Yejin felt hollow for the next few days. The girl hadn’t felt good in years outside of her recently found hobby of studying and caring about her grades. But this was the most empty and blank she felt, well, ever. That Saturday and Sunday were full of pulling a textbook from her bag, opening it to a random page, and sighing as she dropped her head, unable to comprehend the text. Her mind was clogged with details of how idiotic she had been this entire time. Even when Areum peaked in and asked if she wanted to go for some ice cream, the girl declined, knowing she would spend the time staring blankly into space, furthering worrying her sister. Late Sunday night, after a well deserved shower, Yejin cracked open her laptop and pulled up a blank word document. Maybe writing out a stream of consciousness would help settle her thoughts.
She created a bulleted list of things that came to mind. The first few ideas stung her fingertips as she typed, so unwilling to admit it to herself, but defeated on what else to do.
I will never be good enough
I am an absolute IDIOT
