PROLOGUE

"I'm sorry Sir, but I really don't know what happened to him!" Kyuhyun protested with wide, innocent eyes that were brimmed with tears.

"I'm not sure on what to belive," Joonhyung, the caretaker said through gritted teeth. "All I know is that you and Jieun were in the same room with him and Jieun would never hurt anyone."

"It's not me," Kyuhyun repeated in a whisper, tears starting to fall.

"TELL ME THE TRUTH! TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO HEAR!" the man shouted with a threatening tone, his face red with rage. He used the cane in his right hand to hit the wooden surface of the table with a swift motion.

Kyuhyun winced at the sharp sound the cane made and hung his head from anger. Nothing would stop that man from doing what he normally does. "I. Did. Not. Do. Anything. Wrong," he hissed.

"Then I'll have to teach you what you have done wrong, Cho Kyuhyun. Things always happen and you are always involved. Either you are always caught at the wrong time or you have intentions to harm others," Joonhyun sneered. "I'm tired of this so let's just get this over with, shall we? How many do you think you deserve?

Kyuhyun gritted his teeth at the expected speech. He could only get this over and done with by replying the answer the man wanted to hear. "As many as you think I deserve, Sir."

A sinister smile played at the edge of the old man's lips. "Let's begin then. I never seem to get tired of this routine."

Joonhyung raised his arm and Kyuhyun got onto all fours, his hands clenched, preparing for his punishment ahead.
