Chapitre Six

Yuri would look at Yoona, and when the girl would notice and look back, Yuri would turn away. It went for a good fifteen minutes and she finally sighed and said it.

“Are we going to go, wherever that is, by walking?” she stopped and furrowed her brows together. Yoona nodded. Yuri’s mouth was agape and she whined. “What is it anyway? Where the hell are we going?” she asked folding her arms. One thing Yuri hated the most was physical efforts.

Yoona scratched her head and looked at the opposite side. She’s being coy, she knows I won’t like what she’s going to say. Yuri mentally complimented her Yoona-reading skills.

“It is uh….it is some,” Yoona cleared hesitantly, “small city. Far city. Beautiful place…lot of nature.” She tried to cover it up quickly.

“How far?” Yuri squinted her eyes.

“Far.” Yoona puckered her lips into a thin line.

“Which city?” Yuri asked again.

“Yeongju.”

“What?!” Yuri squealed. “Yeongju?! Do you know how far that is? And…and we’re going to go there on foot? Do I look like Superwoman?” she said in one go and Yoona started walking again.

“Walk is safe. We cannot take chance. We walk we hide easy.” She said firmly.

Yuri tapped her feet in hope that would help generate a genius idea. She snapped her fingers together when she actually got one and yelled: “I think I’m going to faint!” and fell to the ground. She laid limp for a moment and then opened one eye to see if Yoona had stopped.

But the gangster kept on walking, infact she had gone too far. Yuri cursed under breath, getting up, and jogged to catch up.

“It’s too hot! I think my blood pressure is falling!” she whined, to no avail.

They were out in suburban Seoul after walking around for an hour or so. Yoona marched on however Yuri could barely drag herself anymore. She wasn’t used to this much assertion at all, she had hardly ever been motivated enough to go to the nearest grocery. She would just bribe one of her siblings with a few extra notes.

Yoona turned to see Yuri actually on the verge of losing consciousness. The younger was drenched in sweat and heaving breathlessly. Yoona gave it a second thought.

“Let’s rest.” She declared and Yuri grinned sheepishly, eyes glinting with relief.

“I was just gonna suggest that.”

Yoona scanned the area and saw a bus stop on their left. The waiting bench was empty so she held Yuri’s wrist and helped her walk a little more.

When they sat Yuri basically just melted on wood. She dropped her arms by her side and stretched her legs out. “God, I’m so tired!” she yelled at the sky, puffing her cheeks with air and blowing it out. She could swear she heard Yoona chuckle. But when she looked the older had a poker face. She’s just quick, doesn’t want me to know she’s amused, thought Yuri.

Yoona arched her back to ease herself, stretching her arms upwards. She shut her eyes in satisfaction and a soft groan escaped .

That’s so ual and I love it. Thought Yuri, eyeing her with slightly parted lips. Her eyes then trailed Yoona down towards her fair exposed legs as she placed one on top of another, then he eyes shot back as Yoona ran a hand through her messy hair pushing them back. I’m gonna nosebleed someday.

When Yuri finally looked back up at Yoona’s face the older was staring at her. Yuri flushed with embarrassment and turned straight, clearing .

“Don’t get any wrong idea.” She said and looked back to see Yoona raising a questioning brow. “It’s nothing like that.” She shook her head.

“Did I say something?” Yoona asked back and Yuri face palmed herself in her head. Now Yoona was smirking and she did chuckle, Yuri relaxed she wasn’t hallucinating afterall. Not crazy yet.

“You seem so used to this.” She said instead, sitting upright by whatever energy was left.

“Hmm. Me and Rebecca was houselifting.” She nodded.

“What’s houselifting?” Yuri asked, eyes half lidded by sudden drowsiness.

“Like shoplifting. But we steal from house.” She smiled. It was so rare to see Yoona smile and so whenever she did, without knowing Yuri would be smiling too. “One time me and Rebecca steal food from house and eat in a bus stop like this.” Her this sounded more like thee-se.

“Stealing food.” Yuri was laughing inaudibly. The idea of two deadly gangsters breaking into a house to steal food was so absurdly hilarious.

“Stupid…I know.” Yoona was laughing too. The way her eyes crinkle into crescents is so cute. Yuri thought. “But Rebecca will always do stupid thing and bring me with her. That just how we was.”

For the first time Yoona didn’t looked pained talking about Rebecca. She just looked happy.

While listening Yuri tried to grab the water bottle Yoona had bought on the way. It across Yoona and Yuri had to lean forward but being as tired she was, she fell on Yoona’s lap. Yuri sighed, cheeks burning, and clumsily tried to lift herself back up but failed and fell again. She’s gonna get mad now…

Much dismay to her expectation, Yoona gently held Yuri’s arms and helped her balance herself. She then handed her the bottle but Yuri was too exhausted to even lift it up to . Yoona sighed and placing an airy hand behind Yuri’s neck that sent shivers down her spine, she placed the lid of the bottle next to her lips. Yuri drank and signaled her to stop. Yoona then unboxed the lunchbox and turned towards Yuri, shifting closer. I’m not five… Yuri pouted, unwillingly turning herself to face her too.

“Taeyeon make soup very good.” Yoona said, blowing on the spoon to cool it down.
