Project 1: "L.o.v.e"

Description

Park Jinyoung's small actions and random words mean more to Jaebum than he could have ever imagined.

Foreword

Im Jaebum dreaded waking up two hours earlier than usual to bring his grandmother bamboo leaf tea every morning before work. Don’t be confused, he loved visiting his grandma, but those two lost hours didn’t help his mentals and decreased his favorability with coworkers and business partners.

This morning was no different as he rushed from the small neighborhood tea house to his grandma’s apartment building just 15 minutes before he was due for a weekly summary, only to be pushed forward and have his hand grabbed by a slightly shorter and thinner male just at the doors of  the complex lobby. The man buried his face in his Brioni slim-fit suit.

“Just hold my hand for now. Don’t fight it, and I will owe you forever,” the man whispered, voice muffled, as he opened the glass door and pulled Jaebum in. “Turn around and tell me if the two guys that look like young delinquents run passed.”

Jaebum did as told and watched two men run passed the door.

“Yeah, they have.”

“Alright, thank you so much’- he spun Jaebum around and smiled, staring him straight in the eyes -’I hate losing at Hide and Seek. Call me Jin. Hey, I don’t usually see you around here. Did you just move? More important question: Can we split a cab? I kinda have no money and a place to be.”  Jaebum didn’t pay much attention to what he was saying and looked down at his clothes. Jin’s black jeans had been cut off just above his knees, his white shirt exposed his collarbones, and his black hat forced his hair into his eyes. He finally pulled his hand away.

“I have to give my grandmother her tea, and she hates waiting for things that should just be there. You’ve made me late in order to win a game and now the tea is warm. I am now late for work.” Jaebum paused for a minute to calm down his heart. “Your hands are extremely sweaty, so thank you very much.” He made his way to the elevator and up to the 14th floor, leaving ‘Jin’ without answers to the questions he had actually asked.

Grandma Im’s door was always unlocked, and she stood right in the middle of her living room, bent forward in a beginner’s yoga position.  Jaebum put her cup on the coffee table before bowing gently and mumbling an apology. She sat down on a mat with her legs straight out.

“I don’t like to be kept waiting, Im Jaebum. That’s no-no.” He tried not to laugh at her random english. She frowned. “You’re late to work.”

“I love you, too, Grandma. But, I really cannot keep bringing you teas every morning. I’m starting to get a reputation as ‘the late boss’. Plus,  some (he dodged his grandma’s throw pillow)  made me late because he was playing a game and I’m in such an unfavorable mood,” he started to complaining before she pointed at her watch.

“You should fire yourself.”

‘Jin’ was still in the lobby when they elevator doors opened.

“Hey, what’s your name and what’s up with the suit,” he asked, looking Jaebum up and down. He didn’t wait for an answer.

“Can we split a cab?”

Hello, reader! This is my first of hopefully many music projects called L.o.v.e.

My first project is my favorite song from a unique artist, Gonne Choi.

Here's a really short forward that explains nothing at all, but please give this a chance. I really hope you enjoy it.
