Wanna Shout It From The Rooftops
Wanna Shout It From The Rooftops
The crowd erupted into loud cheers as soon as Sehun and Kai emerged in the stage, and started moving gracefully to a piano instrumental they both picked when they were asked if they wanted to perform a new production number at their concert.
An emotional piano piece. There were no words, only music. And it's more than enough to make them feel. It's more than enough to make their hearts beat louder as they danced in sync, their bodies occasionally touching and their eyes meeting more often than necessary.
It came to a point where Kai started to think that maybe this was a bad idea.
Choosing a beautiful, emotional piano track to dance to was a bad idea, because it was making him overflow with so much emotions as he danced and stared into Sehun's eyes. His feelings were starting to overwhelm him, it's too strong, and he wasn't supposed to feel that way at a moment like that. He wasn't supposed to feel how much his heart beats for the person he's dancing with when there are thousands of eyes watching their every move. It was becoming difficult to contain himself, when he drinks in the sight of Sehun beautifully moving along to the music with his eyes staring straight into Kai's, mirroring the same emotions Kai was struggling to conceal.
They were right in front of a sea of people clapping and cheering and shouting for them, but they were drowning in their own forbidden desire.
A desire to be free.
They want to be able to show the world who they really are, what they really mean to each other, but having that freedom entails a lot of consequences and risks they can't afford to take.
And as the music slowly came to an end, Sehun and Kai walked towards each other and stood face to face, as a part of the choreography, filling the arena with the deafening noise of the crowd.
But the crowd didn't know that it wasn't a part of the choreography anymore when Kai stepped forward and stood a little too close to Sehun, and when Sehun placed a hand on Kai's cheek, their eyes glassy with the tears they're both trying to stop from falling.
The crowd didn't know that as soon as the lights went off, Kai and Sehun crashed their lips together, their kiss brief but full of yearning.
The crowd didn't know how much Kai and Sehun longs to be with each other freely, not having to hide or pretend or steal moments when the lights go off or when the curtains fall.
Nobody should know.
