Minseok is what everyone would think is an innocent boy and student, but looks can be deceiving. He's a teacher, working to be able to support himself. He has no family-- well, he does, but they don't want anything to do with him, since he came out of the closet. From them, he receives not a call or a birthday card, which he tries to tell himself that he doesn't mind, but of course, it would hurt to be so crudely dissed by one's own family. He teaches Chinese, though sometimes his Chinese is not so amazing, and he forgets some words and characters.

 

When he was fifteen, he used to have a boyfriend who loved him and he loved-- loves-- him back, but he was sick. Cancer. Everything was fine at first, but then he fell ill after three years of dating. He was sent immediately to the hospital, where the doctors informed Minseok that he wasn't going to make it. Of course, Minseok being the hopeful teen he was. refused to believe that fact and was optimistaclly talking to his lover every day. The day that he died, Minseok had been talking about something that wasn't important when his lover had stopped him, telling him he loved and always will, and closed his eyes, never to open them again. Minseok didn't want to love again after that.
