Eclipse

On a Monday afternoon where the sun is at its peak, shining brightly among scattered clouds in the sky.

Mondays. How I hate this day.

Our class had to run 9 laps which was about 2 miles (3200 meters) in the duration of about an hour and 13 minutes. It wasn’t that hard since it wasn’t timed and we had more more leisure time. Another thing that didn’t make it hard was that the teacher didn’t count the amount of laps we ran.

I decided to jog maybe 6 laps and walk the last 3 laps. Well...you can’t say I jogged all 6 laps, well I jogged and walked since I was tired.

Don’t judge me. I’m pretty sure you guys do the same.

It was my fourth lap as I looked up to the sky. It was a nice afternoon since the clouds just makes it perfect. Time to time, the clouds would go over the sun and it would look like an eclipse but that only lasted half a minute or less.

A few more laps went by and I started walking. The sky started to get darker slightly. As the minutes passed, the darkness of the sky was like the time during a sunset.

I turned around and looked at the sky.

This time it was special.

It wasn’t the clouds covering the sun.

It was an eclipse.
