TODAY IS TOMORROW.
TOMORROW IS YESTERDAY.
YESTERDAY IS TODAY.
TOMORROW IS YESTERDAY.
YESTERDAY IS TODAY.
have you ever had a day where you thought you never wanted it to end becuase it seemed like everything was perfect? where things went the way you wanted; you said the right thing to the right person, you made all the right moves and were at the right place at the right time. would you want to relive that perfect day in all of its glory; to bask in the feelings of how good it felt to have everything fall into place?
if you said yes, think about this:
have you ever had a day where you thought you wanted it to end becuase it seemed like everything wasn't perfect? where things didn't go the way you wanted; you may have said the wrong thing to the right person, made a move or two you regret, and made it to the right place but at the wrong time. would you want to relive that day to fix all the errors so you can have that perfect day you wanted in the first place? or would you rather hope for a better tomorrow to come and just start all over?

day 1 of x
it was just a normal day : the sun was shining but there were clouds everywhere; you slightly remembered that the forecast from the night before said that it was going to be a clear day, but it looked like mother nature had changed its course and planned for a more dreary day. as you rub your eyes and try to wipe away the sleepy look upon your face you could hear someone call out to you— a crescendo of footsteps accompanying the garbled yells that failed to penetrate the wooden door seperating your bedroom from the outside world— before the door swung open to reveal a familiar face. family, ya gotta love them.
hauling you up from the comfort and security that your bed provided, they were merely the messanger to life's daily reminder that you had mulitple obligations to handle, and it wasn't right for you to shoot the messanger so early in the morning. with a silent sense of gratitude you allow them to manhandle you through the bathroom door and lovingly remind you to hurry up and to call your mom sometime because its been (quote) too long since the last time you've talked to her (unquote).
from there, you fall into your daily routine.
wash up, brush your teeth; put one leg in a slot at a time and don't forget to wear deodorant; feel like anime character for a mere minute and grab that piece of toast as you run to your destination, whether it be the one university class you have in your day or the restaurant you work at tiredlessly. you see some of the same people that run in the parallel line you walk: the classmate you kind of have talked to enough to consider to be a friend to your co-worker that you kinda unintentionally became emotionally invested in; other times you may not see those that seemlessly slip into your life without question: like that stranger that typically passes by you late at night, or your best friend that usually checks up on you when you least expect it.
these routines that have become so familiar are often taken for granted.
by the time you realize that such monotony is kind of good for life,
it's usually too late.
you kinda can't help but wish you saw that car coming.
but maybe tomorrow will be better than today.
