They say nothing can be perfect in the world we live in.

There is no rose without thorns. No Achilles without his heel.

Hanwol Academy simply had to have a flaw.

And so gave existence to the D-class---The class where all the kids with problems were.

The first thing that crossed Seo Yoorae's mind when she looked at the new classroom in front of her were three awfully clear words:

Something was wrong.

She quickly raised her hand, swallowing the lump in that threatened to take her on an emotional trip to hell.

"S-Seonsaengnim, I believe that there's been a mistake--"

"Alice."

The teacher's voice was soft and slightly shaky as he slowly gave her a knowing smile. A knowing smile of sympathy, apology, and pure despair. A knowing smile that seemed to ask her "Why the hell would you step into to a place like this".

A knowing smile that Alice did not like.

"Welcome to Class 9-A. Please excuse the guy just now with ACHOO Syndrome and the Hypersomniac right behind him. Oh, and I'll have to warn you not to touch the two boys in front of you. One has OCD, and the other recently got into an accident so he's 92% blind. And do avoid the seat in the back. It's empty right now. And you'll soon know that it's best when empty."

The teacher looked back at the class with his sad, cement-like smile. He looked as if he wanted to cry.

"Now, would the Mafia leader's daughter in front of me care to show Alice around the school?"

Welcome to the D Class. Where the teacher instead of the students fakes illness to avoid school.
