The biggest turn offs in the fandom

I've been taking an interest on iKON ever since they were still in WIN, though not as fanatic as when they debuted, B.I, for some reason pulled me to the fandom. But I find it hard to really get into them and stan them, as that's also the reason I'm taking a break right now, because YG is the biggest idiot and, yea, you can name his other foolishness. That's so far my biggest turn off in the fandom. There's also the childish fans problem I have to deal with too, but that's not much of a problem.

Now, if you would, share it with me what's your biggest turn offs in your fandom?

Immature fans really do ruin the fandom but then again even the most mature human being on earth can act like the most immature kid ever on certain occasions. Tbh, I really like being in my small fandom. I've been in quite a big fandom for the past few years and I really get annoyed of fanwars. It just frustrates me especially when people start comparing. Like lbr, all idols worked hard, they trained for years just like any other idol would. I know the most heated fandoms rn are the ARMY and EXO-L fandom that's cause they just won't stop dragging each other's groups and comparing and it gets pretty annoying :/ i miss the old kpop aka where everyone really just wanted to appreciate the music

once they got known to the public better, more "foolish fans" they have.

I'm currently having a problem with Bangtan's fandom, and it's no secret that it's a total mess. There's also the issue of seeing people comment Bangtan-related things on other group videos, and just... why? What has possessed you to do that kind of thing? Lol, it's both hilarious in some ways as well as plain annoying. Another is the popular trend I'm seeing with top (or most liked) comments on almost all of their videos, that consist of cringe-worthy, incoherent nonsense. I understand; to some measure; how something can be so good and so captivating that you're at a loss for words. But seeing so many top comments on videos about how 'shook' a person is in all caps or how 'lit' the song is, or how 'thirsty' a member or two made someone has become abhorrent to me. There are rarely ever comments that are about intricacies in the video or the song itself. A crying shame really that if there are, these comments with real words in them get buried underneath all the nonsense that's thriving today.
Sorry, this has become a teeny tiny bit of a rant, haha.

@xxellinxx I mean, you don't have to avoid listening to groups you like just because of their fandom or because they are known/popular. I listen to EXO and BTS, which I mentioned, but also a variety of others but pay 0 attention to fandom and fandom wars. I'll only show up to read all the drama and laugh while staying at a safe distance lol I don't have time for fandoms, or the energy, and that says a lot since I'm still young xD

@xxellinxx I know! It's like, so many groups have lineup changes or leave and it's really heart breaking. I want to love them while their still here instead of worry about their view counts. The people that matter have seen the MV, and those people are you fans. So please appreciate their releases and don't think about the other groups with higher views. Those won't matter in the end, what matters is that you love them. :'')

@Layni17 OMG YES like kpop these days are all about mv views and them hitting the roof or not. Honestly, winning an award is nice but isn't it nicer to just sit together congratulate them and be thankful that they're getting a come back? There's so many group disbanding these days and you never knew whether your oppars will stay or not. I've experienced that once and that's not a nice feeling. I wish this tradition will stop and we rather appreciate the music than the youtube views count.

@darkpleasure I see your point there. It's kind of nice seeing them grew without really have anything to do with 'fandom things'. I'm once EXO-L, but now I'm content with the life of being a fan of a 'much lesser known' group.

The only problem I've had with the SHINee fandom up until now is that they're constantly complaining over MV view counts- Yes, I know, SHINee deserves higher views but like even Taemin told us to stop worrying about it so like can you not?? I'd rather see the comments full of love for our nine-year idols instead of complaints.
This one isn't KPOP, but like there were two things I liked in middle school (Such cringey years) that I had to leave because of the fandom- Hetalia, and Dan and Phil. Hetalia was a pretty good show, even though I was a stupid twelve-year-old, but once I got to high school I looked at the fandom and went, holy , these are a bunch of disgusting, Creepy Pasta kids. That's who the fandom was and I hated it, so after a while I quit. I want to watch it again but I can't, it's too big a turn-off. Same thing with Dan and Phil, I genuinely enjoy their videos but I hate the Phan shippers and the fact that they're all twelve year olds who never shut up. Yes, there are some older ones, but not enough to balance it out. I can't stand the immaturity and all of that useless shipping- Yes, I ship things, sure. But you guys are never-ending, I wouldn't even want you for my fans.
I like both Twice and GFriend but now have to stay away because their fans are constantly tearing each other down. If you can't be nice to other groups and their fans, then you're rude as hell. That's another big one for me. "Constantly insulting other bands as a way of complimenting your own." Ugh, I can't stand it.
And this is officially too long, so I'll leave it here.;;

Childishness, immaturity, "oppa didn't mean it" kind of mentality, over-obsession with the looks/appearance rather than music/talent, entitlement, hateful behavior, dilusional OTP worshipping. These are some of the reasons I don't do fandoms. I prefer to stay away from all of them, especially EXO, BTS or whatever other fandom that's known to be... weird.
