The process leading up to it is more nerve-wracking then the actual thing. It's incredibly frustrating when they ask you to pee in a cup before they start you on your IV, at least for me.
Don't get me wrong, the first couple days after some part of you has been cut open because of the nerves it cut through and the swelling. For me though, since it's in my leg where there aren't too many nerves though, the pain lasted 4 days and then I was off pain meds. It'll depend on the operation. Then, as long as you don't agitate it, you won't even feel it's there anymore because it's begun healing.

Generally, the surgery itself is no big deal to me, just what you go through before and after.
