Mark struggles to keep up with the stressful life of a trainee.

He feels lonely, and he feels useless.

His dorm mates have big dreams, while he has none.

He loses faith in himself, and Jinyoung helps him to find strength. 

 

 

Foreword

A one-shot fic. Non-AU (set two years after Mark joined JYPE aka 2012), friendship. Markjin-based, with slight mentions of the other members (except Youngjae as he technically joined the group only 7 months before the debut).

I still have an ongoing Markjin/2jae chaptered fic, Strumming on heartstrings is not allowed (do check it out if you haven't!) and I know my readers are waiting for a chapter update but I'm really very busy T___T I will update it asap when I have time to sit down and think sigh.

I'm writing this because I'm really feeling very stressed in school and I need an outlet to vent my frustrations, and the other story isn't really suitable. 

Please do look forward to the update and let me know if you guys prefer a platonic friendship or slightly romantic one hehe.

Chapter 1: This was heart-breaking but so beautifully written. I can relate to Mark's feelings, his fear, his doubt, his stress, those unpleasant thoughts that manage to convince yourself that you are not good senough and that you will never be. I love how there is practically no romance because this is not w hat this fic is about. What is really important is the care, affection and friendship Mark and Jinyoung share. The ending made me smile because there is this positive and hopeful feeling about it. You did a wonderful job! I will definitely read this again!
