Chae Rin was born in a Rich family, but was not treated like one since she was only the half daughter the step mother would treat her like a servant, Chae spent her days living in the attic in the house, what many would refer would be Cinderella but without the prince charming, one day her step mother had arranged a marrige with her friends eldest son, and since her step mothers own daughter didnt want to marry him Chae was forced to. after the first meeting her "Fiance' had her leaving her on the streets afterwords. She ended up in her cousins place for a day BOM the daughter of the Mafia thats when her fighting days began, proving to herself she is worth something. She went back to her house but realized her parents and step sister had left the country because she had shamed them with the canclation of the marriage Not wanting to burden her cousin she spent her days on the street mainly looking for jobs she had got a job as a DJ at Seoul Beat, working double shifts and not having that much money she quit school as well as her dream. Still fighting in gangs she had changed her attitude and name to CL instead giving her such a reputation no one had called her Chae Rin for some time so if they do she gets a little sensitive.

CL is now the ex-wife to Taeyang a famous CEO of a fashion and pop culture magazine, both had gone through many fights during their relationship some worse then others after having a child and being married life was rays of sunshine, but after their death of their only son..things took a wrong turn to a divorce
