"I'm not the same person you remember." Yuri said, removing herself from the older girl's grip.

A beat of silence fell between the two girls.

"I know." Jessica spoke, softly at first, "We're not the same as we were back then, and we've both changed. But think back to when we were kids, when we made this together." Jessica held out the crinkled paper - yellow due to age, and shoved it in front of Yuri's face. "Look at this ridiculous list we made. A list of the adventures we would have after graduation." The girl let her arms drop back to her side, "What happened to our adventures?"

Yuri frowned but let the words linger before simply replying with, 'We grew up."
