“I love you” Sungmin said abruptly made the person in front of him choked on the coffee he drank, the person chuckled while wiped the spilt coffee with tissue Sungmin offered to him

“I love you too min, so much” the person smiled genuinely and it just hurt Sungmin

“Why?” Sungmin asked worriedly, fidgeting on his chair feeling nervous although he knew the obvious answer the person will replied

“Hmmm…. Why? Simply because….” The person paused for awhile, stared blankly at Sungmin who keep wetting his lips due to the nervousness, the person chuckled while observing his boyfriend “I don’t know why min, I just love you” the person replied while smiling again which again hurt Sungmin “But why do you ask me this?”

“Well…” Sungmin played with his fingers again feeling nervous “I just curious” Lie. Sungmin knew the reason why the person loved him but he just didn’t have courage to tell his boyfriend the truth “Kyu… will you forget about me If I’m gone?” Although in the end Sungmin knew his boyfriend will forget about him, Sungmin still asked the question

“How can I forget you when this” Kyuhyun took Sungmin’s hand and placed it on his beating heart “this heart is beating for you, the only time I will forget about you is when my heart stop beating” tears started to drop from Sungmin’s eyes

“Thank you kyu… thank you” even if it was a lie.

The moment Kyuhyun laid eyes on Sungmin his heart was beating fast but how can? How can a devil looked so angel like him? It was a big mistake indeed for Kyuhyun to approach Sungmin who was crying on the empty road near Kyuhyun’s apartment that night. Despite Kyuhyun’s gift which is able to see devil with bare eyes and his broad knowledge about how devil is not supposed to interact with human, Kyuhyun still approached the prettiest devil he had ever seen after 25 years he had seen them

“Are you okay?” Kyuhyun crouched down to have same level as the devil, Sungmin looked at Kyuhyun in shocked by the fact that human could see him, Sungmin put his arms around Kyuhyun and cried on Kyuhyun’s embrace “I don’t know what happen but everything will be alright, I promise you everything will be alright” Surprisingly it sounded comforting to Sungmin, he was crying because he had argument with his friends as no matter how old Sungmin was back then, he still couldn’t act like a proper devil, he still couldn’t accept the fact that devil had to act evil, their friends said human are the real evil and because of that they couldn’t make friends with human which didn’t make sense for Sungmin and now with Kyuhyun, a stranger who just happened to pass by him and surprisingly could see him cheered Sungmin up there’s no more reason for devil to bother human. Sungmin drew himself back and stared at Kyuhyun’s brown eyes, it looked gentle and warm, Sungmin could feel his heart beating fast and without thinking anything he whispered to Kyuhyun sorry and whispered some spell while looking at Kyuhyun’s eyes, those warm and brown eyes immediately turned cold and red.

“Love me Kyu” Sungmin whispered

“I will, always, forever”

I always wish I was a human and not a devil.

Sungmin looked at Kyuhyun who was playing game on his phone, they were spending their weekend at home, Sungmin stood up from the sofa and walked to the big window at Kyuhyun’s apartment living room and stared on the crowded street outside. It’s time Sungmin. It’s the time, you can’t hold Kyuhyun any further. Sungmin sighed, wiped the tears which started to drop on his face, faked a smile and walked to Kyuhyun

“Kyu?”

“Hm?” Kyuhyun still looking on his phone

“I love you”

“Love you too min” Kyuhyun smiled, took Sungmin’s hand with his free hand and kissed it

“Look at me kyu”

“What if I don’t want?”

“Please” Sungmin sounded desperate

“No… not today min” Sungmin looked at Kyuhyun confusedly, with the spell he put on Kyuhyun 3 months ago, Kyuhyun supposed to obey him but why Kyuhyun didn’t this time?

“Kyu?”

“What’s wrong with you min? I’m still playing the game now” Kyuhyun still looked down on his phone ignored Sungmin. Why. What happen. It’s the time Lee Sungmin. If not Kyuhyun will suffer, the spell he casted on Kyuhyun would make Kyuhyun obey whatever he said but there was one thing he learned from his friend one month ago, with Kyuhyun condition as a human the spell only killing him, even then Kyuhyun looked okay but soon his condition will be deteriorate, Sungmin didn’t believe it on the first place but lately Sungmin realized Kyuhyun had weaken and he couldn’t stand the thought that he was the one who made Kyuhyun like that. Despite all the exchanging ‘I love you’ which sounded real but still, Kyuhyun said it because he was under Sungmin’s spell, it was nothing other than one-sided love. The forbidden love which shouldn’t be happen between human and devil.

“Kyu please, look at my eyes” Sungmin desperately calling for Kyuhyun as he could see Kyuhyun’s energy had started to weaken drastically

“I told you I don’t want! Why should I?” for the first time after 3 months together, Kyuhyun yelled at him, Sungmin took a deep breath, he casted another spell to make Kyuhyun obey his command

“Cho Kyuhyun look at my eyes”  Sungmin whispered softly while holding his tears, this time the spell would work, Sungmin thought

“Stop it min...” Kyuhyun hold Sungmin’s arms and hug him, Sungmin could feel his shoulder wet. Crying? Kyuhyun cried? But why? “No matter how many spell you cast on me it won’t affect me, I have a gift since I was born, I can see devils and… no matter how hard they try to cast spells on me, they won’t affect me”

“But you… you…” Sungmin was speechless and he started to cry like Kyuhyun, could it be?

“I love you Lee Sungmin, I love you since the night we met 3 months ago, I truly love you, although my eyes turn red but that’s the only effect which happen to me, the love is real min… this heart truly beating for you and I know you are planning to leave me once I look at you so please min… don’t force me to look at you I can’t live without you and that’s the truth no spell can make me say something like this” truth. Love. Spell. Everything was just confusing, Death. Kyuhyun. Sungmin suddenly remember what his friend told him, there was no more time he couldn’t stay with Kyuhyun longer than this, that’s it. That’s it

“Thanks kyu” Sungmin smiled weakly “now look at me bravely, I want to say something to you” when Kyuhyun shook his head in disagreement, Sungmin whispered desperately to Kyuhyun “please Kyu…” Kyuhyun finally looked at Sungmin’s eyes “good boy” Sungmin tried to smile despite the pain he felt on his chest right now “Listen to me, I love you, I really do… Ssshh… listen to me I have no much time left, I just want to say, thank you kyu… thank you so much” Sungmin kissed Kyuhyun “and sorry” Sungmin casted another spell while stared at Kyuhyun’s eyes and immediately Kyuhyun’s brown eyes back but as the spell worked that was also the last time Kyuhyun saw Sungmin.

“Huh? Why was I crying?” Kyuhyun scratched his un-itchy head and looked at his phone “did I accidentally fall asleep?” Kyuhyun shrugged his shoulder and continue playing with his phone.
