She didn't knew what she was doing. It was in the middle of the night, 1.25 a.m. and she was walking around because she couldn't bat an eye. She could imagine herself being scolded by her mother if she ever left the house at midnight without anyone knowing— ah how she missed her mom's endless nagging

 

She found a 24 hours convenient store and decided she wanted to eat ramen with a can of cola while she's at it. She was sure craving chocolate too. Naeun entered the store and went to grab all the things she wanted to buy before paying She then went over to put hot water in her ramen cup before carefully carrying it to the tables near the corner of the store. She sat down onto the plastic chairs then opened her cola and took a sip before eating ramen. She blankly stared ahead as she thought of her sister— she sure missed having late out snacks with her. Maybe she'll go visit them in the weekends

 

Letting out a tired sigh, Naeun placed her chopsticks down and laid her head on the table. This won't do. She needed someone to talk with. So she took her phone out and dialed a number she had already knew by heart " Hello " a groggy voice answered and Naeun felt bad for waking him up. She forgot it was already so late at the moment " Noona, are you there? " 

 

" O-oh " she answered " Did I wake you up? " it was stupid question, she knew that. Of course she had woken him up, it was near 2 for Pete's sake

 

But Minjae who had such a big heart for Naeun, only shook his head before silently cursing himself that she couldn't see him " No, you didn't. I woke up by myself a few minutes ago "

 

" Ah, really? Why did you suddenly wake up? " Naeun asked, trying to make small conversation before drinking her abandoned cola

 

" It was cold and I don't have a shirt on but I'm to lazy to take a shirt so here I am, thinking about " he answered smoothly. He could hear faint music from the background and wondered where she could be " Hey, where are you, by the way? "

 

" I'm at the convenient store eating ramen. I couldn't sleep so I went for a walk but ended up here " she came clean before taking a bite from her ramen

 

" Aren't you scared, noona? " she heard him ask from the other line

 

" If I was, I wouldn't have dare go out " she chuckled then leaned her head on her hand for support

 

" You're a weird one noona " he laughed before continuing " You're so scared of cockroaches but you're not scared of going out late at night "

 

" Shut up " she clicked her tongue, embarrassed that he brought it up " You know, I would be much more happier if you don't bring that up at every opportunity you get "

 

" Never " he laughed a little louder

 

" Yah, I'm going to kill you the next time you talk about it! " she threatened

 

" Sure, I'd like to see you try " he let out a chuckle

 

Naeun rolled her eyes before changing the topic because she knew he was going to make fun of her if she were to challenge him further. Yes, Kim Minjae might be younger than her but he was more than comfortable with her and vise versa. Naeun continued to talk to him about a lot of things without even letting him reply " Am I right or am I right, Minjae-ah? " she waited for him to answer but there wasn't any reply and Naeun was starting to think he had slept on her again. She was just about to call his name when she suddenly felt someone sitting beside her

 

" Hai noona " he greeted before ending the call and placed his phone on the table " Oh and yea, you're right " He playfully grinned before snatchin
