A Nightmare Turned Into A Beautiful Dream

Description

As my blond hair flowed in the wind, a single tear escaped my sky-blue eyes that at the moment were looking out over my parents grave. Today had been the day of the burial and to be honest I wasn’t sure how I was supposed to feel. Sure, I felt upset and angry at the drunkdriver that had cause the accident that killed my parents. But the thing was that I barely knew them, ever since we had arrived in Sweden 10 years ago the only thing they ever did was work. My mother and father didn't pay attention to me and I liked it that way. It left me more time with my music and composing. Ever since I was a little girl I always loved music and dancing, it was my escape, my hiding place and where I could be myself.

Suddenly I noticed that I had zoned out the entire funeral and that my fathers beloved colleagues where shaking my shoulders. I quickly apologized and made my way back to our old home which I soon would be leaving. Where to you ask? Well I wasn't sure yet, probably some foster home since non of my living relatives lived in Sweden, no they were all the way over in south Korea. At a foster home I would spend my 3 remaining years as a child before turning 18 and start figuring out my life. To say the least, I wasn't looking forward to it.

As I tuned the key and stepped inside the huge white mansion I took a deep breath and tried to take it all in. The beautiful white marble-staircase, the huge classy kitchen and finally as I went up the stairs, my room. My room filled to the brim with instruments and recording equipment, in difference to the rest of the house, my room was painted in bright colours with posters of a few of my favorite musicians, mostly rappers to be honest. As I continued walking around the room, I stopped by my piano, as my fingers lingerd on the keys I started to play.

After that a few minutes of playing I suddenly heard someone entering the house downstaris.

-Hello, Lily are you in here?

That certain someone that just entered my old home said in heavily accented english. I quickly walked out of my room and ran down the stairs to be greeted by someone I haven’t seen in 10 years, not since I left South Korea. It was my grandfather, Yang Hyun-suk. When me and my family still lived in Korea, he was the one who took care of me and inspired me to start with music and dancing.  He opened his arms and embraced me. We just stood there, silent and hugging. Just appreciating each others comapany. After a while I broke out of his embrace and mustered up the courage to ask him why he was here, since he and my father, to put it simply, didn’t get along well. My grandfather chuckled and simply stated:

-I’m here to bring you home with me and help you start a new life in South Korea with me.

I couldn’t belive my ears, a wave of relive and happieness rushed over me. And at that moment I knew that my life was going to change for the better.
