He tried his best to lift up his eyelids but they felt heavy. When he finally succeeded, all he could see was the bright light that was above him. He felt something resting on his arm and started wriggling it around. When he turned to his right, he saw that Ji Hyo was there by his side and immediately stopped moving. She had fallen asleep on his arm and his hands felt wet. He looked at her, unable to believe that she was right in front of her. He smiled, realizing that he had failed on his mission to protect her. He must have made too much noise as she lifted her head to face him.

Her eyes were swollen and red. The minute she looked up, her eyes started tearing again.

“Why are you crying again?” he said.

“neh…” she said and wiped her tears away. “Are you okay?” she said.
