Since the first day, Chanyeol always knew it was Baekhyun. Deep down he knew that if it isn't Baehyun, it wouldn't be anyone. He has never been so in love in his entire life. He loves deeply Byun Baekhyun. All his being longs for Baekhyun's love. He loves Baekhyun so much that every morning of every day he writes a letter he will never send. He loves Baekhyun so immensely that every time the clock marks 12 PM he takes out his laptop and writes an e-mail that always ends in his draft box. He loves Baekhyun so much that every night he calls Baekhyun's phone just to hear his voice, and he feels like a dagger stabs his heart when the voice of another man answers the phone. He loves Baekhyun madly, so every Saturday he buys a white rose and paints the petals with different shades of reds, sending it to Baekhyun's house when the clock marks 3 PM. The last time he saw Baekhyun, he was with him. Due to that, he didn't approach him even when Baekhyun smiled at him brightly, with that smile of his that can bright the whole Universe. He just smiled back, ignoring Baekhyun's hand gestures calling for him; and he walked away. Every time Chanyeol talks to Baekhyun, he is scared that the latter may hear his heart beat. Whenever he cross paths with him in the street, Chanyeol feels like maybe they are meant to be. When he have the luck to touch Baekhyun's hand, everything inside him melts. He is so in love that he is shining. It's like he swallowed a star. Every atom in his body loves that guy deeply, and the fact that Baekhyun belongs to someone else kills him daily. 

One night, he was about to go to bed, rubbing his eyes as he saw fragments of Baekhyun' face on his eyelids. His phone rang and confused he looked at the clock; 2 AM in the morning. Just, who calls him at that hour? He took his phone and he stared at the name on the screen: Baekhyun. He was so caught off guard that he didn't answer in time. The phone has stopped ringing. He panicked, and he tried to call Baekhyun back but there was no answer on the other line. Chanyeol's eyes watered, he was so frustrated and sad. He wasn't there when Baekhyun needed to talk to him. Why would Baekhyun call at that hour? Was he okay? Was he in trouble? Just, what was it? And most important, why would Baekhyun call him? There were so many questions and so little answers. A tear streamed down his face and he doesn't understand why he is crying. Maybe some feeling isn't meant to be understood. He lied back on his bed, his head buried in the pillow as more tears were drawing patrons on his cheeks. Out of the blue, his phone rang again. He grabbed right away and when he saw Baekhyun's name again on the screen, he answered. 

"Hello, Baek?" 

There was silence on the other line. It was that kind of silence that kills you from inside out. That kind silence that is deafening. He gulps, calling Baekhyun's name again in a shaky breathe.

"Chanyeol." 

His heart stopped when he listened to the tone of Baekhyun's voice. The way he said his name, he sounds broken and on the verge of crying. This is the first time in forever that he hear Baekhyun's voice like that. It killed him without the necessity of any weapon. 

"A-are you okay?" 

But he knows that Baekhyun isn't.

"N-no," Baekhyun said in a breathy breathe. "C-can you c-come?"

Just like that, Chanyeol knew that something horrible has happened to Baekhyun. He said he would be there in less of ten minutes, and he hang up when he heard Baekhyun's soft voice pronouncing an okay muffled with a sob. His heart is in pain, and he doesn't know if he is going to be able to endure Baekhyun's persona in that state. If Baekhyun is in pain, the chances of him being in pain as well are higher than the Empire State. He grabbed his keys and left his apartment, not wasting any minute in changing his clothes. He was wearing a Sponge Bob pyjama, and he wouldn't care less. Baekhyun needs him now. That's all he cares about. Turning on the car, he started driving towards Baekhyun's house. The streets were empty at that hour, a sepulchral silence embracing the town. He didn't stop at the red lights, he just kept driving, not stopping at any sign as he parked in front of Baekhyun's house. He jumped off the car and rushed up to the porch, knocking on Baekhyun's front door. The lights were off, if Chanyeol were passing by he would think Baekhyun is already in dreamland. A few seconds later, the door opened slowly. There, in front of Park Chanyeol's eyes was standing a small figure. His eyes were red and his cheeks wet. Chanyeol swore at that moment that his chest hasn't hurt that way before. He felt that the air has left his lungs when Baekhyun moved aside, covering his mouth as his shoulders started shaking as thousand of tears were streaming down his beautiful face. Chanyeol own expression was broken and without words, he did all he could do at that time, he embraced Baekhyun in a bear hug. He felt all his body shaking along with Baekhyun's shaking one, he closed his eyes and closed the door with his feet, not letting go of Baekhyun's crying form. He cooed softly against Baekhyun's ear. He muttered the most comforting words he has ever pronounced and with his heart in his throat he hugged Baekhyun even more. Chanyeol can't tell how many minutes they were like that. He holding onto Baekhyun as the latter was a mess of sobs and tears. His heart was breaking, everything inside of him already was... but seeing the person
