jimin was talking about min yoongi to min yoongi.

when jimin finally calmed down enough and found a pillow to cling onto in humiliation, he settled onto the couch and took another peek at his screen.

when jimin finally opens the door, tae’s lying curled up into a ball on the doormat, phone almost dangling from one limp hand. everything seems to happen in slow motion as tae’s head whirls around, revealing a red face full of tears and a lower lip pulled up into a pout, and he unravels so quickly from the floor like his body’s made of rubber. sleeved arms wrap themselves around jimin’s waist as tae blubbers into his neck.

”CHIMCHIM I’M SO SORRY I DON’T WANNA END THIS BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW FRIENDSHIP BECAUSE YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE NICE ENOUGH TO BUY ME PIZZA EVERY WEEK AND WATCH STUPID ROM COMS WITH ME-” jimin puts one hand over tae’s mouth and guides his friend inside with the other, nudging the door closed behind them with a foot.

”it’s okay tae. c’mon let’s get some sleep.” jimin leads a sniffling tae through the kitchen, daintily stepping over the coke can. tae squints at the mess of dark liquid.

”what happened to that?”

”dropped it.”

”when you figured out who was texting you?” tae’s tears were gone, face dry without a hint of every crying except for a few faint tear tracks, devilish smile back in place.

”aaand we’re back.” jimin sighed, already beginning to regret letting tae in.

”night night, chims.” tae crawls under the covers of jimin’s bed, snuggling in comfortably and rolling around until all the sheets were wrapped in a tight bundle around him. jimin rolls his eyes at the sight, too tired to fight for warmth, and curls up beside him.

a/n: i feel like i won't ever not end a chapter with tae doing something. especially annoying jimin because that's what he lives for (other than being kookie's other half).
