Marital WoesThe dinner was silent. Too silent, making Jackson rather uncomfortable.
"Hey Jin, how have you been?" Jackson asked, mkaing Jungah and Saeri look up. "I never heard from you since you and Jungah left university."
Jinyoung's eyes flitted over to Jungah, who returned her attention to her plate of food.
"I went to the States to get my masters done." He smiled. "It was tough but I made it."
Jackson nodded and popped a bite of his steak into his mouth.
"What about you Jungah?"
She glanced at Jackson, then let her gaze flit over to Jinyoung and Saeri.
"I had my MBA done."
Jinyoung felt his heart thump.
All the while, he thought Jungah would remain with her University degree.
Saeri choked on her drink.
MBA?! Jungah got an MBA?!
"That's why I was able to become Edge's Director." Jungah added.
Jackson slung his arm around her shoulders and tapped her nose.
"Aww, you are so capable~" He cooed, making her laugh.
Jinyoung narrowed his eyes a little at their skinship. Saeri noticed him tensing but shrugged it off.
"I... I never knew you would actually go take an MBA. I thought you were joking." Jinyoung gave a dry laugh and reached for his red wine.
Jungah chuckled, amused.
"You don't know a lot of things, Jin."
"Do you remember that time in school, the fire alarm went off because the both of you almost set the lab on fire?" Jackson laughed.
Jinyoung pointed at Jungah.
"It was her fault, she didn't turn off the stove's fire~"
Jungah slapped his hand away and smiled.
"You told me not to, babe."
The endearment slipped out but they were in the heat of the topic that they overlooked it. But Saeri caught it. She cleared , gaining the attention of the other three people at the table.
"So you guys go way back?"
Jungah scoffed.
"No sherlock."
"Well, I was just asking, you turd." Saeri whispered under her breath.
