There are times where Myungsoo thinks that the world revolving around him is just full of simple matter but humans like to take it to another complex level because they are curious. Myungsoo doesn't like complexity. He doesn't like knowing what a tree does or how a ball bounces or how bats used sound to determine certain locations because who cares? Myungsoo isn't interested in all that scientific stuff. He thinks its a waste of time spending a few years learning how to calculate the mass of chemical elements and its substitution. He really just prefers to take a step back and just enjoy what life has to offer.

Myungsoo is someone who chooses to learn about gardening or how to write stories or even learn how to play the guitar. He's one of those artistic types rather than the calculative scientific types. It's not surprising that Myungsoo is probably more or less at the bottom of the class ranks. He scores high in his art subjects but low in maths, science, geography except for history which he's surprisingly good at. 

He's got a world of his own. There's a journal that he's been keeping ever since he was ten that is full of sketches, poetry, lyrics and photographs that were taken or written or drawn over the years Myungsoo has had this journal. It's like time traveling for Myungsoo. He gets to look back at his old thoughts and discoveries. There were some pages full of doodles next to his self-written poems which were rather cringe-worthy. Several pages were filled with his thoughts about his findings from his back yard. There were sad stories about his parents divorce and how he felt at that time. He never had friends, unless you count his old next door neighbour whom he barely talked to, so his journal was and still is the only thing thats keeping him afloat.

When puberty finally hits him hard during high school, Myungsoo is forced to enter a new territory that he's never thought could exist before.
