Chapter 6
The Little Prince.Jong Woon tried to sit up on his bed, wanting to face his father to question him about what was happening, but he grabbed his wrists and pushed him down again.
"You need to listen carefully at everything I'm going to tell you, Jong Woon." The serious tone on his voice was enough to erase everything he wanted to say and only give a faint nod "The king and queen didn't do anything for none of us."
"What do you mean?"
"Naeun's father died the other day for the same illness your mother died... and they didn't care."
Jong Woon frowned at the mention of her mother and he couldn't really believe someone could be that heartless... Still, he didn't like how things were going.
"We need that they recognise the importance of our help and protection and you'll help, you're going to listen to every order I give to you, do you understand?" He whimpered when he gripped his wrist tighter.
"Yes..."
"Promise me you're going to do everything."
"Y-Yeah, I promise you..." He whimpered, struggling against his grip "You're hurting me!"
“Get changed and meet me outside.” His father simply said, releasing his wrists and walking out if the room.
Confused and a little bit dizzy for the sudden intrusion, he manged to sit up and looked around the room. He was scared of what he had said yes to, his family was planning something against the crown and he agreed to help! But what was he supposed to do? It was his family and he couldn’t turn his back on them. Changing to the clothes he normally used every day, he walked out of his room, finding his father waiting for him with other two men.
“You’re coming with me, Jong Woon, remember what you promised.” His father said, looking sternly at him. One of the men whispered something on his ear, but he just shook his head “Be ready, we can’t waste any time.”
Jong Woon followed him in silence, only looking around the corridors to see where they were going, his heart dropping when he realised where they were.
“W-What are we doing here?” He whispered, looking at Ryeowook’s sleeping form.
“Tie him up, we’re taking him with us.”
“What?! Tie him? I’m not doing that!” He almost yelled, not believing what his father was asking him to do, he couldn’t hurt Ryeowook, he simply couldn’t.
“Don’t yell or they can hear you!” His father hissed taking some steps towards him.
“J-Jong Woon…?” His wide eyes moved to Ryeowook, who woke up and was sitting on his bed “What are you doing here? Wha-“
He looked in horror how his father moved quickly to his bed and clamed a hand over his mouth, twisting his right arm behind his back , before The Little Prince could finish.
“Tie him up. Now.” He said once more, dropping a bag he had on his shoulder at Jong Woon’s feet “Remember this is for your mother and you promised.”
Feeling his legs trembling, he walked to them and picked up the bag, taking out a coil of rope. Swallowing the fear and pain, he took Ryeowook’s other hand and forced it behind his back, tying it with the other, ignoring the best he could to ignore The Little Prince’s attempts to call his name behind his father’s hand.
Ryeowook kept trying to get away, struggling and pulling at the rope around his wrist, shaking his head from side to side to cry out for help, but it was useless. But everything was useless, when the hand left, a cloth was shoved inside his mouth and tied tightly in the back of his head, turning his cries for help into muffle sobs.
“Cooperate with us, your majesty, and it will be easier for you.”
Jong Woon saw how his Little Prince pulled at the rope binding him and glared at his father with teary eyes.
“Let’s go.” Yanking the prince’s by his arm, he walked to the door, motioning to Jong Woon to check if there wasn’t anyone outside.
