Some say that Dara is being used as a distraction to hide GD's relationship with Kiko. Others say that it's the other way around. Another group of fans totally disregard their ship as a marketing ploy. In the end, no one can really tell. No one can confirm aside from those involved. 

Fans like us are left with nothing but speculation as to what have happened (or what is happening). I have been a fan of BIGBANG since way, way back and I have been a fan of 2NE1 since Lollipop days. In my eyes and inside my mind, what happened was: Darayang was real at some point in time. It was one-sided though. Taeyang had a crush on Dara but the Dragon already staked his claim. For this reason, Tabisan's development was stunted as well.

Daragon was a long (and rocky) relationship. Girls, parties and rumors have bombarded their relationship (or pseudo-relationship). To some extent, the people surrounding the two, namely the fans and GD's friends, have also affected them. During the Alive era, everything went downhill and by OOAK, Daragon was no more well, at least it appears as if Dara has completely gotten over GD. GD's relationship since the infamous Pinkmas event has been implicitly confirmed. They may be over now but Dara remains to be (one of) GD's muse(s). 

I know that shipping Daragon entails that people will call you delusional. However, just this time, I would like to say that Daragon fans has creativity. In fact, I am not shipping because I believe that they will be together in real life. I ship because GD and Dara are effective media of creativity.

This is my take on the whole Dara X G-Dragon ship. Any similarities to other stories are purely coincidental. The events and scenes written here are purely fictional and are derived from my imagination. The songs used here are not mine as well. The chapters are loosely related.
