DAEHYUN POV

Today, I decided to go to school with my driver as I don’t think I could drive or riding my bike as usual. Jaehan hyung keeps glancing at me through the mirror. He maybe wondering why I keeps rubbing my injured shoulder.

“Are you okay, master? You looks uncomfortable.” He asked me while focusing on the road.

“Huh? Ah, yes. I’m okay.”

“Really? What’s wrong with your shoulder?”

“Nothing. I think I got a wrong side while sleeping last night.”

“Do you want to go to the hospital? Maybe it was dislocated. It could be dangerous to you”, Jaehan suggest. The car stopped as we arrived at the school. He looks at me with a concern on his face.

“No. It will be okay later. If I want to go, I call you. And, after class I will go home by myself”, I told him before get off the car.

“Be careful”, He said and left the school.

“Daehyun-ah! Good morning!”, Himchan greets me as he approached with Yongguk, Jongup and Junhong.

“Is Youngjae okay now, Junhong-ah?”, I asked, ignoring Himchan. In my mind, Youngjae always the first one I think.

“Yes but he’s having a fever. He was in trauma”, Junhong answered the older.

“Yah! How could you ignore my greeting? Such a rude kid”, Himchan slapped my injured shoulder which makes me groaned unconsciously. I shut my eyes while trying to reduce the pain.

“What’s with your shoulder?”, Yongguk asked immediately.

“Hyung, are you okay? Is that because of last night?”, Junhong couldn’t help but feel guilty that he doesn’t know that the older got injured.

“It’s okay. I’m fine. Really”, I try to reassure them.

“What happened last night, Junhong-ah?”, Himchan was curious to know. Daehyun is not the type who got into a fight with no reason.

“Last night—“

“I told you later, hyung. Let’s go to the class first since it will starts soon”, I quickly cut Junhong’s word. I don’t want him feel guilty or bad because of the incident. Himchan wanted to protest but immediately shuts up his mouth when Yongguk gives a sign for him to stop.

“After school, hyung will sends you to the hospital. No excuse”, Yongguk said sternly. I only nodded as a reply. Then, all of us are making our way to the class together. I was thinking if Youngjae’s fever is high and decided to make a visit after going to the hospital.

After coming back from the hospital, Daehyun asked Yongguk to send him to Youngjae’s house to check on the black hair boy. Along the way, Himchan was scolding him for not be careful and keeps asking if he’s okay or not comfortable. Daehyun could only heard them without saying anything as he already knew that once he told his hyungs, Himchan would be the one who acts like a mother. He doesn’t blame it since they were too caring about him.

“Why are you refusing to wear bandages? It could be worst than before if you just let it be”, Yongguk’s question making Himchan stopped his blabbering.

“I don’t want Youngjae to be worry. He will blame himself if he knew I was injured”, Daehyun answered.

“You seriously falls for him? Aigoo~”, Himchan teased. Daehyun ignored the teasing but he couldn’t help to blush whenever Himchan said anything about Youngjae.

“You better makes a move to him or he will think you as his friend only. Plus, you don’t want to lose to Myungsoo, right?”, Yongguk advised him.

“Do you want me to help you, Daehyun-ah? I also think that Youngjae likes you though. Well, who wouldn’t fall for Daehyun’s charm?”, Himchan suggests while raising his eyebrow twice playfully.

“Here hyung. This is his house”, Daehyun changed the topic when Youngjae’s house comes into his sight. Yongguk and Himchan just smiled meaningful to each other as they knows Daehyun was shy to admit.

They get off of the car and walked to the Yoo’s house. Daehyun was carrying some fruits with his left hand while Himchan was helping him to carry a box of cake. Yongguk rang the bell as they heard some footsteps approaching the door.

“Oh, Daehyun-ah. It’s good you are coming. Youngjae doesn’t want to eat. Maybe he still in shock because of what happened. Please come in”, Mrs Yoo welcomed them. They gives whatever they brought to Mrs Yoo. Yongguk and Himchan are introducing themselves before they makes their way to Youngjae’s bedroom.

Mrs Yoo opened his bedroom, revealing Youngjae who in his blanket and currently sleeping. Daehyun felt overwhelmed with the sight of his fragile state. He was used to see the happy Youngjae who keeps smiling to him. He approached Youngjae’s bed with Yongguk and Himchan who were tailing behind him.

“Youngjae-ah. Daehyun is coming. Wake up, hmm?”, Mrs Yoo shakes her eldest son gently. Youngjae stirred a little before he opened his eyes a bit.

“Jae wants to sleep, mummy.” He whined as he still doesn’t notice the presence of Daehyun, Himchan and Yongguk. Himchan was squealing how cute Youngjae despite of this state.

“Wake up. Daehyun is here.”

“Huh?”, Slowly, Youngjae get up on sitting position and finally realized the trio. Then, he rubbed his eyes tiredly.

“You came?”, He asked weakly.

“Yeah. I’m coming to see you. Why you doesn’t want to eat?”, Daehyun takes a seat beside Youngjae when Mrs Yoo stands up to give him the space.

“Jae don’t want to eat. Jae is not hungry.”

It caught up Daehyun for a while when hearing Youngjae addressed himself to him like that. It seems that the black hair boy’s mind is not in the right state.

“He always said that. Even Aunty asked Junhong to feed him, he doesn’t want.” Mrs Yoo told Daehyun.

“Don’t be like that. You needs energy”, Daehyun tried to persuade him. He took the bowl on the nightstand carefully. With an injured shoulder, it makes him hard to use his right hand.

“Right Youngjae-ah. If you sick, mummy will worry. Junhong too. Everyone will worry. You want to be healthy, right? Don’t you miss school after absence even one day?”, Yongguk caressed Youngjae’s hair lovingly. Himchan was sitting on the other side and agreed with Yongguk. He felt pity on Youngjae.

“I feed you, okay?” Daehyun brings the spoon to Youngjae’s mouth but the latter avoids it.

“Don’t want. Jae had a nightmare. Jae was scared.” Daehyun was panicked when Youngjae bursts into crying. He gives the bowl to Yongguk which happens stands beside him. He pulled Youngjae’s body into his embrace.

“Shhh.. nothing to be scare now. You are safe with me”, Daehyun patted Youngjae’s back and rocking him to sooth his cry.

“What if he coming back? Jae doesn’t want it but he forced me. Jae tried to fight too. He was strong”, Youngjae said between his crying.

“No. He will not coming back. I’m here for you. See? I’m here, right?”, Daehyun tried to make Youngjae to look at him. His heart felt hurt when seeing Youngjae cry. Daehyun wiped the running tears with his thumb.

“No more cry, okay? You don’t want your mummy be worry, right? Now, let’s get your energy. After you eat medicine, you can go to sleep”, Daehyun said gently as he got back the bowl before feeding Youngjae.

Mrs Yoo just smiled watching the scene in front of her. She thinks that Youngjae’s medicine is Daehyun actually. Because her eldest son finally is eating the porridge she cooked after trying to persuade him before Daehyun come.

“Aunty go out first. Uncle will be back from his office after knowing that Youngjae doesn’t want to eat. Junhong is going out to find something could distract him from thinking. Anything you want, just call me, okay?”, Mrs Yoo said. Daehyun nodded. She patted Yongguk’s shoulder with a smile on her face before going out of the bedroom.

After a few minutes, the bowl was empty. Daehyun also was succeed for asking Youngjae to eat his medicine when the latter refused it. He get Youngjae laid back on his bed and put the blanket on him.

“It’s late now. Hyung will going back, Jae-ah. Please take care of yourself”, Yongguk told the younger before he takes his leave.

“Don’t think too much, okay? Daehyunie is always here, Jae-ah”, Himchan ruffles Youngjae’s hair while showing him a gentle smile.

“Thank you for coming, hyung”, Youngjae nodded sleepily. Daehyun pleased with the sight as he cooed Youngjae’s cuteness in his heart. He then stands up, deciding to go home when Yongguk leave the room.

“You are leaving too?”, Youngjae holds his hand to stop him. He blinked his eyes, don’t know how to respond it.

“Can’t you stay with me?”, The younger asked with the puppy eyes, hoping Daehyun to agree. Daehyun smiled watching the younger’s action.

“Okay. I’ll stay until you sleep, hmm?”, Daehyun agreed before he looked at Himchan who still waiting for him.

“Hyung, you go back first? I will call Jaehan hyung to pick me up later.”

“Okay then. Take care”, Himchan bid them a goodnight and closed the door. Daehyun sit back beside Youngjae. He fixed the blanket and looked at the younger.

“Sing for me”, Youngjae requests to him with a sleepy eye. Daehyun removed his bang that cover Youngjae’s eyes. He always wanted to touch the boy’s hair.

“What song do you want, hmm?”

“Anything. Your voice is nice.”

“Okay then.”

Daehyun was singing continuously with his heart as he watched Youngjae slowly dozed into sleep mode. A smile formed on his face when seeing how peaceful Youngjae in his sleeping.

“Sleep well, love.”

Meanwhile..

Junhong was watching his brother and Daehyun in entire time at the door after Himchan and Yongguk bid him a goodbye. Hearing the word ‘love’ coming out from Daehyun’s mouth, Junhong immediately knew that the prince was surely in love with Youngjae without telling him.

“Would you give him a chance, Junhong-ah?”, Mrs Yoo smiled seeing the couple. Daehyun was staring while smiling to Youngae’s sleeping figure.

“Mummy”

“Youngjae must be in love too with Daehyun. His sleep was calm now as Daehyun besides him. Why don’t you give him a chance? He can protect Youngjae”, Mrs Yoo looked at his younger son.

“Hmm. I agreed but I don’t want Youngjae hyung to be hurt, mummy. What if Daehyun hyung leave him? Youngjae hyung is like a glass that will break anytime”, Junhong couldn’t help but worry.

“Mummy don’t think so. Daehyun is a nice person. He wouldn’t hurt Youngjae. Trust mummy, Junhong-ah.”

“Oka—“ Junhong’s word was cut when Daehyun appeared in front of the door. The cold prince was halted seeing them.

“Erm.. I want to excuse myself. Youngjae was sleeping”, Daehyun said.

“Why don’t you sleepover this night? It’s late too. You also can keep watching Youngjae”, Mrs Yoo suggests.

“I—“

“Just sleepover, hyung. Mummy won’t take a ‘no’ from you”, Junhong interrupts him. Mrs Yoo nodded. This make Daehyun feels guilty if he rejects.

“Erm.. o-okay then. B-but where would I sleep?”

“Youngjae’s bedroom. He needs you the most at this time.” Mrs Yoo casually answered. Daehyun was gulping his saliva.

“Mummy! They are not couple yet!”, Junhong protests. The protective mode of his immediately . Mrs Yoo gives a glare towards him. He rolled his eyes at his mummy’s thought.

“Go in. Youngjae will cry if you are not by his side”, Mrs Yoo pushed the blank Daehyun into the bedroom.

“B-but—“ the door was closed before Daehyun could say anything more.

“Mummy! How could you let him stay on hyung’s bedroom? What if he do anything to hyung??”

“Aigoo my baby. I told you, Daehyun wouldn’t do anything. Just trust me, you kid. Now, let’s go to sleep”, Mrs Yoo dragged his younger son to his bedroom. Junhong could only sighed in defeat.

Lately, I was busy with my studies and now, I'm in a midterm break! Yeay!
