I NEVER PLANNED ON YOU

author notes
Hi everyone! This is my first multi-chaptered story on AFF so I appreciate any feedback anyone might have, good or bad! Also, if anyone wants to make a cover image for this fic, I'll love you forever (and probably let you plan the plot with me/give you sneak peeks to upcoming chapters). Thanks to kksuperman for asking if I was going to write a sequel and inspiring me to actually do it. Gyuji shippers unite!

He had asked her why they hadn't been caught by Dispatch; she'd snorted and said they could never be mistaken for two people in love. Then, of course, because the world was never on either of their sides, Dispatch published an exclusive about them and everything went to hell.
This is a sequel/spin-off to a previous oneshot, titled you are not mine (but sometimes i pretend you wish you were). It takes place almost directly after the ending of the prequel, in late summer of 2015. I highly suggest you read the oneshot first (aka, it's necessary) so you have an understanding of each of the characters' personalities and their dynamic with each other, as well their past experiences and why each of the characters think/feel the way they do. I will not be reiterating these again in the prologue or in the first few chapters so it's really important that you read the prequel! This is "canon" but will be diverging from real-life events, for obvious reasons stated in the summary above.

<-- This song is Sunggyu's solo acoustic version of "Only Tears," off of his first EP Another Me. I highly recommend you listen to the live version of it (even if the screaming is a little annoying, but who came blame them? It's Gyu!!!). Sunggyu is actually crying in this performance and his emotional vocals really capture the feeling of heartbreak that's really central to this piece of writing, particularly right after the prequel.

Foreword
FOREWORD
The banging on the apartment door woke him from his deep, dreamless slumber, and for a second he felt an odd sense of deja vu, although he couldn't quite place how or why. Infinite had only returned a few hours ago from a music show recording and didn't have anything scheduled for the next morning, which was why he was so confused at being woken up in the middle of the night in the first place. Sungyeol was fast asleep under his covers, but in the darkness he could see Myungsoo feeling around on his nightstand for something. A few seconds later, he felt something hard hit his covers, obviously Myungsoo's signal for him to get the door.
If only Sungjong lived in their room.
He didn't even stop to check the time on his phone before he ambled into the living room to greet the visitor. For a moment he wondered if it was her, before he really hoped it wasn't, and opened the door.
The Infinite manager looked back at him, unsmiling. "Get dressed, you and I are leaving in five for the company."
. Last time something like this happened, the CEO had personally called him up to tell him that his solo album wasn't quite up to par yet, and that they'd be pushing back his solo comeback if he couldn't get it right.
It wasn't later until the car that Sunggyu finally was awake enough to panic about why they were heading to Woollim at 2 in the morning, and asked the manager what he'd done wrong. Bad promotions had gone smoothly and were about to wrap up without too many bumps along the way, and his solo album had done well enough for him to not worry about negotiating for a third.
The manager looked at him wordlessly and sighed before handing him his own cell phone, motioning for him to look at it, although the screen was still on the home page. Confused, Sunggyu opened the browser app to find it right there, trending as #1 on the front page of Naver:
Infinite's Sunggyu and A Pink's Jung Eunji caught by Dispatch

Since it's the prologue, it's really short but the plot and the chapter length will both pick up in the first chapter! Please subscribe for the next update OuO
