Byun Baekhyun is a wallflower who likes to observe anyone and everyone. Park Chanyeol is a tall musician who likes to observe Byun Baekhyun.

Baekhyun stood outside the school in front of the parking lot for a minute, looking up at the sky. There was a single cloud floating, threatening to block out the sun. He closed his eyes and took a long breath. Another week was over, and he felt better than he had felt all week. He was serene and carefree, like all of his worries from earlier had evaporated.

“Hey! Hey, you!”

Baekhyun opened his eyes in annoyance. He huffed and turned around to see what idiot had compromised his precious tranquility.  A boy was sprinting towards him, backpack bouncing behind him,  a boy who was unusually tall. Baekhyun's face blanched. You've got to be ting me, he thought. It was him. If Baekhyun had even an ounce of hope that Tall Boy hadn’t actually seen him, it was gone now. Tall Boy’s eyes were not exactly smiling, but they were staring at Baekhyun with a weird intensity.

He slowed to a stop in front of Baekhyun, panting. His cheeks were red from running and he was breathing hard. That didn’t however, take away from how soft his mused curly brown hair seemed.

“Uhmm…?” Baekhyun leaned back, suddenly self-conscious. What the hell…?

“Uh, Hi,” he panted. “I’m Park Chanyeol, nice to meet you.” He held his hand out expectantly. 

Baekhyun stared at Park Chanyeol’s hand.

Park Chanyeol. That was his name.

Suddenly, it became real.
