Minho preferred being with women. He didn't mind whenever a woman friend came over his place in the middle of the night - as long as she "offered" him something. He really did enjoy their company. But overall, he was a lonely guy, except for the occasional circle of close friends who stuck with him through high school and then college. He never really dated anyone and most importantly, he never really loved anyone.

I was actually planning to make this an Infinite fic, with Myungsoo taking Minho's role, but I wasn't too familiar with the Infinite member's characteristics as much as I was with Shinee.
