Unique subs are how many individual users subbed to your story. Total subs are all your stories' subs combined. One user subs to your story counts as one unique sub. If they sub to another story, your unique sub doesn't increase but your total sub adds plus one.

Total subs are as it says, the number of all the subscriptions your story has gotten. A unique sub is a certain user's subscription to your story. So if for example someone subscribe to your story, that's a unique subs. But if that user subscribes to your other story, it will not count as another unique sub and instead will add up to your total subs.
