I am going to be blind.
Permanently.
That's all they told me.
Now I'm lying on my bed, eyes staring at the ceiling.
The ceiling is white but all I see is black.
I'm shivering, shaking and hardly breathing.
Normal people would break down crying and screaming.
I've never been normal.
Now I have to deal with an enormous amount of people pitying me.
Because I won't be able to see myself in the mirror.
I won't be able to see my family.
I won't be able to see the beauty of the world.
I won't be able to see the faces of my children and wife. 
I will be stuck in darkness forever, but my heart doesn't mind. 

I have been living in darkness all my life.
