Hey, I just saw your poll about when you should write your first story and I just thought I'd give my 2 cents as maybe some kind of advice?
I actually think you shouldn't worry too much about when, or even listen to people telling you when to do something. You should write your story whenever YOU feel ready for it and only publish it if YOU are satisfied with the outcome.
I have been writing stories for many years, but never had the courage to publish them on the internet (or somewhere else). nobody had ever seen my writings until about 2 weeks ago and I've gotten a lot of very warm and loving feedback since then.
In the end I kind of regret not pursuing writing as a hobby earlier.
Even if you don't want to listen to some random person on the internet, listen to your heart and I'm sure it will turn out great. :)
