Note: This is an arrange marriage fanfiction— ironically something that I dislike reading but going to try writing— and is about prejudicial discrimination amongst those who are above and below the pyramid (like Pureblood-Halfblood-Blood Traitor-Muggle-Mudblood kind of thing from HP, as an example). As much as possible, I'll try not to make this as cliché as I can because— really— too much of it is icky. Then again, I might become a hypocrite so I'm not promising anything; I'll be trying, though! On another note, the pairings that are cited above are fixed already— however, whoever my female muse ends up with, I'm still not sure (who knows how the story goes, anyways?).

Characters (in order of name):

Byun Baekhyun is the only son of Byun Taekyung and Byun Haeryung— the remaining heir to the House of Byun. He is arranged to marry Kim Taeyeon and is quite happy with her; he's the current Head Boy and a popular senior of Kim Pil Jung Academy who has smarts and charisma that makes him a big catch for the Kims.

Choi Jinri, or better known as Sulli, is the little minx that follows her ex, Kim Jongin, around. She is manipulative and selfish, making her the female population of KPJA's sworn enemy. Third heiress to the House of Choi, she has the skills and talent to rule anything or anyone— except the Noble Houses above her own, of course; she's prejudiced and an elitist.

Jung Soojung, who goes by the name of Krystal, is the only known heiress to the House of Jung— the most powerful and influential House of the country, technically making her the "crowned princess" after her sister's disownment. Manipulated ever since Jung Sooyeon's leave, she became untouchable and unapproachable— a girl with no freedom who blames her sister for everything; however, she thanks her boyfriend and bestfriend for being there for her.

Kang Seulgi, an athlete of KPJA, is the second of the four daughters to the current Lord of the second class House of Kang. Bethroted to Park Chanyeol, she helps her bestfriend, Soojung, to deal with everything— specially after knowing the latter's situation— for she had experienced it herself. Helpful and loyal, she's one of the pillars that Soojung holds onto.

Kim Jongin, or Kai, is the oldest son of Kim Hojung— the second heir to the House of Kim's seat right after Kim Sunggyu and Kim Taeyeon's mother— and, also, the only male to his siblings Yeri and Namjoo. Thinking that he's safe from all the troubles of carrying the reputations of the Kims on his back, he fools around, earning the title of being the playboy of the House, to only find himself in "deep e".

Kim Myungsoo, who prefers being called L, is the oldest son of Kim Junho— youngest brother of Jongin's father and the third heir to the seat— and Jiyeon’s (or Kei) older brother. He is caring and responsible to taking care of her after knowing that the girl had inherited his late mother's disease— doing everything on his best to aid her. He is also smitten to Park Jiyeon and is planning to propose to her.

Kim Taehyung is a third class child who isn't related to the House of Kim. He is often bullied for being anything but a "trash" to the society— a shame for the purebloods, they say. Hearing this, he learns to hate those who are above the pyramid; that is, however, pushed away after meeting Jongin's youngest sister, Yeri. He falls in love but finds himself in grave danger for it.

Kim Taeyeon, second daughter to Lady Mirae, the current heir to the House of Kim, is a humble person (and sister to Sunggyu) that everyone has grown to love. She is a senior and the Head Girl of KPJA; bethroted and in love with Byun Baekhyun, they are a good example for the arranging of marriage that makes some of the elder members of each House thrives— something that her House is proud of. She views all her cousins equal so she is unsure to whom Soojung belongs to.

Kim Yerim, or Yeri, is the youngest heiress to the House of Kim— making her the little princess of the whole family. She is a natural charmer, befriending anyone of any class without a second thought. Her status, however, is put into jeopardy when the elders knew about her relationship with a "trash"— something that Jongin would never allow. By all means, she is protected and she doesn't like it one bit.

Oh Sehun, who came from a second class family, is Jung Soojung's boyfriend— a secret one at that— that loves her deeply to his core. Though there had been a feudal going on between their family, that didn't stop them from seeing each other privately. All good things has it's end, unfortunately, after knowing about her improptu bethrotal to one of the Kims and another that involved him with one of her soon-to-be husband's cousin— or sister.

Park Chanyeol, Seulgi's fiancé, is Myungsoo's bestfriend and the next descendant to his father's throne after Jiyeon's father's death three months ago. He is playful but can be really frightening if things are involved with his only cousin, Jiyeon, and eleven year old brother, Chanho. Being uptight, however, is something he doesn't want to be but with people acting careless, he becomes like a nagging machine.

Park Jiyeon, Myungsoo's girlfriend, is an idol— a closet elitist who actually hates Jinri even though the latter reminds her of herself. She despises the obligations that is shoved to her after her father's death (and refuses to take his seat as the current Lady) but keeps herself intact with the family for power. Although a little cold-hearted, she equally feels the same for Myungsoo but is devastated after knowing his fortune.
