Yes
Yes I have, but he asked me to tell him how it is before he joins.

The rain hit the windows nonstop in a drumming pattering sound while the darkness made the bedroom gloomy. The only illuminating lights that show are the lightning flashes and the end of his cigarette lighting a red glow on his fave when he took in a drag. Hoseok's gaze fixated on the ground while staring down at his phone to await for his friend to call him. Rubbing the lighter that he gave him on his twenty third birthday.

"Babe? Come to bed. It's getting late."

A female voice resonated into his ears, but he just sat there staring at his phone. Wondering when he will call him, his thoughts ruined by feeling hands on his bare and scarred skin from his shoulders to his chest. Not really in the mood for his fifth girlfriend's bull about coming to bed and that he will call later. Hoseok just ignored her, especially when he did get a phone call finally. Quickly answering, but what he got was not a happy "hello" but more of the lines of:

"I'm sorry to inform you that your friend has been a severe car accident and died."

Now, here he sits ten weeks later after breaking up with his seventh girlfriend, in his bedroom while staring at a disc he stole from his friend's family. The name of it sounded so foreign to Hoseok.

Genshō.

A Japanese title in red marker on a blank CD case with a regular disc inside of it. Blinking at it as he got up from the bed to get it. Sighing heavily as he shrugged his shoulders a bit whilst tilting his head to the left side.

"Maybe later I can play it."

Hoseok thought after signing online to do his job for web designing for his clients. Humming lightly as he let the hours pass until midnight when he finished up the design. Sending it in and then stretches, moving his gaze to the CD case. Grabbing it and opening it up to get the disc out. Blinking at how blank it is on top. Shrugging his shoulders, Hoseok popped it in after ejecting the door open.

"Click to play or click exit to leave."

Without any thought, he clicked on the play text that glowed a red. He became angry within second when nothing popped up. Huffing as he thought "what a crock of ." Thus leaving the "game" inside of the computer. Not really caring about it anymore as he got up to get something to eat, shower and sleep.

"You're so ing bad! Are you actually dumb? Do you have the IQ of a pretzle? My dead grandmother could do better than you- and she's ing dead, dude." Jun's voice hisses across the headset, and across his moderately sized house.

He was grouchy, part of it was contributed to by his growling stomach. For the past day, probably more, Jun found himself playing console games. He was fiercely competitive, hence his imaturity with his losing comrades at the moment.

" it, I need a goddamn break." He slings his headset off, tossing the controller along with it. It's hard to fathom how he, an adult, allows games to rile him up so much. He was twenty-three, navigating his way through college and life- with the financial support of his well endowed parents.

He left his livingroom, traveling to the kitchen.

"Noon already?" His eyes, however, left the closck to rise to meet the window. He could see his entire front yard, and the charcoal colored cadilac pulling up in-front of his mailbox.

"What the ?" Jun grunts, smacking the window viciously as someone he definitely didn't know shoved something into his mailbox. His first thought brought him to the cyanide attacks he read about while browsing the internet one day.

He wasn't that important, though. Jun dashed to his front door, slipping on his shoes with ease. He dashed outside, slinging his door open before he ran to the street.

"Damn, I was too slow." He still expected to atleast see the car in the distance- perhaps he lingered on putting on his shoes. Jun turns his attention to the mailbox, opening it to find an evelope with some circular disc inside. The letter itself portrayed more information, in extremely sloppy handwriting.

'Combatibility with Computers.'

"Huh? A game?" He blinks, retreating slowly back to his house, and then his room. His laptop was already set-up, but was sprinkled with dust. He wasn't a PC player- not normally. He swivels up to his desk, signing into his laptop.

"Clout, four, three, and there." He grabbed the letter, tearing the manilla paper with ease.

His fingers scaled across the inflammed title, "Genshō?" It was pretty bland, the disc being black with weirdly colored letters. He then, curiously, inserted the disc.

PLAY? LEAVE.

"Lame." He snorts, scrolling and clicking leave. The application closed, only to reopen with a single option.

PLAY.

"Creepy.." Jun mumbles, excitement beginning to coil in his stomach. A horror genre game, maybe? His tongue peeked from between his lips, his wandering fingers clicking play. Curiosity was an overwhelming emotion.

ENJOY.

His computer, now saying 'unable to read' spit the disc out. "Gay." Jun closed his computer, chunking the disc to the corner of his room. He sighed, losing the satisfaction he previously had.

This is simply a tale, a tale of how curiosity did its best to kill the cat.

The tell-tale sign that the mail had been delivered echoed just outside of Mark’s window with a heavy thud as the mailbox was shut and the vehicle started down the way, it’s loud motor and squeaky tires the only reason he knew that it was indeed the mailman. It was the same hum and squeak he had heard everyday for the past five years of his life in his new home, which for the area he lived in, was a pretty horrible thing to hear everyday. It wasn’t a really upscale neighborhood, but it was a gated community and the neighbors took well to caring and maintaining their manicured lawns to please the Housing Association. Mark though, could care less, but for the sake of not getting evicted from his home, he did what he had to do to make everyone happy and for his home to look like a picture out of the Better Homes & Garden magazine.

With a grunt, he pushed off his bed, legs swinging to the side as he got up and made his way out of his room and down the hall to the staircase. Descending, he took note that his roommates still weren’t home and this was the fourth day that week that he hadn’t seen them. It was becoming a little worrisome, but it wasn’t completely unlike them. Both had girlfriends that they tended to stay the nights with. Both worked and one even had college classes to attend, so it wasn’t too far fetched to say they were just caught up in life and just forgot to come home. As long as they still paid their half of the rent, Mark really didn’t care. He certainly wasn’t able to afford the nice house they lived in on his own. As an aspiring YouTube content creator, it was really a slow going process to get subscribers and views to build up an income that would sustain him for any long periods of time. Which is why he still had his part time job at the local club, DJing on the weekends. It paid pretty good money, but not nearly enough for the lavish life he always imagined he would have.

Moving to the front door, he slipped on a pair of shoes as he unlocked it and stepped out. Taking the three small steps down, he headed down the driveway, towards the mailbox. His eyes scanned the empty road, examining each house nearby and noting that everything seemed so picturesque that it was actually quite sickening. Shaking his head, he moved to stand in front of the mailbox and opened it. He was expecting a few letters and a couple of magazine subscriptions, but what was in there was a strange, large package and upon removal it was addressed to him. It both excited and confused him. The confusion was from the fact that he hadn’t ordered anything new recently, and the excitement stemmed from the fact that he got a package. After all, who didn’t like getting something in the mail that wasn’t trash or bills?

After further examination, it was just the package in the mailbox, which he thought was odd, but it was the middle of the month so it seemed logical that subscription magazines and bills just weren’t being sent yet. Closing the box, he headed back up to the house and inside, kicking the door closed with his foot as he excitedly ripped open the yellow bubble insulated package, tossing the ripped parts to the floor without a care. Reaching in, he pulled out a case. It was the size of a DVD or a video game and it brought even more confusing because there was no title on it. No insert behind the plastic window. It was just black. Dropping the packaging onto the floor, Mark opened the case and inside was a CD with the word GENSHō written on it and below it was the words “PLAY ME”.

With a noise of confusion, Mark made his way back upstairs and to his room and the first thing he did was turn on his DVD player and inserted the CD. When all it did was spin and spin and the notification of “DISC UNREADABLE” popped up on his TV, he realized that this wasn’t a movie to watch. Pulling it out of the DVD player, he took the CD and the case with him to his desk. Sitting down, he booted his computer up as he slapped the case on his desk and something caught his eye. Something white was sticking out of part of the plastic case. Carefully, he grabbed the edge and pulled it out, realizing it was a small piece of paper. One it was a small note written to him and signed by one of his roommates.

‘Hey man, great game. Play it and join the fun.’

Simple, sweet and it made Mark smile, because this roommate knew how much he loved video games and was the self-proclaimed King of all Games. Once his computer on, he put the game in and waited for it to launch. It took forever though, and Mark almost thought it was broken or scratched up too much to be read by the laser disk reader. And just as he was getting ready to eject it from the computer, his screen went black and ‘PLAY’ appeared. With a shrug, he guided his mouse to the button and clicked it. The button went away and the screen turned to a blinding white light and loud static came through his speakers. It was irritating and he felt a headache immediately start to form; pressure building up inside the front of his skull. Yet nothing he did to turn the noise off or even turn the computer off worked. He tried hitting escape, unplugging his speakers and even turning the monitor off. Nothing. It all continued to the point that it became to much for Mark to handle.

He felt warm liquid running down his lip and he reached up, touching around his nose before bringing his hand back, finding blood covering the tips of his fingers. He moved to quickly reach for tissues to stop his nosebleed, but the sudden jerking movement of his body had a wave of dizziness washing over him that seemed to coincide with the static noise getting louder, almost screeching at him. He pushed his chair back and tried to stand to get away, but the dizziness hit him again and he felt his body falling as the world around him went black.
