It Was Supposed To Be A Fun Day

Kim Jinwoo was directionally challenged.

Someone whose only as dim witted as he was could only turn left when the map so obviously scream to turn right. He didn't even take notice of the suspicious sign that again, so obviously scream 'DO NOT ENTER' in bloody red bold font of Tahoma. He actually chuckled to himself, thinking it was some kind of prank City Kid's pull to stop their professor from going to class. He was so damn naive.

Looking up at the stairs that welcomed him at that turn of the building, Jin Woo frowned, but nonetheless ambled up. He took the image of the numerous graffities at the connecting walls and thought how that school was so generous to offer its walls to art inspired kids. He should have known better.

He didn't even scowl in disgust as words of ' Off!' and "This school is !" and Other Bad Words that should be censored for the sake of humanity were painted on the walls in different sizes and ty writing. Jinwoo couldn't help but admire them. It was as if he was walking through the Bad Art Museum: Home of the Dumpster Masterpieces. Oh, Kim Jinwoo.

The beautiful man clutched more to the straps of his bag pack, nervous yet feeling excited. He had never seen such things in his life and it felt like a breath of fresh air for his system. He continued his tour towards the path of nothing but obscene graphitizes and aimless stairs.

Finally, it was the end. Yet, Kim Jinwoo being as ignorant as he was, didn’t even doubt the fact that the end of the stairs have chains and locks on it. Oh boy, he didn’t care. He just simply jump his way over it like it was some kind of an obstacle, he thought his Professors would most likely to do before entering their class. How lively the City were!

Jinwoo trembled at the sight of the metal door ahead. Oh yes, his body shook visibly. Not cause of the obvious grunts of pain that was echoing inside the hall, not cause of the wicked giggles it resounded, not cause of the hard fact that the door was all rusty and in no way could be the door for his class. Jinwoo shivered in frenzy, he was in hullaballoo, he was eager, so eager to enter that door that just basically scream hell if not for Jinwoo’s audacity.

He ignored the grunts, giggles and other muffling sound of gasps, assuming that it was none other than his new classmates, playing around. If you could ever call the sound of agony as playing around.

Jinwoo was now just inches away from the metal cover, a smile forming on his beautiful face, despite the pity state of the rusty door. He fixed his shirt one more time, checking if everything were in place before dusting off the nonexistent dirt on his pants. He fixed his tie, his hair, his everything. He couldn’t afford to leave a single thing out of place in fear of not being desirable. He wanted to make new friends on this new City. He wanted to make new memories.

Brightening his smile all the more, he took a deep breath, lifted one of his hand and rested it on the door.

“It’s going to be a fun day,” he told himself inwardly as he exhaled and pushed for the door.

He should have not wished for the impossible.

Lee Chaerin was pissed.

She got blood on her skirt and there’s no amount of laundry compensation could ever help to that. She nodded at the expectant look of her underling, and no time was wasted before the poor beaten senior was down on the rooftop’s floor, half way to death.

She was called The Queen. Of course, she was. No one would ever dare to go against The Queen. No one. So when the older boy, whose now poorly beaten to a pulp, decided to man up and told her that their school didn’t need such Tyrant. Lee Chaerin proved him otherwise.

The guy was weak. She only sent a punch straight to his jaw and the idiot lost half of its teeth. Worst, he was a spitter! Chaerin swore she saw black when the kid spat blood on her skirt. Mercy was not part of her name, and the unfortunate kid would be lucky enough if he at least saved his pancreas with her deathly attacks.

The Baddest Female of Seoul. Lee Chaerin was a daughter of a Mafia Clan. She basically grew up with men pointing guns at each other during breakfast and some who missed their fingers at dinner. She knew brutal and gore before she was even taught how to write hangul. She lived with death on her side.

And it was excruciating for her to know that she could not handle just a small campus. If anyone dared to go against her, then one should be advised that they’re going against The Queen of the Underworld herself. For anyone that came her way would have some bloody mouth and aching body that wasn’t there before.

She turned but only to sneer at the beaten body on the ground before eyeing her underlings to make way for her and they did with fear on their eyes. She sashayed towards the defeated guy, all bloodied and dirty. Just like how she wanted. Her smile was sinister, her stare was from the devil and an air of ruin surrounding her. But after all that, she was still a beauty. An exotic face, too attracted for her own advantage.

But with her pretty face and a grin up on her face, she threw a powerful kick to the gut of the already crushed guy, that sent him rolling over the floor and whimpering in pain.

And she thought he was unconscious.

She cursed a million times on her head before kneeling in one, and grabbing him on his bloody collar. It was not over yet.

“It’s going to be a fun day,” she snickered maliciously as she lifted her knuckle for yet another blow.

But the door banged open.

--o0o--

He stared dumbfounded at the scene that behold before the door. It wasn’t what he expected.

Where’s the chairs and tables?

“Excuse me?” Jinwoo asked, as if he walked to a brawl every single day of his life and couldn’t careless with the beat up man that was sprawled on the concrete floor.

Chaerin was actually surprised. No, she was intrigued. Who was this boy?

“I’m sorry,” Jinwoo blushed as he approached the commotion, Chaerin’s hand was still up in the air ready to send someone to hell and back but Jinwoo didn’t seem to mind. “Is this, in any case, Class 1-B?” He asked, looking over his map at hand and the obvious rooftop setup.

The Queen and her Underlings was too astonished by the fact that someone had the guts to enter their territory, more to delay Chaerin from executing someone.

One of the Underling decided to step up. “Yah!” He charged toward Jinwoo, with a voice thundering so loud it would make you piss your pants. But not Jinwoo, it didn’t. “What the is wrong with you?!”

Jinwoo blinked at him. Oh yes, he just blinked at him.

The underling began to reddened as he began to get real pissed. “You–“

“That’s enough!” Chaerin declared, and everyone stayed frigid on their spot. She let go of the limp body, throwing it back to the floor before staring up to the intruder.

“You.” She pointed at him. “What’s your name?”

“Oh! Hello. I’m Kim Jinwoo.” He smiled before lifting his hand for a handshake, but Chaerin just merely looked at his hand before looking back at his face. She couldn’t help but frown at it. He was too beautiful for a guy.

“Lee Chaerin.”

“Oh, that’s a nice name. Nice to meet you, Lee Chae–“

Kim Jinwoo wasn’t able to finish off for the next thing everyone knew was him, flying a few feet back and falling on his back for The Queen sent a strong kick to his chest. The underlings laughed, while Jinwoo gasped in pain, clutching his aching abdomen. Chaerin strolled her way to him, lifting his chin with a finger while his insides throbbed in injury. He was wincing and Chaerin liked it.

“And don’t you ever forget that name.”

It was her wicked smile on her lips and that mole next to it. It was the last thing that his blurred sight could see as darkness consumed.

--o0o--

“Hello! Lee Chaerin!”

Chaerin rolled her eyes, pretending that she didn’t see the boy. She pulled her bag over her shoulder and walked out of the campus, everyone shrinking back in terror to give way to The Queen. Jinwoo didn’t notice the discomfort on everyone’s demise and instead bowed his head as to say his goodbyes, before following Chaerin out.

“Why are you following me?” Chaerin asked irritated, not looking back at him.

“My place is this way!” Jinwoo chimed happily. Of course, it was not. He was lost and it seemed that he hadn’t yet noticed.

She turned to an alley, and so did he.

She walked a little faster, and so did he.

She stopped, and so did…

“Stop following me! I swear I’ll ing kill you!!” Chaerin charged back, enrage with irritation. However, Jinwoo only blinked at her, and yet again, Chaerin was fascinated with how beautiful his eyes were. .

“Stay here! If you dare follow just one of my step, I’ll ing cut you. Got that punk?!” Jinwoo wasn’t able to answer as The Queen already turned around and walked away.

After a few minutes, Chaerin noticed a shadow following her from behind. Willing herself to not pull out the gun she carry all the time, Chaerin turned around only to find one of their man, walking a few meters away from her.

“Young Miss. How was your school today?” He asked at he recognized the heir of their clan.

“It was,” ty. Like how she would normally answer the usual question, but a certain guy flashed on her mind and she was immediately annoyed.

“ing frustrating!” She cursed and ran passed by their man, the ruffian only frown, shrugging his shoulder with their Miss’ strange behavior before walking straight.

--o0o--

“Hello there, Kiddo!”

Jinwoo looked up from his map and to the men that was in front of him. Despite their ferocious height, scars on their faces, and numerous tattoos on their arm, he only smiled and greeted them back.

“Oh! Hello!” Jinwoo replied friendly, his doe eyes smiling. He was lost, and the sight of common people were like a sign of hope for him. Little did he know.

“Are you lost? You seem troubled,” One thug told him, snaking his bulky tattooed arm on Jinwoo’s shoulder. The boy only thought of it as a friendly gesture. He nodded his head, innocent and naïve with the nasty smirk the four men was sharing.

“Eh? Isn’t that just unfortunate,” One feigned a sob and the smaller boy actually felt a little ashamed.

“Oh, no. Not at all. Please don’t trouble yourself,” he replied in concern, smiling as the four goons boisterously laughed.

“Well, you know, it’s already getting dark and there’s a lot of bad guys out there. Why don’t you just come with us? We’ll get you home tomorrow morning once it’s safe,” the one whose arm was on his shoulder grinned wickedly at his companions, however sounding dejectedly concern for the boy’s wellness.

Jinwoo thought it was bad idea. He didn’t want to impose much with the friendly crowd. But admittedly, he was really lost, and he could so obviously see the sun setting down to the horizon. He’s new in the City, he might really get himself somewhere dangerous.

Despite the mental weight of exploiting other’s time and sociability, Jinwoo nodded, his doe eyes blinking once again. The mere movement of his lashes was making the men create scenarios on their head that must not be named for it would truly culture shock one’s head.

“Okay! Let’s go!” Another one rest his arm over Jinwoo’s shoulder as they lead the naïve boy to wherever they could do what was playing on their heads. Jinwoo happily followed with the flow, scenarios of playing and eating delicious foods with his new found friends were piling up on his head.

“Hey ers! Where dya think you’re doing?!” A female’s voice, resounded not too far from them. All of them turned their heads, the men feeling pissed with the nasty endearment yet when their eyes caught the certain female, they all shrunk back in
