Wonsik and I had planned for days, weeks, years, for our first child. We wanted to be prepared for him or her so we read everything about taking care of children, went to parenting classes, sought for advice, bought more than ever needed, and cared a little too much. Occasionally we would ask for my niece to come over just so that we could see how things were with a child in the house, to take care of her when she needed us through the cuts she might have gotten from playing outside. She was firm on the idea that those wounds were from some "boy" but I never even seen him in my life- Wonsik hadn't either when I asked.
