I groaned as stopped in the middle of a selfie session.

Guess I'll have to delete some pictures.

"HEY GUYS!WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DELETE BESIDES PICS AND VIDS AND APPS???"

I shouted to the other Bangtan members.

"CONTACTS!"

Jimin shouted back.

Oh,right.

I went to the contact list and started deleting contacts,mostly friends whom I haven't been talking to for a million years.

I stopped and froze when I saw a certain contact.My eyes widened,as I thought for a moment.I made up my mind,and opened up our past chats.

Yoongi:Soon,I'll tell you when my CEO tells me.

Jiae:I don't get why Woolim and Bighit must have a collaboration.I'm sure we practise just fine on our own.

Yoongi:Are you dissing me and Bighit?Wow,didn't know you were any better.

Jiae:You'll see.

Jiae is offline.

Jiae:Yeah,I'm just chilling at home,why?

Yoongi:Could you meet me at the nearby park now?Its really important.

Jiae:Hm,sure.I'm happy to see you anyway.

6pm.

Jiae:Well,that was surprising.Thanks for walking me home though.

Yoongi:Anything for little baby elephant.

Jiae:I'm tired,I want to sleep now.

Yoongi:Alright,goodnight,dream of me!I love ya!

I heard Taehyung's voice,and I shot up from my slumber.We walked towards the waiting room,to get our makeup done,and waited there for our turn to perform.

Everyone was sleeping,while I,couldn't sleep,for some strange reason.

I pulled out my phone,and continued reading our past messages.

Jiae:Congrats with your Debut!

Jiae:I'm so proud and happy for you!

Jiae:Why aren't you replying?

Jiae:Turtle Yoongi?

Jiae:Grandpa?

Jiae:Yoong?

Yoongi:Go away.

Yoongi:Don't ever interfere with my life again.

Yoongi:Just leave,and stop calling and messaging me.I have an idol career now,and I have no time for you.We're over now.

Jiae:But...I love you!Whats wrong with you?This isn't Yoongi.

Yoongi:Well,I hate you.I'm sorry,and goodbye.

Yoongi has blocked Jiae.

Jiae:Wait what.No.

Jiae:Yoongi?Yoongi?No,please,don't go.

I gritted my teeth,still mad at my manager for stealing my phone and saying such harsh things to her.

We lost contact since then,after Bangtan debuted.Lovelyz soon debuted the year after too.I see her avoiding me at events,and I feel,heartbroken.

My heart still aches.

I wonder if she still loves me,or remembers me.

And that's when I had the brilliant idea of texting her again.

Yoongi:Hi

Nah.That seems too casual.Like we're friends 4 eva or something.

Yoongi:Jiae?

Nah it seems to stalker ish like "omg hey I still keep your contact" nah.

Yoongi:Umm...hey...do you remember me?

I guess that will do for now.

Sent.

I waited nervously for her reply,she might not even have the same phone number.

I got a shock when I saw her online,I took in a deep breath,and when I exhaled,there was already a reply.

Jiae:Ahh...Min Yoongi...long time no see.

I gasped as my eyes widened.She remembers me.

Yoongi:You remember me?

Jiae:Of course.

You could actually say I was Fanboying now,with exaggerated hand gestures.

Jiae:The person who broke my heart.

I stopped,and dropped my phone.I caught it in time before it cracked though.My heart sank as I thought back to that moment.I was protesting to my manager,and even attempted to punch him,but Namjoon stopped me.

I typed slowly,trying to hold back my tears.

Yoongi:I'm sorry,I can explain.

Jiae:Then do it now.

Yoongi:Can I call you?

Jiae:Fine.

I clicked the call button as I heard a phone ring from the other waiting room.

Wait,What?

The phone picked up,but there was silence.

None of us spoke.

Finally,I i plucked up my courage and ALMOST said hi.

"Hel-

"LOVELYZ!5 MINUTES!"

"I gotta go."

She hung up,as I pieced together the pieces.

How stupid could I be.Lovelyz is promoting.Bangtan is promoting.I'm here.

She's also here.And she's in the room next to mine.

I opened the door quietly,and peeked out.There she was,walking down to the back of the stage.

Her hair dyed a different colour,but still pretty with those dazzling eyes.Cuter now in fact.

Once I saw everyone was out of sight,I went inside Lovelyz's waiting room and searched around for their phones.

I found one with a cover like a lollipop,all colourful,like Jiae's type.

It didn't have a password,surprisingly,and I went into her chats.

Last texted:Min Yoongi💕💕💕

That's all I needed to know.I put her phone down,and went out.

I'll tell her later.In person.Explain everything.

I clamped my hands together while watching their performance.

Yoo Jiae,what happened to us?

I stole her phone,and she didn't notice.I did it so I could lure her back to her waiting room after everyone has left,letting her think she left it here.

I stood in the room alone,palms nervously sweating as I heard footsteps nearing.

I saw a few strands of her hair peek out from the door,before she came in herself.

Her eyes widened as she closed the door,and she stood there shocked.

I couldn't command my legs to move either.I felt,powerless.Which was what Min Suga never experienced in his life.

But I'm Min Yoongi.And I live my life different from my idol career.

I cleared my throat by coughing,before looking straight into her eyes.

"Can we talk?"

She didn't think before nodding her head,so fast I couldn't see anything.

I chuckled before engulfing her in a hug,and she hugged me back.

"Min Yoongi,I missed you."

I froze.That was the first time I heard her voice in years.Like,in real life.In person.

I slowly relaxed as I smiled.

"I missed you too."

I hugged her even tighter.

It didn't last for long.The delusional thought vanished as I realized I was hugging the air.Her scent disappeared,along with herself.

I sighed as I dropped my head down.Its too late now,she's already gone.We had separate idol careers,and dating was certainly forbidden.All this was just wishful thinking on my part.

Yoo Jiae,I'm sorry.

Tears trickled down my cheeks.

"Yah!What are you crying for!?"

Jiae said as she softly slapped my face for fun to knock me out of my thoughts.

"Ah,nothing.Just wondering what would happen if you weren't here."

We were in the park,eating ice cream and having a stroll,with our faces covered of course.But my tears were still obvious.

"Don't think such thoughts.What matters is that I'm here now,right?"

She winked as she ruffled my hair.

I smiled as I landed a peck on her lips.

"I love you."

"I love you more."

"I love you most."

"Fine,you win."

"No,dispatch wins.Don't turn behind."

"What!?"

"Run."
