Nam Areum is a witty tomboy who lives with her mother and her sister Nam Nari in the time of The Joseon Dynasty. Areum is chosen to be a Royal Servant against her choice for the upcoming wedding of Princess Yu Mi Yeong who's face has not been seen and the Crown Prince Kim Seokjin who's personality is only known to his cousins, The Bangtan Princes. On the day of the wedding , Mi Yeong elopes with her longterm boyfriend a non-royal called Jaejin, when Areum is supposed to get her ready. When the Crown Prince hears of this he has no choice but to marry Areum , a commoner he has barely met, because if others outside the Palace grounds hear of the brides escape it will surely cause a problem to those who dislike the Crown Prince.
